Chapter 538
At the Academic Affairs Office of the Fashion Design Department, Kaylee stood in line with a few other girls, all looking worse for wear with bruises and cuts. "Kaylee, you've always been such a good student. Since when did you start getting into fights?" Mr. Trevor asked, clearly distressed and disappointed.
Kaylee, usually the gentle and dependable one, kept her head down, silent.
One of the girls, her face red with anger, pointed at Kaylee, "Mr. Trevor, Kaylee started it! Look at what she did to us!"
When Kaylee lost her cool, she was like a raging bull, and even several girls together could hardly hold her down.
"Enough!" Mr. Trevor snapped. "I know you must have provoked Kaylee first!"
The girls flinched, a bit guilty but still defiant. "Mr. Trevor, you can't just side with Kaylee because she's a top student!"
"Yeah, she threw the first punch! You have to punish her severely!"
Kaylee bit her lip, not one to argue. The girls kept at it, not giving her a chance to speak.
"Mr. Trevor, you have to give Kaylee a major penalty! I'm feeling so dizzy, I might have a concussion!" The girls were determined to escalate the situation, even if it meant they would also get punished. Their goal was to drag Kaylee down with them, hoping the Rose Design Team might even fire her.
"Enough, all of you!" Mr. Trevor's head was pounding from the noise. "Keep this up, and I'll call your parents!"
Kaylee, silent until now, looked up, her hands trembling slightly. The last thing she wanted was for her mom to be called in.
"Mr. Trevor," a cool voice came from the door, and Kaylee's head whipped around. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
Seeing Flora, she clenched her hands tighter. She felt so useless, always troubling Flora.
"Flora, what brings you here?" Flora was well-known at the University of Maple Grove, and Mr. Trevor recognized her immediately.
"Came to check on Kaylee," Flora said.
"Alright, come in," Mr. Trevor's tone softened.
Flora walked in, followed by Moss. She glanced at Kaylee, noting the scratches and a handprint on her face. Her usually neat ponytail hung loose, making her look pitifully wilted. The other girls weren't in much better shape, all sporting bruises and swollen faces.
Flora raised an eyebrow. Had Kaylee alone managed to inflict all these injuries?
"Look at you, getting into fights now," Flora said casually, placing a hand on Kaylee's shoulder with a chuckle.
Kaylee's head drooped even lower, her ears turning red. Fighting was embarrassing, but for Flora, she had no regrets.
"Took on five and won, huh? You've really shown some grit," Flora teased.
Mr. Trevor was at a loss for words, feeling awkward. Was it really okay to say such things in front of him?
Moss looked at Mr. Trevor and nodded politely. "Mr. Trevor, may I have a word with you?"
