Chapter 662
Chapter 662
Back in Birmingham, Tim sent Sage back to Meadow Castle and headed to Humming Hills. There were things that had to be settled between him and Madam Meyers. It was late at night in Birmingham, whilst Salem was just before dawn. Sage did not call as she assumed that certain someone must have been sleeping. She took a shower and got ready for bed. Jace, on the other hand, had been checking his phone an ungodly amount of times. Yet, there were no messages from Sage.
When he closed his eyes, he swore he could hear his phone ring, as if he was hallucinating. He then tumed his phone volume to the highest.
Jace tossed and turned the whole night, unable to fall asleep.
Sage, over at the other side, had just lit up a rose-scented candle. She put on her sleeping eye mask and fell asleep in an instant with the aid of the sound of the rain outside. The next day, early in the morning, she woke up lazily from her sleep. She wanted to do some light stretching to wake herself up. Tim and Seth were not home, but fortunately, her godfather was in the castle. Sage woke him up and dragged him to the backyard for some light exercise. “Godfather, let me teach you some stretching exercises that help with anti-aging.”
Sage tried to explain it in his language. Senior Shelby seemed to be confused but followed her steps anyway However, due to Senior Shelby not being able to follow the light yet complicated stretching exercises, they were eventually transformed into the military exercises he was familiar with. Senior Shelby felt his old bones rattling. Sage felt much more awake after torturing her godfather. After having breakfast together, Sage headed upstairs and received a call from Leah. “Leah, what’s up?”
“Sage, Julian Jefferson is gone,” said Leah. Julian Jefferson had died.
A body was found in a luxury car on the outskirts of the city at about six-thirty in the morning. After investigation, the body belonged to the son of the bankrupted Jefferson Group, Julian Jefferson.
“He died in the outskirts of the city, police said that he had been partying with a group of friends the night before and drank heavily, along with some drugs.” Sage frowned deeply as she listened to Leah.
Sage was aware that Julian was an addict, she had predicted that he would not be able to survive through fall that year, and even if he survived, he would be in prison.
“How did he die?” Sage asked without much emotion.
“The autopsy result shows that he died from the lack of oxygen in the car. They found an injury on his head along with some glass shards as well. He probably got into a fight with someone before and got his head hit by a glass bottle. The police had started questioning his friends, and those wealthy, trashy friends of his were all at risk as well, because… The autopsy result also shows that Julian was HIV positive.” “What? Yeva…” Sage’s face shifted in an instant. “Don’t worry, Sage. Hunter and I had brought Yeva to the hospital once we got the news. She’s healthy and was tested negative.”
Sage sighed in relief and said, “What would I do without you.”
Sage then said worriedly, “Make sure to watch Yeva, don’t let her visit Julian. He might be dead, but it’s still risky.”
“Yeah, I know.” Leah said, “When Yeva learned that Julian had died, she was surprisingly calm. She sat silently for a long time before saying, ‘this is it’. Sage did not know what to say. She did not have much sympathy for either Julian or Yeva. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Aunt Shiloh came back to the country to take Yeva away with her today.”
“That’s good.” Sage continued, “Just help her with packing then. I’ll have Hunter transfer some money to your account and pass them over to Aunt Shiloh.” “It’s okay, Sage, I have…” “Please.”
Sage hung up the call shortly after and texted Hunter right away. She had just realized the number of unread messages on her phone. Dean and Jim Sylas had both sent her messages. Dean was reporting things regarding work and told her that his legs were recovering fine, said to not worry about him and thanked her for taking care of his brother, Jim.
