Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 530

In the evening, Flora made her way back to her dorm room. Shawn had sent her a flurry of messages, detailing how Dr. Jules had marched into the lab to stand up for her.

"Flora, Dr. Ray is already regretting his actions! He even said he wants to apologize to you. He's also softened a bit, saying that if you score at least 95 in every subject in your midterms, he'll let you back into the lab."

Leaning lazily against her headboard, Flora took her time replying, mostly just reading Shawn's enthusiastic updates. Whether she returned to the lab or not didn't really matter to her.

Just like Jules had said, that rundown lab wasn't worth her time. Even if Dr. Ray personally begged her, she couldn't be bothered to go back.

But Jules was still tangled up in this mess. If she didn't hit those 95s, Jules would look bad too.

Tsk. She wanted to keep a low profile, but it seemed like her skills just wouldn't let her.

Was this situation forcing her to make another grand entrance?

Shawn sent another message: "Flora, just focus on your studies these next few days. If you need help with anything, just ask. I'm here for you anytime!" Flora replied: "Thanks, senior."

After wishing her goodnight, Shawn pondered for a moment and decided to compile some study materials for her. He knew who had set the midterm paper and was familiar with that teacher's style, so he could predict the questions and give Flora a precise range to study.

He really wanted to help Flora. After spending so many days together, he had grown quite fond of her.

It was one in the morning by the time he finished organizing pages of key points. Strangely, Shawn didn't feel tired at all. Despite staying up late these past few days, he always felt refreshed and stronger than before.

How odd. Could it be that the sachet Flora gave him actually worked wonders?

...

Instead of the lab, Flora tagged along with Eilies and Cynthia to attend classes. When she walked in, her classmates' expressions were a mix of surprise and curiosity.

Flora actually came to class.Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

It seemed what Libby had said was true; Flora had really been kicked out of the medical lab.

Truth be told, most of them were secretly delighted. When Flora had entered the medical lab, they were all resentful, feeling she didn't deserve it. Now that she was expelled, they took smug satisfaction in seeing a "genius" fall from grace.

"Hey, Flora, why aren't you in the medical lab today? Decided to grace us with your presence in class instead?"

"Flora's always been part of this class. Why wouldn't she be here?" Cynthia snapped, unable to hold back any longer. Her cherubic face showed a hint of anger. "Do you know her that well? Go back to your own seat."

"Getting defensive, aren't we? Hit a nerve?"

The girl was a friend of Libby's, and just like Libby, she couldn't stand Flora. Now with a chance to humiliate her, she didn't hold back.

"Flora, if you knew this would happen, why bother in the first place? Clearly lacking the ability, but you had to sneak into the lab through the back door. Now you're kicked out like a stray dog. Aren't you ashamed?"

Eilies's face darkened, ready to throw a book, when a voice rang out from the door.

"Did you soak your mouth in a toilet? Because all I hear is crap!"

The sharp female voice was seething with anger. At the door stood Brianna, Ivan, and over a dozen others.

The news of Flora being expelled from the medical lab had spread like wildfire through every department of the University of Maple Grove. Now, everyone saw Flora as a joke.

Ivan, worried about Flora, had decided to come and check on her.
