Chapter 980
No matter how bad or how dastardly the man got, the woman would never fail to make excuses and find reasons for him, shifting the blame on the woman instead.
Whatever it was, the man was never at fault. Even if he was, he would have his reasons for doing so against his will.
This was the behavior of the legendary perfect woman.
Such expectations never died despite the advancement of society. It merely became more covert and hidden.
Aurora enjoyed Theodore's dominance. She felt protected being by the side of a man like him.
He shone as bright as the stars in the night sky. As her only male lead of her life, she looked up to him.
Slowly, Aurora shut her eyes, looking as though she had fallen asleep.
Theodore kept her in his arms for a while, his gaze heavy. He sighed softly as fatigue washed over him, feeling as though his soul had been all sucked out of him.
How did things turn out like this?
Theodore carefully released Aurora. He was about to leave the bed when Aurora suddenly woke up and hugged him again.
Theo, where are you going? Are you going again? You're leaving me, aren't you?!"Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
"Aurora, I'm not leaving."
"You are leaving! You're leaving, right?" Aurora said through her tears. "I knew I couldn't sleep. Once I did, I wouldn't be able to see you. Theo, I'm not sleeping. Let me look at you a little longer, please?"
"Aurora, I'm going to take a shower. It's been a hectic few days, and I haven't had a chance to wash myself up properly."
"Shower? Oh, I see." Aurora chuckled. "I'm sorry, I misunderstood you. I thought you were leaving. Sorry."
Aurora released him obediently. "Go shower, then. I won't stop you. Sorry, Theo."
Theodore caressed her head dotingly and stood up.
Instead of immediately heading to the washroom, he crouched down and picked up the pills on the floor before putting them back into the bottle.
"Aurora, your pills are all dirty. I'll take you to the hospital tomorrow for a check-up and get a prescription for more pills."
These pills were from their home country. If they needed more pills in Melrine, they had to go for a consultation and get a prescription.
'Theo, I'm sorry for causing you so much trouble, Aurora said, looking very pale.
"It's no trouble. Don't say that. Get some rest while I shower."
Theodore put the pills aside and walked to the washroom.
Aurora laid on the bed and stared at the washroom in silence, waiting unblinkingly for him to emerge from there.
Deep obsession over Theodore filled her eyes.
Half an hour later, Theodore was done with his shower and blow-drying his hair. He walked out clad in sleepwear.
"Theo, you're done." Aurora immediately pulled the sheets next to her. "Quick, come over."
"Aurora, you go to sleep first. I'll sleep in the room next door."
With that, Theodore walked toward the door of the room.
Aurora immediately sat up on the bed. "Theo, what's wrong? Are you...are you not willing to sleep with me anymore?"
They had always been sleeping together.
"Aurora, I'm very sorry about what happened before. I went overboard. Things like that won't happen between us again."
Theo, what do you mean by that?"
The evasiveness in Theodore's eyes made it seem as though they had done something to be ashamed of.
But everything they did was normal.
Theo, didn't you say that we're a couple now? You even told your ex-wife that I'm pregnant with your child. Why are you changing your mind now?"
What I told Rose was a lie. Aurora, I'm sorry for using you."
