Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 413

Chapter 413

After speaking, she voluntarily linked arms with Chad, turning to tell Coleen, “I’m always relying on my

brother, you know.”

Coleen sighed. “You are really pissing me off.”

It’s a worry for parents when siblings don’t get along. But in her case, the siblings got along too well,

and it was a worry for her as a mother too.

Chad was mature and steady. He comforted his mother, “Mom, why don’t you go to bed? Molly and I

haven’t seen each other in a while. We’re just going to catch up in the living room.”

Coleen took the glass of water her husband handed her and headed upstairs. “Don’t stay up too late,”

she reminded them before leaving.

Once their mother had left, Chad revisited the question from earlier. “Molly, you still didn’t answer me.

Will you still let me hang out with you when you have a boyfriend?”

Molly was quick to respond, “And will you still hang out with me when you have a girlfriend?”

Chad chuckled. “Probably not.” Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Molly looked unhappy. “I knew it. Once you get a wife, you will forget about your sister.”

Chad was in a good mood. He decided to give his sister some advice. “Do you know what you have to

do to be my one and only?”

Molly blinked at him. “Yeah, kill anyone else, right?”

Chad was taken aback. His sister could be so brutal and foolish!

“But wouldn’t that be illegal?” Thankfully, Molly still had some sense in her, knowing that she’d be

crossing a line legally.

Before Chad could even feel relief, Molly asked, “If I really did kill someone, could you protect me?”

“I’d be betraying my job if I didn’t arrest you myself!” Officer Chad threatened.

Molly flinched a little. “Then how can I be your one and only?”

Looking into her dark, shiny eyes, Chad said, “Stay by my side, as close as possible, at every stage of

life. Do you understand?”

Molly pouted. “If I say I don’t understand, you’ll probably want to kill me. But I really don’t understand.”

Chad was losing his patience. “Think about it yourself.”

Chad stood up, pulling his sister from the couch. “Let’s go to bed.”

When they reached the door to her bedroom, Molly stopped. She grabbed Chad’s wrist and asked him

seriously, “If I really killed someone, would you arrest me?”

Chad said, “I will protect you.”

Molly asked, “What about your future?”

Chad replied, “You’re more important.”

After saying that, he opened the door to her room, pushed her in, and closed the door behind her.

Molly looked at the closed door and smiled. For some reason, she felt happy. “Chad, I think I

understand what you mean now.”

The next day, Leo returned home. He yawned and rubbed his eyes, which were red and swollen from

lack of sleep.

Mia asked, “Where were you last night?”

“At the hospital. Uncle’s kick nearly sent Kyle straight to the morgue. He’s in the ICU now, unconscious.

I went to interrogate him last night.”

Mia quickly poured a glass of water for her nephew and then hurried over to get the details. “Did you

find out anything?”

“Nothing. Chad said he’d give it a try this morning.”

Mia nodded. “Interrogation is best left to the professionals. We only need to provide ideas and help

catch the criminal.”

Leo could hear the pride in Mia’s voice. He asked, “Are you proud?”

Mia seemed confused. “Oh, I didn’t realize I was showing it.”

She had every reason to be proud. Her idea had cured Ellory and Kyle’s madness. Her brain had been

working overtime last night, coming up with all sorts of ideas for her husband. She just couldn’t stop.

When they were about to go to bed, Andre even had to cover her mouth. “No more talking. Go to sleep.

Close your eyes.”

“Where’s my uncle?”

Andre’s little darling said, “He must be at work. He doesn’t let us gather together when he’s home.”

Leo nodded in agreement. He took a sip of his water. “He’s afraid we’ll team up and cause trouble.”

When the subject of teaming up came up, Mia had a new idea. “Leo, I have a task for you…” Mia was

planning ahead again!

Seeing what was coming, Leo said, “I’m out of here.”

Before he could escape, Mia grabbed him. “Come on, let’s go to the backyard.”

Andre had been vague about what he was up to lately. Every time Mia tried to find out about the Walton

family’s affairs, he would brush her off. Luckily, she had a reliable source of information.

Every day, Leo was forced to report to Mia as soon as he found out anything.

When Molly came home one day, she asked about Ellory and Kyle. When she found out what they had

done to Naomi, she was silent for a while. Then she did something unexpected and felt a pang of

kindness. “Leo, don’t the patients in the ICU wear oxygen masks?”

Leo looked at her suspiciously. “Molly, what are you planning?”

“‘Accidentally’ pulling out the oxygen tube wouldn’t be illegal, right?”

Mia paused in the middle of eating nuts. “Good idea.”

Leo asked, “What do you mean ‘accidentally?’”

Mia looked at Molly. “Little Molly, tell us.”

Molly nodded. “Alright. I’ll go to my brother’s station, check out some classic cases, and then share

them with you. We’ll take the best parts and discard the rest to come up with a perfect plan.”

When Chad found out that Molly was planning to pull out Rodrigo’s oxygen tube and wanted his help in

studying past criminal records, he was so angry that he paced back and forth in his office. “He’s

already on the brink of death, and you want to harm him further? Are you trying to get yourself

arrested?”

Upon hearing this, Molly asked excitedly, “Really? He’s about to die?”

Chad said, “Don’t get too excited. He’s in this state because of your brother Andre.”

When Molly heard this, she was not only not worried but also even happier. “That’s even better!”

Chad was perplexed. “What?”

Molly explained, “If I go and pull out his oxygen tube now, and the police investigation shows that he

died from lack of oxygen, then it has nothing to do with Andre.”

Chad shouted, “Molly!”

Eventually, Chad took his younger sister to Cedillo Inc., where he left her under the supervision of the

three men she feared the most.

Upon hearing what his sister was about to do, Andre merely looked at her, raising his gaze. Molly, who

was always on about something, hid fearfully behind Chad.

Chad retorted, “Why are you hiding? Come out here. You were all talk in my office earlier, but why don’t

you say it now in front of Andre?”

Molly felt if she was going down, she must take someone with her. “Andre, your wife is also involved in

this matter.”

Best friends in the world should stick together through thick and thin, even if it means going down

together. That’s true sisterhood!
