A Relentless Pursuit for Love

Chapter 613

Chapter 613

The control tower was stunned. Was the pilot kidding?

Right at that moment, Sage picked up the interphone device, and said to the cockpit, “Mr Pilot, the All American Airlines 1549 incident was because of a similar birds crashing incident, and they were forced to land in the sea to keep everyone alive. The Blue Sapphire Sea is right in front of us, I hope you could make a decision immediately. My brother said that you used to fly war jets, I have faith in your professional judgment and skills, we will be able to land successfully.”

She was trying hard to remain composed while speaking, hoping to influence the pilot with her confidence, even though her heart was almost leaping out of her throat.

At this critical moment, any smallest decision will put everyone’s life at stake. She did not want to die on the plane, and definitely did not want to make it to the headlines because of a plane crash.

Sage was still holding the interphone, she could feel the plane was still in falling motion, and was starting to feel an unprecedented sense of helplessness. She had not even seen Tim, and had not found her own parents, there were so many people waiting for her, she could not die now. How could she die?

It was a blur as the flashbacks flushed in. She saw many people flash before her eyes, including Jace.

It felt as though a century had passed, but she still did not receive an answer. Sage closed her eyes, feeling hopeless.

More passengers were standing up, and were all desperate to put on the parachute and jump off the flight, in exchange for a chance to live.

Suddenly, a deep voice came through the speakers. “Dear passengers, this is your Captain Yale speaking. We have encountered an emergency condition, and are forced to land in the sea. Please remain calm, and get ready for an emergency escape.”

Sage opened her eyes wide upon hearing this, her heart skipped a beat, but at the same time felt slightly more grounded. Her body was almost limpy,

The economy cabin was still in chaos, she could hear incessant loud noises from afar.

“Forced to land in the sea? Is he crazy? Does he even know how to fly a plane? He is seriously betting against all 300 lives on this plane!” A passenger was almost hysterical. He left his seat and was dashing out, the two flight attendants could not even restrain him. The lead cabin crew went forward in attempts to resolve the conflict, only to receive a hard slap on her face.

Sage caught the lead cabin crew, her eyes were cold, and immediately went ahead to slap the passenger across his face.

The loud noise from the slap successfully silenced the entire cabin.

“Stop messing around,” Sage said in a cold tone, “Do you even know how to fly a plane?”

She slowly looked around, “Our lives are not hanging on one thread held in the pilot’s hand.

Whoever has the skills, will be in charge. We could only have faith and trust him! Please give him our trust!”

Everyone finally fell quiet. Sage then looked at the lead cabin crew and asked her, “Are you alright?”

The lead cabin crew wiped the blood off the corner of her lip, and nodded.

“Alright then, back to you to handle. I believe in your competence.” Sage’s trust and confidence gave everyone a boost mentally about the situation. The passengers settled back in their seats, and said, “We trust you! Please tell us what to do!” The cabin crew aired the instructions on emergency escape, and everyone was listening attentively in preparation for the forced landing. Sage, Abby and Allie followed suit too. The process seemed to have lasted for an eternity, but was in fact happening in a few minutes only.

Meanwhile in the cockpit, Captain Yale was operating to land the plane, and the flight had entered the emergency landing system. The plane was only flying at 250 ft above the ground, but at a speed of 80 miles per hour.

The co-pilot was assisting alongside, reporting the speed and height from time to time, so that the pilot could operate accordingly. Everyone sweated as the plane got closer to the surface of the water. Sage’s palms were sweating too, and her face was pale.

“Splash!” The plane’s belly slapped the surface of the water, and then plunged into the water. Water was splashed up in all directions, and the body of the plane was aggressively shaking.Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
