Love or Die: CEO’ s Daily Dose of Swoon (Cordelia)

Chapter 230

Chapter 230

Queenie was practically buzzing with triumph, feeling like she had caught the first light of dawn.

It was clear Waldron was playing favorites here. Had it been someone as strict and demanding as Mr. Thomas, this whole issue wouldn't have been brushed off so lightly.

Queenie's words snapped Frankie back to reality. Squinting at the unfolding scene, he finally spoke up, "What's going on here?"

Why on earth were Lia and Mr. Watkins here of all places?!

Waldron's face tightened with tension. In the math community, Frankie was a big deal. If he decided to revoke Cordelia's exam entry, it would spell disaster!

Privately, Waldron did think Cordelia's actions were out of line, but not beyond redemption. Issuing a zero score was punishment enough in his eyes. But with Mr. Thomas on the scene, the stakes were different. Mr. Thomas was notoriously strict about academic integrity, having once expelled a grad student simply for being late to class!

Worriedly, Waldron glanced at Cordelia and hastily said, "It's just a minor issue, Mr. Thomas. What brings you here?"

At that, Queenie shrieked, "So, the safety of students at Autumn Gold Academic Bootcamp is just a 'minor issue' to you, Waldron?" "Safety?" Frankie panicked. His hopes were pinned on Lia; if anything happened to her, it wouldn't just be bad. It'd be catastrophic.

He sternly looked at Waldron, "Give me the details."

Seeing Frankie's serious demeanor, Waldron grew even more anxious. Before he could speak, Queenie blurted out, "Mr. Thomas, our school's student, colluding with outsiders, letting him freely enter the class and even sit next to Cordelia..."

"What?" Frankie's mind jumped to conclusions. Was some other school trying to poach Lia by getting close to her during her time in Ontoky City, aiming to win her over? That was unacceptable.

Frankie turned his gaze sharply towards Waldron, "This matter requires severe punishment!"

Waldron tried to explain, "It's just kids being kids..."

"Is 'kids being kids' an excuse? It demands severe punishment! I say, the student who lured in the outsider should see their grades slashed by half!" Frankie's firm statement was followed by an eerie silence in the room.

Confused, he looked at Waldron, "What's the problem?"

Waldron coughed, "Actually, given the seriousness, I've already issued a zero score."

Frankie pondered for a moment, "Zero might be harsh, but let it stand."

After all, liaising with outsiders to distract Lia? Unforgivable.

Queenie was astonished, "Mr. Thomas, are you just going to let it slide like this?"

Frankie frowned, "Let it slide? Do you have any idea how hard some students work on math to get into college? A zero score is devastating! It means if they don't place in the top sixty of the national math contest, they lose all their scholarship opportunities!"

Queenie was speechless.

Frankie then turned to Waldron, his voice edged with frustration, "Where's this outsider who dared disrupt... our star pupil Cordelia's class? Have you caught him?"

He was eager to find out which school or university was trying to tamper with Lia - Top Crest Academy, perhaps, or maybe something from the south? Seeing Frankie's reaction energized Queenie. If they couldn't penalize Cordelia, could they not at least deal with her boyfriend? Calling the police seemed a reasonable step, at least to hold him for a few days.

She stated, "We caught him. He's still boldly attending classes! Mr. Thomas, this is alarming. He blatantly sits by Cordelia, disrupting the class order. We must call the police!"

Daisy and Keen hurriedly interjected, "Isn't this a bit much? He didn't really do anything wrong..."

"Disrupting a class isn't wrong?!" Before Queenie could retort, Frankie was already fuming.

Daisy quickly clarified, "Mr. Thomas, it's not like that. He was quiet in class, not disturbing our study at all!"

Keen nodded in agreement, "He's practically invisible, didn't make a single peep!"

Waldron added, "It's just a young man, unable to contain his budding feelings...'

Before he could finish, Queenie cut

in, "How can you all take this so lightly? This is serious! Yes, he didn't speak during class, but he kept staring at Cordelia, and they even had lunch together! Are you saying that didn't disrupt anything?"

Staring at Lia during class and pestering her afterward?

Frankie was livid, "Who is it? I want to see who dares to corrupt my Lia!"

Not taking Superiority College seriously, were they?

As Frankie's anger mounted, Daisy and Keen looked desperately towards Cordelia, only to see the person in question looking entirely unfazed, as if she were merely a spectator.

And Everard? He looked even more detached, as if he was merely watching a play in which he wasn't the lead.

Waldron was beside himself with

worry. Though he could save Cordelia, Everard was a different story. After all, he was an outsider who had broken the rules by

entering the school, et

police involvement according to school policy.

As the three of them fretted, Cordelia was about to speak when Queenie pointed at Everard and announced, "It's him!"

Frankie followed her pointing finger, his face flushed with anger, then suddenly froze. "What?"

Queenie continued, her voice

steeped in indignation, "They've been making googly eyes at each other in class. High schoolers aren't allowed to date; it's in the school rules, right? But here they are, blatantly flaunting their relationship, sharing lunches, goofing around together, it's utterly disgraceful! Mr. Thomas, Cordelia is a student, and while you might not be able to do much about that, this outsider, he's definitely leading her astray. We should call the cops on him!"

Frankie was speechless, his brain struggling to process the information. Wasn't this outsider supposed to be some spy from another college, not Mr. Watkins?!

With that thought, he saw Everard, Mr. Watkins himself, with a slight smirk, "Yes, it's me. I wonder, Mr. Thomas, how do you plan to deal with me?" Though there was a smile, it didn't reach his eyes, and a chill seemed to emanate from him, making the classroom feel as if it were in the dead of winter.

Frankie was in panic mode. Deal with Mr. Watkins? That would be a death wish! This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Queenie, relentless, pressed on, "Mr. Thomas, look at his arrogance! It's unacceptable!"
