Chapter 50
What have I done?
Eve POV
I scoffed, as I stared at the screen of my phone, what the heck does he want now, huh? I rolled my eyes, before sliding the answer button, and put the phone on speaker.
“Hello prince…”
“What’s it please?” I cut him off. What does he want from me? The last time I checked, he never cared about me, he bullied me like I’m some piece of trash, he hated me with passion, I’ve tried getting him to like me, but it turned out everything I ever did, always ended up making things worsen. I know no matter what happens, he still remains my dad, and that fact can never be changed, and I hate that.
“I told you I’m sorry, can you please forgive me?” He said pleadingly, and I scoffed. I don’t think he’s serious, because if he is, he won’t think of saying such thing, telling me to forgive him already.
“Really? You think your sorry is enough to clear everything? You think because you said sorry, I should sweep everything under the carpet, and pretend it never happened in the first place? Never! Not now and not forever.” I snapped at him angrily.
“I know I’m wrong, but can we talk about this properly?” He asked calmly.
“There’s nothing to talk about, so please leave me alone, I’m better off without you.” I rolled my eyes, and I heard him sigh. My door suddenly burst open, and I gasped, as I watched Ivan walked inside, what the heck is he doing here?
“What the heck are you doing here, huh? Don’t you know how to knock?” I yelled at him, as my eyes widened in shock.
“Are you ok princess? Is anyone trying to hurt you?” Dad asked, and I scoffed. Why’s he acting like he cares?
“Sorry, but I don’t do that shit.” He winked at me, and came to sit beside me. What is he trying to do now, huh?
“Can you leave me alone please? I don’t need your care.” I snapped at dad, while glaring at the annoying bastard in front of me.
“Your friend told me you have a boyfriend, she sent a picture of you two, my daughter really have a taste, he’s handsome.” He chuckled, and I was forced to look at Ivan, who had a smile on his face. He must be happy that he’s said to be handsome now.
“Nina is just spouting nonsense…, I don’t have a boyfriend, bye.” I said, and ended the call, before turning my full attention to the idiot, sitting beside me, while having a smirk on his face.
“Is this how you broke into girls’ house with their permission, huh? I wonder how your sister is coping with you at home, I just pray you don’t break into her room one day, thinking that she’s one of your bitches.” I smirked at him, but he kept staring at me, with his legs crossed, as his chin rested on his palm. What the heck!
“And who says you’re a woman, huh? Not to worry, I see you as a fellow man, I mean, look at you, you’re no different from a guy, you have a flat chest and a flat back, so nothing will attract anyone to you.” He chuckled, and I bit my bottom lip angrily, as tears welled up my eyes. Why does he find fun in bullying me? Why does he always enjoys body shaming me? Is it my fault that I don’t look feminine?
“Wait! Don’t tell me you want to cry? Oh come on, this is reality, not that I’m insulting you, OK?” He rolled his eyes.
“Get out!” I said, while staring into space.
“Why should I?” He shrugged.
“Don’t make me lose it Ivan, get the heck out of my house, before I do something nasty to you, just go please.” I said, as I finally let my tears found their way out of my eyes. As much as I don’t want to be affected by whatever he says, hearing that from him, hurts a lot.
He stared back at me blankly for seconds, before he finally sighed.
“Alright fine! You just talked to your dad like he’s some piece if trash, I shouldn’t expect less.” He scoffed, and stood up, before heading to the door. How dare he talk to me like that?
“Don’t you dare judge me, if you know nothing about me, you ingrate!” I snapped at him, and he stopped in his track.
“He is still your dad…”
“You don’t have one, so how will I expect you to understand.” I yelled, even before I could stopped myself from saying. Slowly, he turned to face me, with so much pains in his eyes. Gosh! Just what the heck have I done now? I shouldn’t have said that.NôvelDrama.Org content.
“You’re right…, I don’t have one, not even a mom…, I don’t know how it really feels, but one thing I always wish, is that they were here for me, even if they get on my nerves all day.” He said, as tears welled up in his eyes. God! Why did I say that?
“Excuse me.” He sniffed, and with that, he pulled the door open, and stormed out of my apartment.
“Shit!” I cursed under my breath, as I ruffled my hair crazily. What have I done now? I never meant to hurt him with my words, why the heck didn’t I stopped myself?…
Ivan POV
Storming out of her apartment, I finally let my tears dropped from my eyes. No one have ever said that to me, it hurts.
I wiped off the tears from my eyes, before walking back to my apartment, and once I stepped in, I walked straight to my room. Stepping into my room, I gulped down the lump in my throat, and raised my gaze to the picture of mom and dad, hanging on the wall, and I just couldn’t help the tears that kept pouring out of my eyes.
My mind drifted to the memories we shared together, I wish they never left us, for these past years, I’ve been acting strong, because of my sister, I thought I could get over it forever, but the empty space, which they left in my life, can never be filled again, I miss them, everything about them, their smiles, how they used to scold us, mom’s food, everything. I wish I can turn back the hands of time, I wish I can see them again.
I fell on my knees, and leaned against the bed, as I let my tears delivered to the world, the pains I was feeling inside, for it was the only thing that could tell how much my heart was bleeding.
Seconds slowly ticked into minutes, and before I knew it, hours already passed, and it was late already. The knock on my door, jolted me back to reality, and I wiped the tears off my eyes, which were now red and puffy.
“You’ve been indoor for hours now, aren’t you gonna come out? Nora is back.” Nathan’s voice sounded from outside.
“I’ll be there in a few minutes.” I said, and I heard footsteps, which means he already left.
Standing up on my feet, I dragged my feet into the bathroom, and washed my face, but it was still obvious that I cried. I left my room afterwards.
Descending down the stairs, I walked straight into the living room, but stopped on my track, at who I saw…
