CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 800

The conditions alone made her heart flutter with joy. She didn't want to endure the hardships of war any longer. Back then, she had been quite a beauty, and it was her looks and talent that had allowed her to

marry a man from Birkham.

But then she glanced at Nina. She couldn't just sit and do nothing.

"Nina, come change your clothes. They're soaked through," one of the older women called out.

Arin said, "You can wear my clothes. We're about the same size."

"Alright," Nina replied, finishing up with the herbs in her basket.

They had their own unique clothing, made from fabric they wove and sewed themselves. It looked a bit like traditional minority attire, with colorful designs representing their customs and culture. Nina found their clothes beautiful.

After changing, Arin exclaimed, "Wow, Nina, you look stunning! Our clothes make you even prettier!"

"Really?" Nina was unsure but felt a bit shy from the compliment.

"Absolutely! You should show Captain!" Arin said excitedly, pushing Nina outside.

Nina was confused. "Why should I show him?"

"Because Captain is outside. He needs to see your beauty so that woman won't get any ideas!" Arin said, clearly competitive.

Arin thought Nash treated Nina very well, and the two of them seemed to get along just fine. But then this other woman showed up, constantly hovering around Nash. It annoyed Arin, seeing her disrupt the harmony.

Nina was forcefully pushed out by Arin despite her reluctance.

Nash and his men were standing by the road. Suddenly, Felix noticed Nina and nudged Nash. "Captain!"

Nash looked in the direction Felix indicated and saw Nina standing at the doorway, dressed in the traditional attire. Arin had given her the best outfit, and Nina exuded an exotic charm in it.

Nash's gaze fixed on her, a smile tugging at his lips.

Arin boldly asked, "Captain, doesn't Nina look beautiful in our attire?"Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

Nina wanted to cover Arin's mouth. "You talk too much."

Arin just giggled.

Nash replied seriously, "She looks beautiful."

Arin cheered, "You all heard that, right? Captain said Nina looks beautiful!" She said it loudly, ensuring Chana heard it.

Chana, nearby, had already had her

ankle treated and was distributing water to the men. Hearing their conversation, she felt uncomfortable but forced a smile.

She quickly brought more water to Nash. "Captain, do you need more water?"

Nash's gaze shifted from Nina. "No, give it to the others."

"Chana, more water for me!"

"Chana, I need some too!"

"Sure thing!"

Chana was happy to help, but Nash moved away.

"Teacher looks so beautiful, like a fairy!" Some children exclaimed, circling Nina happily.

Nina smiled and patted their faces. "Such sweet talkers."

Suddenly, a young man blushed and handed Nina a bouquet of flowers. Nina accepted them. "Thank you."

The young man was shocked that she took them and then beamed with joy.

Arin exclaimed, "Oh no, you can't accept those! In our tribe, if an unmarried girl accepts flowers from a young man, it's a sign she accepts his proposal!"

Nina was startled, feeling like the flowers were burning her hands. Before she could react, a hand snatched the flowers and tossed them back.

"She's married. Take the flowers back!" Nash said coldly.

Nina looked up at him, puzzled.

They were divorced, so why say she was married?

What did he mean by that?

Did he not want her to find someone new?

What was his deal?

Nina turned to the young man and said softly, "I'm not married. Don't

listen to him. But we haven't really

gotten to know each other, so I can't accept these flowers."

Nash frowned, watching her closely.
