Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 55

Chapter 55

Magdalen went off to dance, leaving Estelle as the only one on the sofa. She played some games with

Henson for a while, and then a whiff of perfume drifted over. Estelle looked up and saw Hattie.

Was that Jonathan’s lover? Or one of them?

Hattle was wearing a deep blue backless dress adorned with diamonds, looking radiant and

approachable. “Estelle,” she greeted.

Estelle and Henson said hi, exited the game, and gave á polite smile. “Ms. Hattie!”

Thanks to Firefly Media Group’s resources, Hattle appeared as a guest on a popular reality show and

gained some fame once again.

Her attitude was much more friendly than before, and she said with a smile, “I just saw Mr. Lamont.

Estelle, you came with him, right?”

Estelle had had four or five different drinks this afternoon, and she was now feeling somewhat uneasy.

She only smiled faintly without saying a word. Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

“Mr. Lamont must treat you very well, huh?” Hattie’s eyes sparkled when mentioning Jonathan.

Staying in the big comfortable sofa, Estelle tilted her head slightly and smiled at her, her voice pure and

innocent. “Ms. Hattie, do you like him?”

Hattie’s face flushed with embarrassment, and she looked down, smiling. “How could I deserve Mr.

Lamont?” So she admitted she liked him.

Estelle’s smile was even more innocent as she asked, “Last time I heard you talking with Ms. Vang.

She said you two slept together, is that true?”

Hattie blushed even more. “It was just a coincidence.”

Estelle blinked, becoming more curious. “What really happened? Tell me everything. My grandma has

been pushing him to find a girlfriend and get married lately. If you two are really something, I can put in

a good word for you with my grandma and make Jonathan take your relationship more serious.”

Hattie’s heart skipped a beat, her eyes gleaming with excitement. “Really?”

Estelle looked at her, “of course, trust me!”

Hattie moved closer, her beautiful makeup hiding her unease and anticipation. In a low voice, she said,

“It was a couple of months ago at the Sapphire Hotel. He got drunk and we…

She looked shyly down, not saying anything more, but it was clear what had happened.

Estelle’s calm eyes showed a hint of surprise. After a moment, she asked, “Was it on March 14th?”

Hattie was amazed. “How did you know?”

Estelle stared into her eyes and suddenly laughed. “Because something special happened to me that

day, too. And he came back very late that night, so I remember it clearly.”

Hattie seemed to understand and said awkwardly, “Actually, I don’t want to push him too far. Although

we slept together, it was just a coincidence, an one night thing. Besides, he’s been really good to me

already.”

Estelle chuckled, “I’ll talk to my grandma about it.”

“Don’t let him think it’s my idea.” Hattie’s expression was coy and timid as she whispered, “I don’t dare

to overreach and pressure him.”

Estelle smiled and looked up at the person standing behind the large embroidered ball. She said softly,

“Is that person looking for you?”

Hattie turned around and saw a friend who had come with her looking for her, and promptly stood

friend. She probably needs me for something. I’ll go see her, and we’ll chat later.”

“Sure.”

Hattie gave Estelle a gentle and especially sincere smile before leaving gracefully.

Estelle took a sip of her cocktail, it was sweet, she didn’t taste the spiciness of vodka at all.

Just as she was about to take a second sip, a handsome man in a suit appeared before her, his eyes

spar as he looked at her. He extended his right hand and asked politely, “Miss, would you like to dance

with me

Before she could answer, she heard a familiar voice above her head,

“Sorry, she can’t accept your invitation because it’s time for her to go home.”

Estelle looked up and met Jonathan’s gaze.
