Darling, Please Love Me Again! (Gisele Meyer)

Chapter 54

Chapter 54

Jon solemnly greeted Celeste. “Mrs. Jefferson.”

Sierra hesitated, subconsciously covering her partially swollen ch*ek, and took a few steps. back. After that, she said in a gentle, feeble voice, “A–Aunt Celeste, what brings you here?”

Celeste was dressed in a light blue designer skirt suit and had her hair pulled back, presenting an impeccably polished appearance.

She sported a new mini handbag and carried several shopping bags from luxury brands such as Louis Vitton and Chanel.

“Sierra?” Celeste removed her sunglasses and saw her slightly bruised ch*ek.

She immediately walked over in concern and said, “My goodness! Who would dare to do this to your face? Tell me. I’ll make them pay for it!”

Sierra gracefully swayed her body, leaned against Celeste’s shoulder, and then murmured, It’s not a big deal. Gisele didn’t mean to hurt me. It’s because I didn’t-”

“So, that b*tch did this to you? Does she really think that we would accept her into our family after she married Don?”

Celeste glowered angrily as she soothingly patted Sierra’s hands.

“You don’t have to worry about anything, Sierra. As long as you have Don and I by your side, that woman won’t be able to cause you any trouble.”

As she said that, she handed the shopping bags to Sierra. “This is a little gift for you. You’ve only just returned from abroad, and you’re already hospitalized.”

Sierra was touched by Celeste’s concern. She bashfully responded, “I’m sorry to have worried you, but I’m really fine.

“Don was just being cautious and wanted me to stay at the hospital for a few days to be on the safe side.”

“It’s better to be safe than sorry.” Celeste smiled and added, “Sierra, I actually have something else I wanted to discuss with you on this visit.”

Sierra, who had just relaxed, felt her heart skip a beat. Although her smile faltered slightly, she remained calm.

“Aunt Celeste, please don’t hold back. If there’s anything I can do to help, I’ll gladly do it.”

“I’m glad to hear that. It’s nothing major. Do you recall the dark spot–removal remedy you gave me three years ago?” Celente asked with a smile.

Sierra was confused. What did Celeste mean by the remedy she gave her three years ago? “That remedy you gave me before you went abroad worked wonders! All the other wealthy women in our circle are also using your remedy now!” Celeste exclaimed with pride.

Sierra smiled demurely, yet a wave of jealousy washed over her. It turned out that all it took was a simple dark spot–removal remedy to win over those wealthy women.

After a gentle cough, Celeste continued, “I’m here today because of Deborah Gupta of the Witham family.

“I know you’re highly skilled in medicine, Sierra. If you can cure Deborah’s illness, Dad definitely won’t be able to overlook your ability to help Jefferson Group.”

The Witham, Jefferson, and Murray families were the three aristocratic families of Hearthfield. Their three–way rivalry was well–known in the city.

However, the Murray family had suddenly decided to venture into the entertainment industry, going as far as taking the helm of the industry in the country. Besides that, they had even gained international recognition for it.

Meanwhile, the Jefferson family had undergone a significant overhaul under Dorian’s leadership, ultimately reshaping the entire Jefferson Group. As a result, Jefferson Group had emerged as the leading company in Hearthfield.

As for the Witham family, they primarily worked with overseas markets, and their headquarters in Hearthfield had become a branch office instead.

As a result of their sudden move, they had ended up bringing in numerous overseas orders for Jefferson Group.

Furthermore, Declan and Deborah were former classmates, so if Sierra could cure Deborah, it would make it much easier for her to marry Dorian! Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

“Sierra, what are your thoughts on this?” Celeste asked again, seeing that Sierra hadn’t responded.

She had only come over because she had boasted to Deborah that her future daughter–in- law’s medical skills were remarkable.

Deborah and the other socialites were skeptical, so they had made a bet.

If Sierra could cure Deborah, then Witham Group would provide Jefferson Group’s hospitals

with the latest medical equipment imported from overseas at a discounted price.

On the other hand, if Celeste were to lose the bet, the new medical equipment imported by the Witham Group wouldn’t be provided to Jefferson Group at the price agreed upon three

years ago.

Instead, Jefferson Group would have to repurchase the medical equipment at the current market price.

It was worth noting that the price three years ago was only half of the current market price!

Celeste didn’t dare tell anyone about such an important matter, so she could only turn to Sierra for help.

Sierra gently bit her l*p and covered her forehead with her delicate hands.

She said weakly, “Of course I would help you out, Aunt Celeste. However, I’m still worried that there might be unexpected complications, so-”

She was just about to refuse, but Celeste suddenly grabbed her hand and said, “I knew I was right about you! After you’re discharged in a couple of days, I’ll invite Deborah’s family to Jefferson Villa.

“You and Don can come along then. What do you say?”
