Chapter 177: Bonnie Visited Myles by Herself
Ivan bought a lot of food, mostly for Yanis.
Yanis looked a little better than in the afternoon. She looked even a little fresher.
After dinner, Bonnie asked Ivan to go home and she would stay at the hospital to take care of Yanis. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
Ivan wanted to stay, but Bonnie and Yanis eventually convinced him to leave.
The street lights were bright outside, and it started to drizzle. At night, it was chilled.
"Did you go to see Myles today?" Yanis leaned over the head of the bed and looked at Bonnie sitting
next to her bed.
Bonnie almost forgot that Myles was at the hospital too. "I was so focused on you this afternoon, I didn't
even think about him."
Yanis was distraught. "If he's not Myles," she said, "anyone else would be mad at you."
"He could be angry, too."
"Well, I'm fine right now. He's also in the same hospital anyway. Go and see him."
Bonnie shook her head. "No."
"Are you not going to talk to him anymore?"
Bonnie pursed her lips. "I didn't say that."
"If you don't want to get married, then don't. If you talk to him, he'll listen. It's not like you have to get
married now."
Bonnie got scolded by Yanis and got up. "Come on, come on, you're acting like an old mom. I'll go
check on him, ok? I mean, it's not like I'm abusing him."
"By the way, did you bring my phone?"
Bonnie shook her head. "I came as soon as Ivan called me. Who would remember a cell phone?"
She handed Yanis her cell phone. "You know the code. Call Myles if you need me, and I'll be right over
there."
Yanis responded, "got it. You should go."
The obstetrics and gynecology inpatient department was not in the same building as the other patients.
Myles was across from the women's and children's building.
In the ward, Myles had a cold look all day.
Haider was affected too.
"Haider, did you criticize him?" The man sitting on the sofa poked Haider and asked.
Haider looked up at his cold face like he owed hundreds of millions to Myles. "He argued with Bonnie."
The man hissed. "Did he? Really?"
Haider chuckled. "Yes. Bonnie hasn't been here all day."
At this moment, Haider looked at the man sitting next to him. "Evan, honestly, who stabbed him?"
"Don't ask me, Haider," Perry said, "you know we deal with dangerous people. We offend a lot of
people. Sometimes a small mistake will take your life. This time was just a mistake."
"Mistakes almost killed him. If it wasn't a mistake, will he die?"
Evan, "..."
"It's not like that, but I'll keep an eye on him in the future. Don't ask me about it anymore."
Myles might be dealing with dangerous people, but he wouldn't get Haider involved.
As a result, Haider was usually kept in the dark about Myles's business.
Except when they got home at night, the two brothers were like family.
At other times the two of them were like strangers and never socialized much.
They were afraid of getting the other person hurt.
Myles, in particular, sometimes never mentioned his relationship with Haider to other people, and even
called Haider Mr. Hughes when he ran into him.
He was polite and distant, and no one could imagine that the two were brothers.
While they were talking in low voices, the door of the ward opened.
Almost at the same time, they looked over in the direction of the door.
Even Myles, who was lying in bed checking his phone, looked up for the first time.
Bonnie was visibly stunned when three of them stared at her. "I... Do you want me to get out?
"Don't you dare!
"No!"
"It's all right!"
All three of them said at the same time
Bonnie, "..."
"Bonnie, I have something to do. Watch him for a while. Ask Evan to stay with him tonight, and then
you can go back." Haider told her this and stood up.
Evan, who suddenly realized something, said, "I can't do that. I've got work to do. I'll just leave him to
Bonnie."
Bonnie was feeling awkward. "Well, I really can't be here tonight. I have plans, too."
Haider and Evan both looked at Myles.
Myles's face was noticeably colder than before.
"I don't want companionship. It's not like I'm disabled," Myles said with resentment.
Haider and Evan just said hello to Bonnie and left.
Bonnie and Myles were left alone in the room.
Bonnie walked over to the side of the bed and sat down in a chair next to him, not speaking.
Myles put his phone away as soon as Bonnie walked in, staring at her.
The two stared at each other for a moment. Myles was the first to speak, "why are you here? I didn't
even call you first."
Bonnie was about to say something back, but as she saw the look of grievance on his face, she said,
"you're a victim. I shouldn't have upset you."
Myles raised his eyebrows when he heard Bonnie's words. "Wow, you really understood me this time!"
"When didn't I understand you?"
Myles chuckled and rubbed his hand over her head. "I shouldn't have mentioned it yesterday. If you
didn't want to, then forget about it."
Bonnie didn't really want to talk to Myles about it, so she just said, "got it."
"Did you eat?"
Bonnie grunted. "Yes, I ate with Ivan and Yanis."
Myles was about to say that he hadn't eaten yet when the door was pushed open again.
Bonnie frowned when she saw the person walk in, then she turned to look at Myles.
Myles didn't expect her to come.
He had apparently said no to her over the phone.
He didn't expect her to come anyway.
"Oh, Bonnie's there, too." The person who came in didn't feel awkward at all. She acted like everything
was normal.
Bonnie was always polite to other people, especially when they were smiling at her. Instead of giving
her an ugly look, Bonnie responded casually, "just got here."
"When I called Myles, he said he was alone, so I didn't bring you dinner. How about I take you out and
eat something later?" The woman was talking in a gentle voice.
Bonnie shook her head. "No, I ate already before I got here."
"Well, good. I brought Myles dinner." The woman had put the containers aside on the table as she
spoke. "Myles, I cooked the dishes you used to like tonight."
