Betrothed To The Mafia Lord

Chapter 192

Chapter 192

Luca’s POV

“I could tell immediately, bunny.” I said to her after a moment, and after I had shoved my hand beneath

the table to stubbly adjust my hardon on my pants to a more comfortable position.

“What kind of drink do you like though?” She asked after some seconds. I lifted my hand and dragged

my fingers through my hair for a few seconds before locking eyes with her and lifting the side of my lips

a little before starting to speak.

“I love the drink I’d get to suck off your nipples.” I said to her and watched as her lips fell open instantly,

with color flooding her face in the next second. I chucked a little when she lifted her hand and used it to

cover her face the next moment.

“Are you up for dinner yet?” I asked after a couple of seconds and watched as she nodded her head

almost immediately, she had already gotten over her embarrassment at this very moment, so her hand

wasn’t over her face anymore.

“Would I get to have more of that wine when dinner arrives?” She asked after I was done demanding

for the waiter to arrive back to the roof.

“Yes, bunny. But that’s going to be limited, because I want you to get food into your stomach, and I

meant actual food, and not some wine.” I said to her and watched as she pouted a little, before starting

to nod her head slowly.

“Would you order a drink you love then, in order to be able to have it with your meal?” She asked and I

shook my head in response.

“I guess I’d have to make do with this one. Also, I don’t think I’d really enjoy my kind of drink if it’s not

off your nipples.” I said to her, knowing the last part of my sentence was going to get her flustered

instantly.

“Stop saying things like that.” She protested in a weak voice after a few moments and I only winked at

her because at that moment, the elevator door had open to reveal two waiters. The table got cleared off

instantly and the rest of the wine, they were going to bring a fresh order for the actual dinner, along with

a new bottle of drink.

Once the waiters were gone, we've both fallen into a calm and comfortable water of silence. Sofia was

staring around the whole place, her eyes lingering on the pool once again. I was going to arrange for

our next date to be scheduled in a pool, because it seems like she really wanted to get to feel some

pool water against her skin… too bad she wasn’t into skinny dipping.

“You really like this place, don’t you?” I asked after a moment and watched as she nodded her head in

response without averting her gaze from the calm pool.

“Yeah, I do. It’s really beautiful and perfect. Thank you for bringing me here tonight.” Sbe started to say

as soon as she had turned around on her seat to stare at me. I smiled at her warmly for about a

minute.

“I’m glad you really like it this way, thank you for agreeing to come with me.” I said to her in response

and watched as a small, cute and shy smile bloomed on her face the next moment. The glint in her

eyes was back once again and I was really glad about that. Although, I’d really like to know the reason

behind why she had lost that grint from her eyes and turned gloomy in a fleeting second, some time

ago.

I leaned forward in my seat and started to speak. “What’s with you and books?” I breathed out and

watched as she glanced up at me almost immediately. She blinked a couple of times before lifting her

hand up to push her hair out of her face.

“Um, I… nothing?” She said in the next second with shrugged shoulders, and I didn’t buy that response

for a second.

“I believe you can do better than that if you want me to buy that response for a few seconds at least.” I

drawled out and watched as she blinked up at me for a few seconds, before huffing out a small breath.

“I don’t know what to say.” She admitted after a few moments. I reached forward and pushed her hair

out of her face for a moment before leaning back into my seat, before starting to speak once again.

“You can start by telling me the actual truth, the one that’s on your mind.” I said to her slowly, voice

careful and cajoling a little.

“I um…” She started to say after a minute before trailing off, biting on her lower lips a little.

“Go on, what is it?” I pressed softly, wanting her to tsk it out in order for it to be pushed out or the way

after it has been sorted out and talked about.

“It’s just silly, I swear.” She tried dismissing me but I wasn’t having any of that.

“I want to hear the silly thing. I think silly is really cute.” I explained to her after a moment.

“Really?” She whispered, worrying her teeth over her lips. I nodded my head a few times.

“Yes, and adorable.”

“I’m not adorable at the moment though.” She mumbled out after a few seconds and I laughed a little at

that before nodding my head once.

“Of course, bunny. You’re hot at the moment.” I said to her, and she blushed a little at that.

“So, would you tell me about the silly thing now?” I asked after a few minutes. She hesitated for a few

seconds before nodding her head a few times.

“Well, it’s my books.” She whispered after a few moments, finally admitting it in a small voice. She

wouldn’t meet my eyes and was staring pointedly at one of the candles on the table.

“What about them?” I asked softly and watched as she pouted a little.

“Well, I don’t have them with me anymore.” She said after a few moments. That was pretty obvious at

the moment, I didn’t point that out to her and instead decided to use a different route.

“Why don’t you have them with you anymore… something happened?” I asked after a few moments. Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

“My father.” She stated, it was as if I was supposed to have understood all what she meant that that

two worded reply. I was a very patient person though, and so I just reached forward and brushed her

hair away from her face a little, watching her eyelashes fan against her cheeks.

“He took them away from you?” I asked when she lifted up her face to stare up at me. She started to

shake her head almost immediately.

“No, it’s not just that.” She paused and huffed out a small breath before shifting in her seat a little.

“I packed my books in a bag because I was really in love with them and wanted to take them with me

over to your house, but my father forbade me from doing so.” She explained and I blinked once in

confusion, trying to understand why he’d have done such a thing.

“Why did he forbid you?” I inquired.

“Um, he said it was because I was getting married and going to start a family with you, and that I was

going to be getting more mature once I get married to you. He said me going to your house with my

book was going to seem like I wasn’t mature enough because he felt books were childish and for

kids…” She trailed off after some time and I felt my anger start to pulse in my body after a few

moments.

“Why the fuck would he say that?” I demanded after a few moments, feeling angry on her behalf. What

kind of beliefs filled up his head for him to believe that books were only for kids and a sigh of

immaturity.

“I don’t know.” She whispered after a moment and shrugged her shoulders in a way I find really

dejecting.

“I’m going to take care of it, alright?” I said to her as I reached out and touched her cheeks lightly with

my fingers. She nodded her head at me after a few moments, worrying her teeth over her lower lip

once again.

“Okay.” She whispered in response. I moved my thumb over to her lip and tugged it out for the light grip

her teeth had on it. “It’s going to be ok.” I continued, just as the elevator doors started to slide open,

and in the next second, the wind was carrying over the scent of the food we ordered for dinner.

We were done with eating after some time and it didn’t take long for the table to be cleared. We had a

little bit of desert as well, and I could barely concentrate on mine because all I was focused on

throughout was to suck some of the chocolate off her plump lips so badly.

I led her towards the pool after we'd rested from the meal and dessert, and we both stood by the edge,

staring into the blue water silently and watching as the reflection of the moon gleaned on the face of the

pool.

I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her against me, and then I lowered my hand and

squeezed her asscheek. She trembled against my body a little, her hands squeezing on my suit jacket

in an instant.

“Bunny… let’s go home.”
