Daciana walked behind Lynne, they were both going to where the mines are in the tower.

She just had her breakfast, wolves naturally has a huge appetite but she couldn’t explain why she wasn’t able to eat much.

Maybe it’s because she is not very hungry.

Daciana walked with her head up high, even as a slave, she carried herself with dignity.

The slave uniform fitted perfectly on her body, aside that it was short. It looks like the dress was made just for her.

It hugs her curvy body but not that too much of exposure then, the people will still see how curvy she is by mere looking at her.

Her beautiful spotless face made some females envy her, her skin looks flawless.

That got some wolves wondering if she wasn’t the same person screaming in pain just yesterday.

She looks just fine and even glowing or is she masking her feelings?

She doesn’t look like someone in pain or someone in grievance. She looks anything but that.

On their way, she became a subject of stares, some bowed and some didn’t bother.

Daciana just walked, she doesn’t want whatever they did to get to her. She knows not everyone will like her, she doesn’t want them to like her if they don’t want to.

The king’s tower is big and beautiful, this is the first time she’s officially having a look at the place.

She haven’t had the time or rather, her mind were occupied whenever she pass by.

It’s been three days now, three days since she was brought to the tower as the king’s slave.

Time is really flying quickly.

Lynne stopped in a field, there were a few slaves busy with their works when they arrived at the mines.

Daciana sighed, this is her first day at work here. She has never worked on mines before, she doesn’t know how to extract it too.

When they sighted Lynne and daciana, the people paused and bowed to her.

“Good morning Luna” they greeted with respect.

If only she could stop them from addressing her as that, daciana will be more than excited.

Everyone knows that she’s the Alpha king’s mate. Till now, she keeps wondering how they all found out.

Is his scent that very strong on her? Of course it is natural since they have had sex numerous times.

She wish she’s not his mate, she wish she isn’t from this pack at all and running away won’t do her no good.

How sure is she that other pack leaders doesn’t hate commoners like her?

Daciana smiled genuinely at them, stepping further into the field as she stare around the place.

It was full of small pits, the pits occupied about seventy percent of the field.

They have known some Lunas to be rude and proud but she’s the opposite.

She replied their greetings and even smiled at them.

Working with her won’t be as difficult as they thought it would be. That’s a big relief.

“The Luna will be working on the mines with you all starting today, please put her through on how the work is done”  Lynne said to them.

“Yes Madam” they replied simultaneously.

After wards, Lynne turned to daciana who was seemingly lost in her own world of thoughts.

“Take it easy on yourself, if you feel like you are overworking yourself, you can stop and rest” she advised while Daciana nodded.

She knows that’s not part of the king’s order, the woman is just trying to make her comfortable. At least, she has someone that cares about her around.

Aside from little Okie, no one has ever been worried about her. No one cares!

When will she get to see the little girl?

Daciana doesn’t know if she is permitted to go out of the tower. Asking Alpha Connor is out of it.

“I will keep that in mind, thank you” she replied sincerely.

“Alright, you all take care” with that, Lynne sauntered out of the place leaving Daciana and the other slaves.

They were about eight of them.

A young bubbly girl walked up to her all smiles.

“I am Kaira, it will be a pleasure to explain how the work is done to you my Queen” she said excitedly.

Daciana had to chuckle, she’s now a Queen? This is more worse and foreign than being called Luna.

Oh, she prefers they address her as Luna. That’s much more preferable.

Daciana thought about the kind of reaction Alpha Connor will give if he hears any of them addressing her as Luna.

He had told her countless times within the span of three days on how she will never be accepted as his mate.

Will he punish her for allowing them call her that freely or will he kill them instead?

She shook the terrifying thought out of her mind and focused on the female before her.

“I am Daciana, I will be honoured if you put me through” she replied.

Kaira clapped her hands together childishly.

“Alright then, let’s get to work” she said taking fast strides towards one of the open air pit.

“Here, when you want to extract the mines, the first thing you do is to drill the probe holes in the ground, since there is no map, you plot the hole using an ink and make sure your bench is set”

Kaira kept on explaining to her and she listened with full attention.

After so many practices, she decided to try extracting a mine. Soon, she  became an expert.

They all chatted happily as they work like a happy family.

It’s not going to be that bad for Daciana with this people around her especially Kaira’s cheerfulness.

Everything seems to excited her, Daciana wonderered if the girl ever has something to worry about.

Is being a slave not so exhausting to her? Kaira seems genuinely happy like nothing bothers her at all.

At some point, Daciana wanted to be like her. She wanted to be free spirited like her but she knows that’s never possible.

She can only pretend to be fine, she can’t be fine. Not when the man that hates her most is her ruthless sex master.

Daciana’s day ended with her working on the mine, the only break they took was for lunch.

Fortunately, she has gained a friend from work. Kaira is really someone fun to be with, she keeps anyone entertained with her chatterbox of a mouth.

It was towards evening that they were done with their work for today.

Daciana sighed and slumped on the bed the moment she entered into her room.

She already feel really tired and exhausted but still, she was glad that her day turned out well.

At least, Alpha Connor was out of the picture. Her excitement died down as she remembered what he said to her yesterday.

She will be spending all her nights with him. Those words repeatedly rang in her head giving her goosebumps.

She thought she’d be free today as a whole, she totally forgot about her fate while she was working happily with others.

Why is her life such a hassle? The moment she wants to be happy, it gets snatched away.

Will she be able to continue bearing this pain? When will all this stop? Maybe when she dies?

If Daciana had a choice, she could have chosen it no matter how deadly it might be.

This is too much for her and her mental health.

The cool evening breeze blows  continuously around the small empire.

A slightly old male wolf sat on the chair with his subordinates surrounding him.

There have been quite a lot of conflicts among them for past few days.

“We know we are in no position to say this Alpha but it is a discussion that will be eventually brought up” one of the men said.

Alpha David watch them debate and whisper among themselves.

It is no news he understood what they want to say even before saying it.

“Yes Alpha, we still remembered what we went through in the hands of that pup years ago to get you to the position you are now,

You are becoming too old to run a pack and you unluckily don’t have a successor, we are suggesting that you step down to give room to another person being appointed as our leader”

Another wolf shipped in.

Alpha David laughed sinisterly while staring from one person to another.

Do they think he will give out his position as the Alpha just like that? This people in front of him are nothing but bunches of betrayals.

He did a lot of things, shed bloods and other things to attain the Alpha position. How could they tell him to step down?

“What do you all think? That I will step down from my throne? Even if I don’t have a successor, I will never leave, not until I die. Now listen to me, if any of you bring this up again,

I will make sure I kill you and give your dead pieces to your family, that’s if I am merciful enough to spare them”

With that, Alpha David glared at the perturbed wolves and walked away.

He had other things to worry about. Just a few hours ago, he got the news about that pup from years ago.

Alpha David learnt that he is alive and healthy.

That pose a threat to him than those old cargos. He might come back for them, for him. His only fear is loosing the throne.

That which will never happen, he will bring any one who come as a threat to him down. Sending them to hell will be the best thing to do.

He has come a long way to loose at this time, not after all his had done to secure the Alpha position in this pack.

He won’t loose, he will fight till he wins.

The mistake Alpha David made was letting him escape but now, he is going to put a stop to it.

The only mission he is interested in now is finding that pup and eliminating him.

This time around, there will be no mistake.
