Chapter 310 I Hope You Don’t Regret

Rachel smiled. “My luck is not bad.”

This reason made Lucas laugh.

Landon clearly sensed something, but he chose to pay attention silently.

In the next few rounds, David and Rachel continued to stay out of punishment.

On the other hand, Lucas lost due to a moment of carelessness. © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

Without waiting for everyone to ask any gossipy questions, Lucas picked up the wine beside him and gulped it down.

Rachel glanced at Lucas. Then, she looked at David beside her and leaned over to whisper in his ear, “I’m going to the washroom.”

“I’ll accompany you.” David was about to get up.

Rachel quickly pressed his hand down. “It’s okay. I can go myself.”

She stood up and walked out. She glared at Lucas deeply before quietly looking away.

Rachel walked to the sink and turned on the tap.

“Rachel Grey?” A familiar voice sounded.

Rachel turned around and saw Katy standing at the entrance of the

washroom.

“What a coincidence,” Rachel said.

Katy sneered and said disdainfully, “You make it sound like we’re really close

to each other.”

Faced with her cold attitude, Rachel did not take it to heart. She pulled out a piece of tissue and wiped her fingers before walking out of the washroom without looking back.

“I haven’t finished speaking!” Katy exclaimed as she blocked Rachel in a flash.

Rachel looked up at her with a faint smile. “Miss Page, do you have any other

instructions for me?”

Katy said coldly, “If you know what’s good for you, stay away from my aunt! At the end of the day, you’re just an outsider. Do you really think that you’re a

princess who’s loved by all?”

Her words were filled with mockery and disdain.

The Johnson family hid Rachel’s background so well that no one could find out anything.

However, Rachel’s last name was undoubtedly telling everyone that even though she was doted on by thousands of people, she was still a

granddaughter with a different last name!

Rachel’s gentle gaze turned cold inch by inch, and her eyes were filled with a vague hostility. “Despite being an outsider, I received everyone’s care and concern. Aunt Eleanor even took the initiative to ask

to stay with me at the charity auction banquet on the cruise ship and refused to stay with you. Shouldn’t you be reflecting and trying to find the reason yourself, Miss Page?”

In other words, Rachel was saying that it was Katy’s fault that everyone preferred her to the latter.

Ever since Rachel came to the Johnson family, her aunt, Eleanor, no longer cared about her existence. All she cared about was Rachel.

All these years, she had tried her best to please her aunt, hoping to take back

her love.

However, no matter what she did, not only did she not get any affection, but she was instead, hated by her aunt.

An example would be the result of her aunt’s birthday celebration in the Johnson family’s residence the other day.

Rachel’s words were like a dagger that pierced Katy’s heart. She felt hot–headed and raised her hand to slap Rachel’s face ruthlessly.

Her palm cut through the air and attacked Rachel’s face with menace.

At the critical moment, Rachel grabbed her wrist.

Katy was stunned. She stared at Rachel in disbelief.

She subconsciously tried to pull her wrist out, only to realize that Rachel was holding her wrist tightly. Hence, she could not break free at all.

“Rachel, what are you trying to do? Do you want to hit me? Let go of me! Do

you hear me?” Katy hollered as she glared at Rachel angrily.

Rachel smiled and said, “I hope you won’t regret it.”
