CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 762

They were in the vast expanse of the desert, with no end in sight. The driver planned to go for help, but it was unclear how long that would take. Camels were the best means of transport in the desert.

Nina had an idea, but before she could voice it, Moana suddenly waved and called out, her child mimicking her actions.

July said, "She's calling for them."

Nina remained silent, watching as a group of people on camels approached them. Moana gestured and pointed at Nina, and she could feel their scrutinizing gaze turn into suspicion.

After negotiating with them for a couple of minutes, Moana ran back to Nina, excitedly saying a lot. July translated, "Miss Nina, she says these people are from her tribe. We can ride the camels to leave the desert."

"Good," Nina agreed. She wanted to leave the desert and find a place to stay before continuing to Yaren.

The driver, overhearing the conversation, said, "The car breaking down isn't my fault, but if you leave on the camels, I won't refund your deposit."

Scarlett waved dismissively, indicating they didn't care about the deposit.

The group provided two camels. Scarlett and Nina shared one, while July rode with Moana, and Moana's child rode with one of the

men.

These people had dark skin and faces painted with colorful clay, giving them a tribal appearance. They rode in silence, the scorching sand beneath them glowing red in the sunlight, the heat stifling. Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

Scarlett handed Nina a bottle of water. "It will take several hours to get out of this desert. Once we reach the next place, you need to rest. Dehydration and exhaustion could be dangerous."

"Alright," Nina agreed, though her mind was focused on finding Scott and Nash as soon as possible.

Despite their best efforts, the journey was taxing. The water they brought ran out, and Nina felt dizzy, her eyes struggling to stay open. As she was about to faint, Scarlett caught her, preventing her from falling off the camel.

"July, ask Moana how much longer it will take to get out of this desert," Scarlett said urgently, looking at July with concern.

Nina hadn't undergone the same rigorous training as Scarlett and the others. Prolonged exposure to these conditions was taking a toll on her.

July relayed the question, and Moana, noticing Nina had fainted, spoke to a man ahead of them. He handed her a bottle of murky liquid.

July translated, "Give this to Miss Nina. It will take at least three more hours to get out of this desert."

Three more hours without water. Nina wouldn't make it.

Scarlett eyed the dark liquid skeptically. "Can this be trusted?"

July translated Moana's words, "She saved my child, and I promised to guide you. This is a local tree called the black tree. The juice from its leaves is the best remedy for traveling through the desert."

Understanding that it was a stimulant like an energy drink, Scarlett decided they had no choice.

With no water left and still hours to go, they had to try it.
