Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 219

Chapter 219

Looking at the time, it was already half- past five. "What's wrong with her? Haven't I already explained it to her? Why are we visiting Grandma? Why did she choose this time to visit her?” Frederick thought.

While packing things, Frederick tried to call Danica again. "Sorry, the number you have dialed is currently unavailable. Please try again later..."

After making two calls in a row, no one answered. Frederick looked back at Danica's message and found out that it was sent an hour ago.

Could it be that she was already on her way?

Suddenly, Frederick started to feel anxious, his brows snapping together. "What is she thinking? Grandma will only get pissed when she sees her!" Frederick thought.

Just before he was about to head out, the landline on the table rang again. He had no choice but to take care of the incoming job.

After the slight delay, it was already twenty minutes later when he ended the call.

Just when Frederick was about to make another call to Danica, she called him first. He immediately answered her call.

"Don't you dare go!" Frederick said in an anxious tone.

"You tried calling me just to inform me this?"

Frederick could feel her pain from her soft voice. At first, he was shocked but moments later, he softened his voice. "Danica, it's getting late now. I thought I have made it clear with you."

Apparently, Frederick was implying to Danica not to visit Mrs. Clements!

After all, it was his grandma that Danica was seeing. Danica's current identity would cause awkwardness for sure. Plus, Frederick was afraid that his words would be too hurtful. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

"Why are you doing this to me, Frederick? You promised me to visit Grandma together."

From Danica's voice, he could hear that she was about to cry.

He closed his eyes before he started to speak.

"Danica, I'm sorry. I didn't know what I wanted before this. I thought I still had feelings for you..." But that was already six years ago!

However, after so many years, things have changed. Just like getting old, it was inevitable.

"Stop! I know I'm getting uglier. I know that you don't like me anymore. I also know that you have found a new lover! I know that you don't want me anymore!"

Danica's thrilling voice buzzed Frederick's eardrum but he refused to explain or defend himself. He hoped that Danica could accept the reality that their path had already parted ways, no matter what the reason was.

"Why... why are you abandoning me too?" Danica asked.

Frederick felt guilty listening to all of her grouches. Even so, he knew that it was only a matter of time for him to choose between her and Alicia.

Frederick didn't speak. He was waiting for Danica to stop whining. Moments later, she stopped. Instead of an agitated voice, she started to talk in a soft manner.

"I know that we've been apart for a while now and you might have gotten used to living without me. But, you are just lost! Just like before, now you just don't know what you want anymore. Don't worry, I'm not mad at you, I will wait for you. Eventually, you'll understand that my feelings for you are real. Soon, you'll know that I am the one you love more..."

Danica knew Frederick well. Even though he always seemed indifferent and unemotional, he cared most about the people around him. He was more sentimental than anyone could be. After spending so many years with him, Danica always felt that she had a place in his heart and she was irreplaceable even though it had been six years.

Danica firmly believed Alicia was only a temporary replacement for her spot. Now that Danica was back, she would take back her place. Sooner or later, Frederick would understand that!

Hearing Danica's words, Frederick sighed.

"Danica, it's over. You know that I won't tell you this when I'm confused, nor will I give you any promises. But, I'm sure of what I want now. I've thought about this thoroughly and this decision is certain! Time has changed and memories are just memories now, just like Casterwich City that you're so familiar with. Did you not realize the different changes each time you came back? We've changed as well. If we were still together, do you think you would still feel the same as before? I'm not who I was six years ago and so are you. For six years, did you not live well without me? Please don't waste your youth on me. I'm married now and I never thought of leaving Alicia! You claim to know me best. Hence, you should know what I'm trying to say, right?" Frederick explained carefully.

As long as their marriage still existed, it was absolutely impossible for Frederick to cheat on Alicia. His family would always come first in his heart and Danica's spot would always be disposable.

Danica was choked by her own tears. She shook her head while biting her lip. She just couldn't accept the fact. "No, I don't want to hear it! You are just being enchanted by that b*tch now. She has controlled you!"

"Watch your tongue, Danica!"

Frederick didn't like the way Danica described Alicia. He even had a minor headache. Women, indeed they were the most troublesome! But still, Danica had a place in his heart.

"I can't even talk bad about her? What's so good about her? You said you're not seduced! When we're together, you wouldn't even scold me no matter what I did." But currently, Frederick was so protective about Alicia!

"Danica..."

Danica's fists clenched a few times. She took a few deep breaths and suddenly realized that she was getting a little out of hand. She quickly adjusted her emotions and steadied her tone.

"I'm at the door now. I haven't seen Grandma since I came back! No turning back now. Plus, Grandma used to adore me dearly. I should visit her for that sake, right?"

Who did Alicia think she was? Back then, Danica was more favored and pampered by Frederick! Danica was upset at the thought of this.

If she could be abandoned, so could Alicia! What was she anxious about? After all, they had been separated for six years and it was normal for Frederick to choose Alicia over Danica. If his heart could change for Alicia, there would always be a possibility for his heart to change for her.

"Calm down, Danica... Don't argue with him now. It would only annoy him!" Danica comforted herself.

No one knew Frederick better than Danica. To Danica, it was just marriage. Frederick also admitted that he was lost in the beginning. She still had a chance to win his heart back!

At this moment, she can't afford to mess up her own plan!

Besides, they had not even held the wedding yet. How many people knew that Alicia was married to Frederick? Even for Frederick, only a few of his friends knew about Alicia. Unlike Alicia, Danica was quite well-known in Frederick's social circle!

All the situations were favorable to Danica!

At present, the key to winning his heart was to establish a good relationship with the people in his social circle. Maybe Frederick would change his mind then!

With all her plans in mind, Danica wiped the tears off her eyes and put on a smile. "Grandma will be happy to see me! She used to love me before..."

Listening to her words, Frederick sighed. He was speechless. That was the old times!

Six years ago, all Frederick's friends and family praised her. But at present, everyone around him knew that she had returned, yet no one was willing to tell him the truth. He was the last one to know!

Frederick really didn't want to ruin her fantasy. Mrs. Clements liked Alicia because she was kind to Frederick. Hence, Mrs. Clements had already treated Alicia as her granddaughter-in-law!

In these few years, Mrs. Clements urged Frederick to find his true love. She even got angry at him several times for such a matter. How could Mrs. Clements still treat Danica the same as before?

The more he said, the more Frederick felt that he was actually making things complicated. "Never mind, wait for me at the door! I'll go there and accompany you!"
