Chapter 901: I'm Sorry, I Broke My Promise
Beatrice nervously swallowed her saliva. "Well... it wasn't Felix who instigated this. If you're so capable,
why don't you go find someone else?"
Allan sneered. "Do you know what happened to the person who instigated it back then? The grass on
his grave is as tall as you!"
When Beatrice heard Allan's words, she took a big step back in fear.
"Don't believe me? Do you want me to take you there right now? Let's see if the grass on his grave is
as tall as you!" Allan said, and Beatrice kept retreating before turning and running outside.
After Beatrice left, Mitch looked at Allan. "Did Miah's kid die?" Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
Allan looked at Mitch. "You didn't know?"
Mitch shook his head. "Did you do it?"
"That has nothing to do with Allan. It was because the kid bullied a little girl in town, and she ended up
in a coma. He was scared and fell off his bike while trying to escape," Allan explained.
Before Allan could continue, Lachlan's voice came from the phone.
Allan glanced at Mitch and muttered, "I'm hanging up now."
He ended the call and looked at Mitch. "Aren't you going inside?"
Mitch asked in a roundabout way, "When are you going back to Viteto?"
Allan looked at Mitch and asked, "What's the matter?"
"Just asking," Mitch replied.
Allan put away his phone. "When are you going back? I'll go with you. With Evan in Manchester City,
things will be fine."
Mitch nodded and turned to go inside, but he suddenly stopped and looked back at Allan. "Aren't you
going to get your injuries checked?"
"No need," Allan replied, lifting his foot and walking towards Mitch. "You don't need to tell anyone."
Mitch frowned. "Did you lock Lachlan's mouth?"
Upon hearing Mitch's words, Allan chuckled softly. "He probably won't be able to come over before I
leave. His dad will keep him at home."
"You're causing trouble again. They won't let their son play with you anymore, yet you're still fooling
around," Mitch said in a low voice.
Allan retorted, "Uncle Sameer didn't let you guys play with me back then, did he? And now..."
He stopped midway through his sentence when he met Mitch's gaze, then changed the subject. "I've
learned my lesson now."
Mitch snorted coldly but didn't say anything more. He turned and entered the house.
Reed, seeing Mitch and Allan come in, stood up and served the food. "Let's eat."
Allan rushed forward and took Mitch's seat, sitting next to Reed. Mitch glanced at Allan but remained
silent.
They all tacitly avoided mentioning the incident with Beatrice at the dinner table.
After finishing their meal, Yanis and Zane prepared to go for a walk outside.
Taylor and Payne went to find their previous playmates.
Natasha and Mia went back to their rooms to pack their belongings.
In the kitchen, only Allan, Reed, and Mitch remained.
Allan saw Reed packing and stood up to help. However, before his hand could reach, Reed slapped it
away with a loud sound.
Mitch looked up when he heard the noise, showing a hint of surprise. After all, in Mitch's memory, Reed
was someone who would never resort to violence.
And yet, she had just hit someone.
Looking at Allan, Mitch suddenly felt like laughing, but he held back because of the atmosphere.
Allan didn't expect Reed to suddenly act this way, and he stood beside the table somewhat stunned.
Reed tidied up the cutlery on the table and then looked at Allan, "Did you take my brother to fight?"
Only then did Allan quickly react. Why did Reed suddenly hit him? Was it because she thought he took
Mitch to fight?
Allan opened his mouth to explain, but considering their relationship and what had happened between
him and Reed, he decided not to deny it. "There won't be a next time."
Reed looked straight at Allan. "Were Felix and the others involved back then?"
Allan nodded and sat back down on the chair. "You probably didn't notice at the time."
Reed stood by the table, her hand by her side tightening. After a while, she said, "Since those things
are in the past, there's no need to go looking for them again."
Allan agreed. "Alright."
After Allan nodded, Reed looked at Mitch.
"I understand," Mitch replied, standing up. "Allan, you're injured. Go help him take care of it. I'll wash
the dishes."
Previously, Mitch had many reasons not to approve of Allan being with Reed. But now, seeing how
much Allan had changed for her, Mitch had made up his mind.
After hearing Mitch's words, Reed looked at Allan in surprise. "You're injured?"
Allan hadn't expected that Mitch would directly tell Reed, despite his repeated warnings to Lachlan not
to let it slip.
"Uh, it's just a minor injury. It's almost healed," Allan said, not wanting Reed to see the scars
crisscrossing his body.
"The first aid kit is in the bedroom," Mitch added at that moment.
Reed stepped forward and pulled Allan up from the chair, dragging him outside.
Allan wanted to say something, but Reed's voice rang out first. "Shut up!"
Allan swallowed the words he was about to say and followed Reed obediently into the house.
Reed fetched the first aid kit from the room and led Allan to her own bedroom. After closing the door,
Reed turned to Allan. "Where are you injured?"
Allan looked at Reed. "It's really nothing, just a minor injury."
Reed stood still, her gaze fixed on Allan's face. "Where are you injured?"
Under Reed's intense gaze, Allan finally lifted his shirt. There was a wound on his waist, a result of him
stepping in between Mitch and Felix when they fought earlier. It was a shallow cut because Mitch acted
quickly and prevented it from going too deep. If Mitch hadn't intervened in time, the knife might have
gone in much deeper.
Mitch had taken care of it briefly when they returned, but it still looked bloody and somewhat daunting.
When Reed saw the wound on Allan's body, she frowned slightly. "Why didn't you say anything
earlier?"
"Just a minor..."
"You said you wouldn't get into fights anymore," Reed interrupted him before he could finish his
sentence.
Upon hearing Reed's words, Allan paused and said, "I'm sorry, I broke my promise."
Reed didn't respond to Allan's apology. Instead, she opened the first aid kit and looked at Allan. "Lower
your shirt a bit, I'll take care of it."
Allan looked at Reed and finally nodded. "Alright."
As Reed prepared the supplies, she hesitated for a moment. "Maybe you should take off your shirt."
