Chapter 8
Chapter 8
Warning:- Violence and rape ahead in this chapter, in Maya's story line. It is necessary to develop her
character ahead in the story. I am trying to keep the gory details out of the story, so the story will be
jumping time a bit.

"Where is Maya, Claire? We should bring her back. Is she in our hideout?", Xander asked his eyes
shining with happiness. He would be able to start a proper relationship with his mate. He won't have to
hurt her. He was elated and he couldn't wait to see her again. Her beautiful eyes, her face, her smile...
He missed them. His wolf was whining for him to go and get her. Xander was prepared to grovel for her
forgiveness of his part in her abduction. He would finally be complete.
At his words, Claire lost the colour in her face. "Oh no.. Maya.." Claire gasped softly, "I.. I am sorry... I
thought... I thought that you will not be able to hurt her... I.. so I.."
A loud growl interrupted her stuttered speech. Ken strode over to her angrily. He got uncomfortably
close to her face and growled out, "What did you do to her?". He reached out to grab Claire's collar and
pulled her close and stilled in surprise. His wolf had said the one word he never expected, the one word
that ensured Claire's protection in the face of his anger. Mate. His wolf had proclaimed her as his mate.
He let go of her and stumbled back.
Claire too had gone still in surprise. "No... No... It can't be... Oh my God! No..." she vehemently denied
and started sobbing uncontrollably.
"Can anyone tell me what is going on?", Marcus yelled.
"She is my mate." Ken replied softly. He was too stunned to move.
"What? Why didn't you realise that sooner?" Marcus asked.
"Guys... I think we should be focusing on Maya here. They are mates. It's a good thing. But we need to
get Maya home.", Xander interrupted.
"I.. I am so sorry.." Claire began to explain.
"Just spit it out already." Justin thundered. Ken reacted to it and placed himself between Claire and
others shielding her from their glare.
"I took her to a bar. She was unconscious. I sold her to a rogue." Claire whispered the last part out. Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
Everyone around her focused suddenly on her. Even Ken was not able to believe what he had heard.
He stepped back in shock. This time Xander growled, he began to lose his control on his wolf and
started to shift. Fur started to sprout from his skin.
"Hold it Xander. We need to be focused if we are going to get her back. Reign in your wolf now. Claire
tell us the details. What exactly you did? Who was the guy? Be quick. Time is of essence." Judy
calmed everyone down and refocused them on the main issue.
Mary Ann interrupted, "Let's talk on the way. We should go to the bar."
Both of them were quick thinking and clever females. They were completely worthy of their Luna title.
Mary Ann was disgusted with her daughter. She didn't want to be but what kind of Luna would she be if
she treated others with little to no regard. She loved her daughter, was even pleased to meet her after
so many years, but couldn't help being disappointed with her. She couldn't meet anyone's eyes. Mary
Ann hoped for Claire's sake that Maya was found in time otherwise it would lead to a very strained
relationship with her new family.
Both of the families quickly loaded in two cars. And started to head towards the bar Claire directed
them to. But only disappointment waited for them. The bar was closed all it's patrons had left for the
night.
"This bar... Only the lowest of low, the scum of eart visit this bar. They crack all kinds of deals here.
Everything from drugs to weapons to women are sold here. What did you do Claire? How could you?
You are a woman are you not? How could you hurt another woman like this?" Justin shouted finally
losing his temper. He shifted into his wolf ready to tear down his friend's daughter to pieces. His wolf
was going mad at the fate dealt to his cub. He could no longer keep the wolf in check and he lunged at
Claire.
However, Ken too reacted and jumped. They both collided and fell to the ground loud growls ensuing
from their mouth, Ken held his father's wolf form to the ground without shifting. Justin shifted to his
human form and stared at Ken in a disappointed manner. Ken bent his head, "I am sorry Dad... Mom
please forgive me."
Judy was staring at them in disbelief. She calmly walked towards Justin and said, "We have to find our
daughter. Collect yourself. Ken... find our daughter." Judy's voice was soft but it quivered with heavy
emotions. She turned to the Lockhart family who were watching them warily. "Mary Ann... never have I
regretted our friendship or your arrival in our pack. But today.. " Judy left the sentence hanging. Both
the Lockhart elders hung their head in shame.
All of them headed back to the pack. grounds, lost in their own thoughts.
---------------------
A week after Maya's abduction:
"Ahhh......" Maya's screams echoed in the underground cellar. A drop of blood rolled off her leg and
dripped on the ground. Another cut was made in her skin. There was not an inch of space left on her
skin which was left unmarked.
"Tsk tsk... My dear slave.. does it hurt much? Only you can stop this pain. You just have to accept your
role in my life. After all it is not like you have any option left. You have been rejected by your true mate.
Still No?? Maybe a different treatment will make you more receptive of me." saying so Leandro
dropped his pants and stepped ahead.
"No please.. No.." Maya began trashing.
"I can't help it slave. You refuse to break in any other way." Leandro replied with an evil undertone.
He held her neck in one hand and started squeezing it. He entered her swiftly and ruthlessly and began
pounding away. He was using her to get off and to prevent Maya from screaming he kept a hold of her
throat. He then leaned closer to her face and licked it from her chin to the hair line.
Maya was trashing to breath, the pain that she was feeling was intensified. She thought that she would
not be able to escape alive this time. Her thoughts went to her mate who had ruthlessly thrown her to
this fate. 'Would he be feeling even a little sad? a little guilty?' she thought. Her head screamed No and
her heart broke. She felt betrayed and angry at him.
Leandro finished and then stepped back looking at the broken form of Maya. For the first time since he
started hitting her he could sense her broken spirit. He then calmly fixed his clothes and walked over to
her.
Maya was hanging from the wall her ability to support herself gone completely, her head bent as if all
her pride was lost.
"Looks like today was my lucky day. Do you know how you look right now? Like a slave. MY slave. So
much for being an Alpha's daughter. The Alpha blood didn't help you at all did it?" Leandro taunted her.
Maya just laid prone not giving any reactions. Leandro stepped out after giving her a satisfied look.
Maya tried connect with her wolf again. Her wolf responded with a weak whimper as last time. Her wolf
was also suffering with her. The silver kept it subdued but all the pain that Maya went through was
witnessed by her wolf. She also suffered with Maya as the Rouge's hands destroyed them body and
soul. Maya could feel the pain of her wolf coming down to her in trickles through the limited connection
they seemed to retain.
"Can you hear me?" Maya asked her wolf. "If you can, I am sorry... Sorry that you were paired with me.
Sorry that you are suffering here with me. Sorry that our mate didn't love me. Sorry that I am helpless
and cannot get you out of this situation. But... I am also thankful.. thankful that I got to spend an
amazing life with you by my side. Thankful for your presence whenever I felt lonely. Thankful for being
born with you as a part of my soul. It was great knowing you." and with those words Maya cut off her
connection from her wolf completely so that she can be spared the pain that will come their way. She
then succumbed to her injuries and fell unconscious
With morning's arrival came more pain for Maya. Leandro came down to the cell this time with a
hammer. Ten minutes later Maya's screams once again echoed the cell. Leandro was intent on
breaking her bones with the hammer. He noticed that the bones he broke were not healing anymore.
"Look at that, will you? Your bones are not healing anymore. It seems as if even your wolf deserted
you." Leandro taunted once again. Maya kept quiet focusing her energy on staying conscious.
Although Maya knew that getting out of here was going to be impossible, she couldn't help praying to
the Moon Goddess Luna. Finally tired out Leandro left her alone.
