Coming Home Chapter 21
MAKENZIE
I ran my fingers through my hair. I shouldn't have washed it. It was too limp. The deep body-forming curls weren't doing thei job. I had wanted lush shampoo commercial hair, but not the part of the commercial where the hair was dripping wet.
I fluffed my hair and double-checked my makeup. On any normal day, I wore a minimal amount, enough so that I didn't look sickly, and that people could tell I had eyebrows and lashes. The fine blonde hairs tended to lighten in the summer, disappearing even further into my completion. Tonight, I had a little extra brow action, and I wore false lashes. I swiped an extra shimmer of gold across my lips, and added coral lipsticks, instead of my usual colorless lip balm.
Alot of work had gone into making my face look natural but enhanced. My effortless appearance was nothing but effort. The push-up bra I wore cut into my shoulders a bit too much to be comfortable, but what they did for my breasts was worth it. If I was going to go out with Holden, I wanted him to regret every day he stayed away from me, every word he never wrote I wanted him to look at me and have his brain go smooth, and his d**k go hard.
The nerves I felt were less about having him accept me, but if I could succeed at reducing him to quivering gelatine. I wantec some form of power over him. He had pursued me into a corner, and I didn't think it had been fair asking me out and having my class gang up on me to encourage him.
Even though I hadn't lied. I wanted to reconnect; I just didn’t want to get hurt again. I had kept his secret when he asked, no one ever knew, not even my best friend in school, that we were seeing each other. But he hadn't kept his end of the bargain, that after graduation, first his, and then mine, he would announce our engagement. When it was time for that, he ran away. He may not have seen it that way, but that's how it felt. This time, I wasn't hiding anything. If he wanted me, he needed to be honest about it. The nerves in my stomach threatened to riot. I had my convictions. Now came the real test, could I stick to them?
“Hey, Mak, there's a fancy limo out front,” Ethan yelled up the stairs.
I stepped out of my room and walked down the stairs. “Ethan, we don't yell from upstairs, or from other rooms. It's not polite, and it teaches little ears bad habits”
“Oh, sorry. But there's a limo out front. I think it's your date.”
The doorbell rang.
“Grab that, will you?" I asked as I hurried to kiss Ainsley. “Be good for Ethan."
Ainsley gave me a hug that was like a vice grip and pressed her mouth to my cheek in a sloppy kiss.
I grabbed my purse for the evening and met the driver at the door.
He stepped out of my way and gestured for me to walk to the car. He got in front of me and opened the garden gate that separated the house from the street.
The back door on the limo was already open, and Holden sat there. His hands rested on a cane propped between his feet.
“I hope you don't mind. I wasn't feeling up to your front walk”
“Not at all," I said as I slipped into the limo and sat across from him. “The cobblestones can be hazardous when you don't have full control of your balance.”
I cast my gaze around the limo, and over my shoulder at the raised divider blocking the driver from view.
“This is excessive.” I pursed my lips and raised my brows. I didn't want him to think I was as impressed as I was. The last time Thad been picked up in a limo was for my high school prom, and this had a very different mood about it.
“I wanted to make a good first impression. I still can't drive, and I wasn't going to pick you up in an Uber.”
“I could have driven,” I said.
“But then none of this would be a surprise.”
“I hope what 'm wearing is acceptable.”
Holden leaned forward and let out a throaty almost purr, almost growling. “Why are you sitting so far away?”
I lifted my brows and smirked. My plot to have him bewitched was well underway.
“I wouldn't want to appear all mussed when we get where we're going”
He sat back and looked smug. “You are a tease, Makenzie."
I laughed. “Says the man who picked me up in a limo. If I'm a tease you are trying to flaunt your money. So where are you taking me in all of this luxury, anyways?"
“It's exclusive.” He continued to smolder at me until the car stopped. We were at the marina.
When he said exclusive, I thought he might have meant one of the more upscale restaurants on the island. I wasn't thinking about a dinner cruise. And I certainly wasn't thinking about a yacht when the limo driver turned into a speedboat driver and ferried us out.
“Holden?” I couldn't wrap my head around the boat we were approaching. It looked like a spaceship floating out in the surf. “I thought your father was in aviation, not in superyachts.”
“It's a friend's,” he said as he followed me out of the speedboat.
Holden moved slowly, but I did as well. The ship was incredibly stable, and I didn’t have to worry about sea legs. I followed him into the ship and into one of the inner rooms. It was a lavishly appointed sitting room, with a dining table set in the center.
The champagne flutes were cut crystal, and the strawberries were dipped in chocolate.
“Holden, you really do know how to impress."
He was standing right behind me, and when I turned, he put his arms around me.
“Tell me if 'm moving too fast
I pressed my entire length against his body and twisted my fingers into the hair at the back of his neck.
“This was kind of my plan, to begin with," I confessed.
“To seduce me? Funny, that was my plan as well. I've missed you, Makenzie."
His lips descended on mine, and I forgot about not getting mussed before dinner.
I leaned into the kiss, pressing against him, pulling him closer. We stumbled and half fell onto the couch. I couldn't stop touching him, running my hands over the smooth fabric of his dress shirt, feeling the muscles in his arms as he moved.
He slid to the floor, and I gasped and reached for him, thinking he had fallen. But when he shoved my knees apart and pushed up my skirt, I knew he was fully in command of his actions. I pressed my hands down my hips and fought Holden to pull my knees back together long enough to get my underwear off.
He scraped his teeth along my inner thigh. He dug fingers into my hips, kneading as he grabbed onto me and pulled my hips to the edge of the couch. I fell back and let my head roll to the side. My breath came faster the closer he got to my core.
His hot breath caressed my pussy, and then I felt his tongue. I whimpered as he delved into my folds and began sucking on my ct
Ilaced my fingers into his hair and held his head to me. Lightning crashed through my body, all from the wicked power of hi tongue. I hadn't had a man touch me at all, let alone like this since the last time I had been with him.
He pushed my leg up and hooked it over his shoulder. I couldn't think, not with him doing such magical things to me. I rocked my hips wanting to get closer. I gasped and felt like I would levitate off the couch when I felt him slide a finger into my depths.
Holden was a man on a mission. He added a second finger, and it was pure bliss. Pressure built in my core. Each stroke of finger, each lick of his tongue, and every sucking kiss against my c**t mounted the intensity of our actions.
“Holden, I." I don't know why I tried to speak. I couldn't form cohesive thoughts, forget about complete sentences.Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
I cried out and curled in on myself and clutched his head to me as waves of orgasmic spasms took over my body. Shudders racked my body to the point where I couldn't do much of anything. I was wrung out and limp. But Holden didn't relent. He continued to lick and suck every twitch out of me.
I whimpered as his fingers slid from me. He sat back and smoldered at me. Running his fingers over his mouth, he licked anc then sucked his fingertips into his mouth.
I lay there trying to catch my breath. I pushed my hair out of my face and struggled to sit up. “What was that?”
“Now, that's what I call an appetizer. Ready for dinner?”
