Chapter 104
Chapter 104
Luca’s POV
“Holy shit.” I heard James whisper beside me and I snorted a little, still not allowing my eyes to slide
open, even though I heard him curse a little louder after a few more seconds. I felt him nudge my
shoulder but hesitated for a few seconds before finally sitting up and blinking my eyes open to stare at
him.
“What’s up?” I drawled out to him and watched as he turned around to face me, an awed facial
expression coloring every corner of his face as a laugh played at the corner of his mouth. He raised my
phone up to place more emphasis on what he was about to say before he finally started to speak
“What the fuck, man?!” He whispered while still appearing completely blown away and I couldn’t help
tne snort that slipped out of my lips as soon as his words, which he had exclaimed, left his lips.
“You believe me now?” I demanded with raised eyebrows and narrowed eyes and watched as he
shook his head a reached up to drag his palm over his face for a few seconds, his messed up knuckles
staring me in the face for a few seconds before he finally pulled his hand away to stare at me once
again, the awed look still extremely visible in his eyes.
“What the actual fuck man? This is so insane, like the fuck? How are you getting so many
notifications??” He demanded and I allowed the shoulder which was closest to his own shoulder to lift
up in a small shrug.
“I don’t know, man. All I know is that it’s always a whole damn lot, and it never reduces, the damn thing
only gets multiplied.” I said to him and watched ax he glanced up from the phone to stare into my face
disbelieving for a few seconds before dragging his eyes off my face to focus it on the phone which was
in his hands.
“Man, I had no idea they were this much to be very honest, there’s no way you can be able to handle
all these on your own, seeing how busy you are and almost never have enough time for yourself to
begin with.” James started to say after a few seconds and I nodded my head as soon as his words
sank down into my head, and all what he had said was completely right – it was so hard for me to be
able to handle the whole thing, it had even been more manageable when I had just started to get
popular, but compared to now? It was way too much, and was only multiplying as the days went by.
“Jesus fucking Christ, how the hell do you have this amount of unread messages, Luca?” I heard
James start to ask and I shrugged my shoulders at him once again, watching as he clicked in my email
icon and got into my mailbox, right before he glanced up at me until he was staring into my eyes.
“You don’t check your mails, do you?” He demanded and I pursed my lips at him before starting to
speak. “I will check them.”
He didn’t look like he believed me and I decided to continue after about a moment. “I did check them
before, I always made sure to go through them at least once a week, and then I’d check the ones that
appeared to be the most important out of the whole amount of emails, and that was that.” I paused and
puffed out a breath before continuing, absentmindedly starting to draw weird lines on the top of my suit
pants.
“But then I stopped at a certain point because the email just seemed to be multiplying, more and more
every damn day, and it was all overwhelming me at one point, and I barely got time to do a thing on the
phone, apart from my text messages, and that was that.” I continued, puffing out a small breath and
feeling my chest expand with how my chest was moving in motion to the way the breath was moving in
and out of my lungs.
“But Luca, do you know the amount of business proposals I have seen in here, and I haven’t even
scrolled down that much.” James started to say after a few moments, still sounding genuinely awed as
he glanced up from the phone to stare at me.
“I do, I saw a few the last time I went through it, I had already planned to give the mail address over to
my secretaries to start handling, and then I’d just go ahead and create another ending once again, the
way I did to my last two previous emails.” I said to James who was currently still staring at the phone
but I knew he was listening to every word that I was saying, because he was slowly nodding his head.
“Holy shit, man. Did you see this mail? This is from one of the shares company in company which I had
been planning to send an invite and proposal to in a few weeks time, man what the fuck?” James
breathed out as he turned his head around to stare up at me, a awed smile playing across his face.
“That’s insane,” I breathed out and watched as he nodded his head at me before starting to speak once
again. “How do these companies and people get your mail address after all? This is crazy, everything
in here is so damn crazy, the amount of things I have seen in here is so damn awesome and cool.”
James started to say after a few seconds, smiling at me in a really awed way and I knew this was all
making him excited.
This was one of the reasons why James was such an amazing right hand man to me, he was literally
the best. The way he always made sure to put the company's best interest at heart and was always so
enthusiastic when it comes to securing mor deals with bigger companies like it was his company and
not mine.
Someone who didn’t know so much about us might have automatically assumed that James was being
all amazed and blown away because it was his own company, not knowing that it wasn’t even in his
name.
Although, he does have a lot of shares among my companies, because he was so efficient and
deserved to have huge shares in his name, the way I do.
“Man, there are a lot of clothing brands here, who are asking you to model for them for a huge amount
of money, and more companies and brands who want you to be their ambassadors.” James breathedNôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
out with an amused laugh and I let out a small snort.
“Ignore those,” I said to him and watched as he nodded his head before staring up for the phone which
his fingers were currently moving on, in a really fast pace
“Oh, I know.” James replied almost immediately before continuing after a moment. “I get a lot of those
as well, if only they knew about the whole mafia thing, most of them would turn around immediately,
because a lot of these companies are not originated here in Italy and automatically wouldn’t under dry
the whole mafia thing.” James continued and I couldn’t agree more with all what he had said just now.
I’ve been getting those kinds of proposals a whole lot, but most of the time I don't look too much into it,
because it was all pointless since I wasn’t going to ever be modeling for them.
Not because I don’t model, but because it wasn’t safe and could backfire back on me, coupled with the
fact that I’d just be literally putting myself and my whole mafia thing out in the open for anyone to come
across. Which is why no one here in the mafia business involves themselves in anything relating to
modeling brands and the likes, for these stated reasons, and a lot more reasons.
It wasn’t regular for people involved in the mafia business to get involved in any kind or social media,
but I was a lot popular on social media, partly because I was hot, because I was always on the news
and on the papers, and a lot more other reasons.
The main reasons as to why I had continued to grow my account after creating it, a few years ago– it
was mainly because I had already decided with myself after I became a mafia lord, that I wasn’t going
to follow in my father’s footsteps and would do things differently.
And so I had gone into shares immediately instead of dealing with different kinds of drugs and other
illegal things like other mafias, and I needed to be popular socially in order to be able to go as far as
possible on different social media platforms all at once, and that was the beginning of the whole thing.
When I had decided to start the whole thing, I never saw myself getting this popular in any way, but
now, I was so popular, it was getting way too much than I can handle.
