Chapter 295
In the car, the two embraced intimately. Sparks flew as they kissed. If it weren't for the inappropriate location, Frederick would have wanted to engulf her right away.
No matter how passionate he was, he tried to suppress it. He didn't have a fetish for putting on a free show for others out in the open. Hence, no matter how much he couldn't help it, they only kissed. Even the movements of his hands were clearly restrained. After all, paparazzi were everywhere. They often appear at times like this!
Frederick was particularly selfish when it came to Alicia. He didn't want anyone to see her, not even through a blurry or suspicious video! Frederick then cupped her face and pulled the seat belt over after giving her a peck on the corner of her lips.
In a seductive low voice, he said, "Sit tight. We'll continue at home!"
"Hubby..." Hooking her arms around his neck, Alicia's eyelashes fluttered as she rubbed Frederick's neck lightly in a petulant manner. "What's the matter?”
Seeing her hesitation, Frederick said with bravado, "Say it! I'll grant you anything you want.”
At ance, Alicia put on a smile. "You have to keep your word! I won't report to Soaver International tomorrow then.”
Having heard that, Frederick's face turned gloomy. He said in all seriousness, "Except for this!"
Alicia was so tricky. As expected, he shouldn't let up. She actually took advantage of his confusion and set him up!
Meanwhile, it was Alicia's turn to have her expression changed. The corners of her lips collapsed.
"You didn't keep your word! You just said that you would agree to whatever I want. You clearly have the ability to help me solve this problem but you refused. You are so unreasonable!”
Giving her a sidelong glance, Frederick coldly reiterated, "I said no! This is not negotiable.”
He might have gone soft in the past but after what Jeremy had done earlier on, how was he to feel comfortable leaving her outside? Forget unreasonable. He wouldn't cower even if he had to commit a crime for her!
Did she expect him to do nothing but check on her twenty-four hours a day? Should he just lock her in the house?
What Jeremy was up to was only too evident. He was openly pining for Alicia. Frederick would be in over his head if he relaxed any further. Instantly, Alicia's mouth puckered up. Liar! Liar! Big fat liar!
If she had known, she wouldn't have wasted her feelings.
With her seemingly throwing a tantrum, Frederick's tone then eased up. "Be good. I promise you everything except this, okay?"
At that, Alicia growled gamely, "Then starting today, I'm going to sleep at my mom's house!"
In an instant, Frederick's face darkened again. "Alicia..." She was clearly picking a fight with him.
From his tone of voice, she knew he would disagree with her. Exasperated, Alicia turned her head to the window and ignored him.
Unable to cope with her petty nature, Frederick tidied her shirt that slipped off her shoulders. He stroked her hair helplessly and started the car. Chviously, he could fulfill her wish but he didn't want to!
If he had known, he wouldn't have said it so boldly. Inexplicably, he became unreasonable twice.
Just then, the car started gradually. Frederick felt appeased when he swept a glance at the pretty figure beside him. However, neither of the two noticed a pair of eyes following them...
Just as Jeremy came out, the two of them were just about to get into the car. Because of the distance, position, andangle, he couldn't watch the whole scene. All he saw: was thedtwo kissing passionately and ie part where Alicia ooked out of the window. Jeremy derived a different meaning from ths scene... He thought that Alicia was forced into the relationship! The relationship between the two was not what it appeared to be!
After all, people tend to pretend in front of others. After what Frederick and Alicia did in the car in private, everything seemed more evident to Jeremy.
Walking out slowly, Jeremy's dropped fists balled up and the veins on the backs of his hands were clearly visible. Why? Why did it have to be Frederick?
If it had been someone else from a different city, he might stand a chance.
But, Frederick's power in Casterwich City was not to be underestimated. Hence, Jeremey was clearly on the losing end. Apart from playing the game with all his might, it seemed that all he could do was to wait...
Along the way, Alicia's gaze was directed out of the window. Occasionally when she got tired, she'd turn to the side and sulked.
At the red light, the car gradually came to a stop. Frederick habitually turned his head to look at her.

Since her back was facing Frederick, she was able to use her hands and mouth. She would occasionally pinch her cheeks, tug on her lips or even stick her tongue out like a puppy.
As Frederick looked at the reflection, he was amused and couldn't help but chuckle.
Raising his hand, he then stroked her long, cascading hair. Like stroking a beloved pet, he even stroked according to the wave of her hair.
Unhappy with the touch, Alicia turned back and pushed him away. giving him a hard stare. "Hmph!"
Alicia pouted all the way back home. Even before Frederick stopped the car, she unbuckled her seat belt and jumped out of the car without looking back.
When she got-{o the door and entered the code, she realized she didn't have her keys. On the way out, she didn notice that Frederick had locked the doors. Moreover, only Fredefick's palm print on the~ toushscreen pad could open’ the ofily door to their house. Lontent
She trotted all the way over here and ended up waiting for him at the door. Alicia was annoyed by the thought. Angrily, she raised her foot and kicked the door twice.
"Stupid door! Stupid door!" How dare a stupid door bully her as well!
Frederick was amused. Stepping forward, he wrapped his arm around her waist and planted a kiss on her cheek. As soon as his palm rested on the screen, the clicking sound of the lock activating came from the door.
"Don't be angry. It doesn't matter if the door is broken but if it hurts your feet, I'll be heartbroken.”
While opening the door, Frederick coaxed her. However, Alicia was still fuming with rage. Pursing her lips and not saying anything, she scuffled her way upstairs.
Behind her, Frederick chuckled with joy. What a sweetheart she was. She looked adorable even when angry! How could he possibly not love her? Love?
With such an abrupt word running through his mind, Frederick's pace came to a halt. Standing in the middle of the stairs, his eyes unconsciously looked upwards.
Had he really fallen in love with this woman? There was no doubt that he liked her, but what about love?
