Breakfast And Waiting
He opened the door a little and poked his head out.
“Well…. you know that I’m used to eating late so that time seems okay with me, but if you are hungry and can’t wait till 10, you could order room service and eat anything you want.”
He poked his head back inside the room and closed the door behind him.
Marissa nodded.
“Maybe I should just wait since I’m all dressed up for the meeting. I don’t want to ruin my perfect makeup.”
Marissa decided to wait for their scheduled breakfast meeting and, as she did so, she turned on the TV to pass the time.
While she watched the morning news, she could hear the faint sound of the shower running from the bathroom, indicating that Alexander was getting ready as well.
The soothing sound of the water helped calm her nerves, and she took a few deep breaths to steady herself for the upcoming meeting.
As the minutes ticked away, she focused on the TV, eager to stay distracted while she waited for Alexander to finish his shower.
As Marissa watched the TV, she couldn’t help but think about the strange turn her life had taken. Just a short time ago, she was dealing with the stress of her brother’s medical bills, and now she was in Switzerland, preparing for an important business meeting as part of her faux-marital escapade with Alexander.
The noise from the shower started to fade, and soon Alexander emerged from the bathroom, looking refreshed and confident.
“Ready for our meeting?” he asked, drying his hair with a towel.
Marissa looked at him with a shocked expression and quickly turned her gaze away.
“Woah! Put some clothes on.”
Alexander who was drying his hair with a towel smiled
“You like what you see?”
“Um… no. Please could you just go in there and put some clothes on.” she said, her gaze still away not wanting to look at him as he was standing there drying his hair.
Alexander chuckled.
“Why are you uncomfortable with me wearing a towel around my waist and you see my sexy chest huh?”
Marissa rolled her eyes in disgust.
“Trust me, Alexander, you’re not the reason I’m blushing,” she said.
“Now, could you please get dressed so we can head to our meeting? We don’t have time for this.”
Marissa’s face turned bright red as she stood her ground, refusing to give in to Alexander’s teasing.
Alexander couldn’t help but laugh at Marissa’s flustered state. He quickly put on a shirt, still grinning mischievously.
“Alright, alright, no need to be so serious. I’m dressed and ready to go.”
After a few minutes, Alexander was set and ready to go. He looked dashing in his white shirt and blue jeans.
Alexander emerged from the room looking sharp in a crisp white shirt and well-fitted blue jeans.
He appeared effortlessly stylish, and Marissa couldn’t help but notice the charm in his casual yet elegant attire.
As she took in his appearance, Marissa had a brief moment of internal panic. The casual attire that would pass easily in the bustling city back home felt almost too relaxed for Switzerland’s elegance.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
She snapped out of her thoughts with a mental shake, reminding herself to focus on the business aspect of the trip.
“Ready to go?” Alexander asked with a confident smile.
Marissa quickly nodded, still feeling flustered but determined to maintain her professionalism, pushing aside the momentary crazy feelings that had crept into her mind.
With that, they left their room and headed to the important business meeting, putting their personal feelings and playful teasing aside for the time being.
They got to the most expensive restaurant in Switzerland.
When they entered the fancy restaurant in Switzerland, Marissa was amazed by its beauty.
The place was filled with beautiful decorations, like sparkling chandeliers and elegant furniture. Everything about it spoke luxury.
The restaurant staff greeted them warmly and showed them to their reserved table.
As they sat down at the restaurant, Marissa couldn’t help but admire the elegant surroundings.
She leaned in towards Alexander and said, “This place is so luxurious, Alexander. I feel like I’m in a fancy movie or something.”
Alexander smiled,
“It’s one of the finest restaurants in Switzerland. We have to make a lasting impression today.
So, what do you think of the menu? Any Swiss dishes you want to try?”
Marissa looked at the menu, a bit overwhelmed.
“I don’t even know where to start. What’s a must-try Swiss dish?”
Alexander chuckled,
“How about trying some traditional Swiss fondue? It’s a cheese-lover’s dream.”
Marissa’s eyes lit up, “Fondue it is! And what about you? Do you have any special preferences for today’s meeting?”
Alexander glanced around the restaurant thoughtfully,
“I think I’ll go for a classic Swiss dish, maybe a Zurich-style veal dish. It’s known for its rich flavors.”
“That would look yum.” she said.
While they waited for their business partner. Alexander excused himself.
“Sorry, I have to make a few calls. I’ll be right back.”
Marissa nodded and smiled as she watched Alexander walk out to make a phone call.
She was alone and kept looking around the beautiful restaurant.
“I feel like I’m living a fairy tale life that I don’t want to leave.” she told herself.
As Marissa sat alone in the elegant restaurant, her mind drifted to the events of the past few days. She couldn’t believe how quickly her life had taken a dramatic turn.
“I was just a struggling woman, doing everything I could to support my brother’s medical bills,” she thought to herself.
“And now, here I am, pretending to be married to a millionaire and attending high-stakes business meetings.”
The thought of her brother, who was counting on her to secure the contract, weighed heavily on her mind. She was determined to do whatever it took to ensure his well-being, even if it meant navigating this unconventional situation.
She couldn’t deny that the lifestyle and surroundings were far from what she was accustomed to.
The luxury and extravagance of the restaurant and the trip itself seemed like something out of a movie.
Marissa couldn’t help but wonder about Alexander. His transformation from a seemingly indifferent and cold businessman into someone who was making an effort to be considerate and caring had caught her off guard.
She found herself thinking about the moments they had shared, especially the unexpected closeness in their shared living space.
But she quickly reminded herself of their agreement and the purpose of their arrangement.
This wasn’t about personal feelings; it was about securing a contract that could change the course of her brother’s life.
With a sigh, Marissa focused on the present, waiting for Alexander to return from his phone call and for their potential business partners to arrive.
