Chapter 189
Chapter 189
Luca’s POV
“You’re good with children really well, she adores you so much.” Sofia started to say, referring to the
child whom I had interacted with a little, moments ago.
“I am?” I asked and watched as she nodded a little just as I pulled her against me.
I turned the thought around in my head a little, just as the elevator doors slid open to reveal two
technicians.
The guys who were dressed in work clothes and were carrying technicians' tools in their hands jolted
for a moment before shuffling out of the elevator after a moment.
“Uh, we’re so sorry about the delay with the elevator, sir.” The first man said after a moment and I
turned my head around to stare at the elevator that had now slide close, before turning my head back
around to stare at the technicians.
“What happened to it?” I asked after a moment.
Some wires got burned and so it got stuck, but now it’s all good. It never happens this way so this was
really unexpected and has now been sorted out.” The man continued and I nodded my head once at
him, before leading Sofia into the elevator and watching as the doors slid closed after a few seconds.
The inside of the elevator was just like I remembered, with the walls completely mirrors and really
spacious. Despite how spacious it is, I didn’t release my hold on Sofia’s waist one bit, and I was sure
she didn’t mind, because she was pressing herself into my side even more.
“Have you met that little girl before?” Sofia started to speak after a few moments and I knew who she
was automatically referring to. I nodded my head once while staring at the mirror before us where we
were both staring into and using in watching each other.
“I have.” I paused. And because I knew this piece of information was going to fascinate her, I decided
to continue almost immediately. “I rode the elevator with those thing girls and their mother on the day I
visited you at the hospital.”
She pulled her hand away from my side to stare up at me almost immediately, and I stared down at her
knowingly.
“On the day I fell off the bed and had to go to the hospital?” She asked in a small voice after a moment
and I nodded my head at her, as I lifted up my other hand and used it to push her hair out of her face,
before continuing.
“Yes, bunny. That particular day. You were such a clumsy little thing.”
Her face colored red in embarrassment. “Not anymore.” She mumbled after a few moments and I
breathed out a small chuckle before nodding my head at her. We were almost on the highest floor of
the whole building. It was the part of the restaurant which I had made a reservation for. I haven’t even
been on that part of the building yet. When I had come over here to have lunch, it had been because of
a business discussion and we had used one of the middle floors. But tonight, I had gone into their
profile and looked through their accounts, checking out every floor and finally settling on the highest
floor of the restaurant.
The elevator finally stopped on the floor we were going to, and so as soon as the doors slid open, I
moved my hand off Sofia’s hips and held it out to her. She grinned up at me before slipping her hand
into mine, and I tightened my hold on her hand for a moment, locking eyes with her for a fleeting
second, before starting to tug her out of the elevator, directly over to where our date was officially
holding on.
“Oh my god.” She whispered in a low voice as her eyes swept over the ground at first, before lifting up
to settle on the art which was this whole place. I felt her start to move away from me, and so I loosened
my hold on her hand and watched as she walked forward, directly over to where our table was placed.
Because I wanted tonight to be as special as ever, since it was our first date and all, I had decided to
rent out this whole floor for tonight, and it had cost a whole lot, but I hadn’t minded one bit. I made my
way deeper into the place, slowly trailing after Sofia and enjoying how amazed and shocked and
surprised she was being at the moment.
The table was arranged in a romantic setting and I had successfully managed to convince myself that I
didn’t really care about romance and had only asked the restaurant to arrange it in a really romantic
setting because of Sofia. Sofia turned around after a few moments and walked back towards me,
directly into me, and I wrapped my hands around her in the next second.
She squeezed on my biceps a little before starting to speak, “This is so romantic.” She whispered in a
low voice that wobbled a little. I breathed out a small chuckle as I leaned down and pressed my lips
agdinst her forward before starting to speak as soon as I had pulled away a little from her forehead.
“I’m glad you like it.” I said to her, and I meant every damn word.
“You’re so thoughtful,” She continued after a moment, and I heard the stuttered crack in her voice
almost immediately. My heart started to warm up and pulse almost immediately, and I loosened one
hand from around her to use in wrapping around her chin to jerk her face upwards a little until she was
fully staring up at me.
“Hey now, don’t cry, alright?” I whispered to her and watched as she sniffed a little and nodded her
head, blinking her eyes a few times in order to make the incoming tears go away.
“This must have cost a whole lot.” She started to muse low and awed as she pulled out of my arms and
started to turn around once again, staring up into the open sky as well as the pool on the far end of this
open roof. I chuckled at that without bothering to say a thing in reply.
“Where are the others? Didn’t this place supposed to have other tables here with people having dinner
in them.” Sofia asked after a few moments as she turned back around to stare at me. I gave a shake of
my head ax I steered to close the small distance between us.
“We’re the only ones who get to use this particular floor tonight.” I said to her as soon as I had stopped
beside her.
“Really?” She asked, eyes blown out wide and surprised and I gave a nod of my head as I reached
down and took her hand in mine.
“Yes, bunny. I rented the whole floor out for tonight.”
“Wow…” She gasped out quietly before staring up at me and continuing. “That must have been like
really cost and…” She started to talk about the price and I pressed my thumb agdinst her lips before
she could finish her sentence, automatically cutting her off.
“Don’t think about the price and about how much it might cost, alright?” I said to her and watched as
she blinked up at me for a fleeting moment, before nodding her head once, and then I tugged my hand
away, right after I had brushed my thumb against the plumpness of her lower lip.
“That’s a good bunny.” I said after a moment and watched as she ducked her head almost immediately,
but not before blinding scarlet.
“Let’s head over to the table, hm?” I asked and watched as her eyes darted around to land on the
arranged table, and then she nodded her head really enthusiastically. I chuckled a little at her
excitement as I led the way towards the table, heading over to her side of her table with her and pulling
her chair out for her.
She smiled up at me with a little bit of color on her face after she was sitting in her seat, I returned the
small smile with one of mine, and then I was making my way around the table, over to sink into my own
chair.
“This place is so beautiful.” Sofia whispered almost immediately I had sat down and I glanced around in
that particular moment before strutting to nod my head, sbe was indeed right, it really was beautiful.
“It really is.” I agreed with her immediately, and because I couldn’t help it, I added. “But not as beautiful Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
as you are.”
She blushed beautifully and ducked her head instantly, which made me breath out a small laugh.
The theme I had requested for had been a really romantic one which had cost me way more than I was
supposed to pay. There were like a thousand candles arranged around this table, and because it was
on the roof and the cold evening breeze was blowing around, they had made use of candles which
were going to be covered by something like a transparent cup, to shield the flickering flames from the
out slaught of the wind. There were a couple of candles placed on our table as well, and the flickering
flames caught Sofia's eyes really well, making the blue of her eyes gleam even more beautifully. It
brightened up her face in a really ethereal way, and I wanted to do nothing more at that very moment,
than to push out from my seat and walk towards her to take her lips in a deep kiss.
