“Bunny?” I called out and watched as she glanced up at me instantly, blinking up at me.

“James is going to be coming over to the house tonight.” I informed her because I wanted her to know

beforehand, to avoid her being taken off guard when she’d set her eyes on him – and also because I

wanted her to be comfortable with it.

“Oh, he is?” She asked after a fleeting second and I nodded my head a little.

“Uh, that’s great. Is he coming with someone else?” She asked after a fleeting moment and I started to

shake my head in response. “No, bunny. He’s going to come straight from the office.”

“Is it a meeting between the both of you?” She asked as she kept on peering up at me curiously and I

gave a slow nod of my head.

“Yes, bunny. It’s like a meeting, I have something important to discuss with him, and then he’d be

staying back for dinner once we’d be done with the whole work related thing.

“Ohhh.” She murmured slowly and I nodded once before hastily pushing myself to my feet, just as Sofia

was already starting to sit up. I held my hand out to her and she placed her hand in it, allowing me to

tug her up. It was already starting to get really later than I had planned we’d spend outside here, which

is why we’d have to head back to the house right now – at least, even if we wanted to lie directly

beneath the stars, then we were going to have to do it from our balcony.

Another reason as to why we were heading back home was because of James who was going to be

here anytime soon. I didn’t want to keep him waiting one but because I was getting pretty restless each

thing anything relating to Armsbi makes it’s way into my head.

“You’d carry it back home for me, right?” Sofia started to say beside me and I started to nod my head

as soon as I realized what she meant and what she was referring to.

“Of course, bunny.” I said to her as I reached for her leg and picked the teddy which was positioned

beside her feet, holding it up with one hand as I took her hand in mine and started to make my way

back through the road we came from.

I couldn’t deny the fact that I was a little bit troubled, and the reason being my brother, Armani and my

wife, Sofia. I knew that I hadn't told her a thing about him, which is completely unfair to her because

she tells me a whole lot of things about herself, and her family, and I knew damn well that I do not do

the same, when I was actually supposed to. The only thing I was able to tell her about him was that he

was alive, and that was it.

But then, back then, I wasn’t really sure or a thing about him, which was why the words got stock in my

head and I decided to distract her from asking me one questions by touching her body in that particular

spot.

But now, I don’t really think I have that much of an escude because now I was a lot sure that he was

doing perfectly alright. I just know that I might not have been thus bothered and disturbed about the

whole thing if it wasn’t for the fact that he was going to be coming back home really soon. I couldn’t ask

him to stay back there because I still needed to tell my wife about him, before he’d show his face here

– because it doesn’t even sound right to me to begin with, coupled with the fact that I have genuinely

missed him so much.

I pulled out a deep breath and puffed it out slowly, strengthening my hold on her small fingers in the

next second. Sofia was everything I never envisioned when I was contemplating taking a wife before

remembering that I already have a girl that was promised to me ever since she was little. Come to think

of it, I was just realizing that I haven’t told Sofia about my father yet, about our lives growing up and

those kinds of stuff, when she tells me a whole lot of them.

I wish I could tell her, or I wish it was going to be really easy to just come out and say it to her, but then

it wasn’t. If it was someone else, I was a lot sure that I wouldn’t even be bothered for a second about

how he’s feeling, but then this right here, walking along with me and holding my fingers tightly in her

small hand, wasn’t just anybody.

She was Sofia, the one I was married to, the one I cared for, the one who I was starting to… love?

I blinked once as soon as those thoughts started to sink into my head and in the next moment, I was

seriously wishing there wasn’t any kind of teddy bear in my other hand, just so I could use it to tug on

my hair– it was that one bad habits of mine, despite how much I’ve tried to fight against it a couple of

times.

A lot of thoughts were dancing around in my head at once and it was getting super hard for me to focus

on one thing in particular at that particular moment. The wind started to blow really strongly and I

quickly turned my head around to stare down at her as I started to speak. “Are you starting to feel

cold?” I asked her after a moment and watched as she shook around in response.

We continued to make our way towards the house and innno time, we were finally reaching our final

destination and I tugged her up on the stairs in the next moment.

We made our way into the house and I pulled the door closed behind her and locked it. I made my way

straight into my office because I remembered that it was where I had previously left my phone in, while

Sofia along with her teddy said she wanted to go read a book upstairs. Because she didn’t eat lunch

this afternoon and I was starting to worry a little after she had informed me about forming a habit of not

eating a lot of lunch, I made sure she got another drink for the day and took it along with her as she

made her way up the stairs.

As soon as I had gotten my phone, I sank into the seat in the office and phoned James almost

immediately. He picked up on the second ring and said he was going to be here in a few minutes' time,

and once the call had ended, I glanced at the top of the phone to check what the time says, it was

currently almost eight p.m in the night. I started to draft something out absentmindedly and reclined

against my seat, here in the office until my phone started to ring, signifying that James was already

here at the moment. I made my way out of the office in the next second and started to head outside,

and I watched as he dramatically drove through the opened gates. He even took his sweet time to turn

his car around in the middle of the spacious compound.

When he started to pack the car and I started to make my way towards him, I noticed that the car was

one which I hadn't seen before.

“New car?” I asked as soon as he stepped out of the car and pushed the door close. He grinned at me

cheekily and held up a bunch of keys at me which he dropped into my outstretched palm, looking smug

as hell, with the smile still plastered wide on his face.

“Yes, it is. It’s a gift.” He responded to me after a few moments, and I blinked up at him with a small

chuckle.

“A gift to yourself, hm? You deserve all the gifts in the world, man.” I said to him in the next second and

watched as he let out a small snort at first before starting to roll his eyes.

“What? No. A gift from myself to myself? No.” It’s a freaking gift from one of my… acquaintances.” He

informed me and I barked out a small laugh the next moment.

“Of course it is, I should have thought of this at first, because if I’m being right then you have a lot of

cars which you bought randomly and not as a gift to yourself, which was why I was a little bit taken

aback at first.” I explained to him as I dropped the bunch of keys into his opened palm and I watched as

he tapped on a button that shut the car automatically in the next second, without taking his eyes off my

face.

“Exactly.” James paused at first before continuing, “and besides? I Think I have something like this, the

version before this one, this particular one is the lost latest label out there.
