Bonnie responded, "Don't just talk about me. What about you? When do you plan to return to M
Country after this trip?"
Bonnie knew very well that Ivan wouldn't stay in Manches City just because of Madison's suicide
attempt. This city brought him too many complex emotions, so leaving was the best option.
As for the matter between Madison and Yanis, the final decision rested with Yanis.
Ivan smiled at Bonnie, saying, "I'll wait until she's discharged, then I'll go back. There are many things I
need to handle personally over there. Darin has already done enough for me during this time."
"You better thank Mr. Walsh when you go back. He's been working for you for free," Bonnie teased.
Ivan replied, "That's for sure."
With that, Ivan checked the time and said, "It's getting late. I should head back. You go inside."
Bonnie straightened her body and looked at Ivan. She said softly, "Ivan, although some things are
difficult to let go of, if you don't look at the people around you, how can you let go? Besides, there are
things that you must let go of, even if you don't want to. Do you understand what I mean?"
Ivan chuckled and said, "I understand. I'll remember Miss Cooke's advice."
Bonnie turned away and smiled. "You're so annoying. Just leave already."
Ivan nodded and said, "Go inside."
Bonnie responded with a sound and turned to enter the small villa. However, once she stepped inside,
she didn't actually go in right away. Instead, she stood to the side and watched Ivan drive away. Only
then did she turn back and walk inside.
"Ivan left?" Stella approached Bonnie while holding Mles.
Bonnie nodded and reached out to take Mles from Stella. "Why did you come out?"
"The two of us, as third wheels, shouldn't stay in there with straight faces, right?" Stella said softly.
Upon hearing Stella's words, Bonnie immediately understood what she meant and chuckled. "Zane got
jealous, huh? He must have noticed Yanis talking to Ivan all night."
Stella nodded. "Definitely. He's a bit sour."
"Mr. Hawkins ate quite a lot tonight," Bonnie added.
Thinking of Brandon and Sandy, Stella couldn't help but think of Lane. She cautiously looked at Bonnie This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
and said, "Bonnie, that Lawyer Phillips is really not bad."
Bonnie knew what Stella wanted to say and responded softly, "Yes, he's quite good. We've known each
other for a long time."
"He looks interested in you," Stella continued, holding Mles.
Bonnie smiled. "He's indeed interested in someone. But for me, he can only be considered one of my
best friends. I don't have any other feelings for him."
Hearing Bonnie's words, Stella sighed and said, "Okay, if it's not Lawyer Phillips, then someone else.
But whoever it is, we must approve of him."
Bonnie pushed Sandy gently, leading her inside. "If there really comes such a day, I'll definitely bring
him to you guys. You can interrogate him thoroughly and check his background to be sure."
Stella nodded. "That sounds about right."
After Bonnie and Stella entered, they found only Zane in the living room.
Bonnie glanced towards the kitchen. "Did Yanis go to wash the dishes?"
Zane responded, "She asked you to rest for a while."
Bonnie smirked. "Aren't you worried about her?"
"I'll worry about her when we get home. Outside, I'll listen to her," Zane said.
Bonnie and Stella exchanged glances and both clicked their tongues in agreement. Then, Bonnie
turned to go to the kitchen.
"Didn't we agree that I'd do the cleaning myself?" Bonnie entered the kitchen and started to clean up
the other areas.
Yanis turned her head to look at Bonnie's face. "I'll do it, you go rest."
"I'm not tired. If I were, I'd be lying down, not moving," Bonnie said.
Yanis didn't argue with Bonnie. While washing the dishes, she said, "Lawyer Phillips looked quite pitiful
today."
Hearing Yanis' words, Bonnie's movements paused. "Yanis, you really understand me."
"That's why I think Lawyer Phillips is pitiful. Why like someone who's unattainable when there are so
many other options?" Yanis said softly.
Though Yanis also hoped that Bonnie could try to get along with Lane slowly, even if just as friends,
Bonnie had no intention of doing so. She truly only saw Lane as a friend and nothing more.
"That's because I'm so good-looking," Bonnie joked.
Yanis smiled. "Am I a caring big sister now?"
"No, you're like a nagging old mom," Bonnie teased.
Yanis replied, "You're actually starting to find me nagging now?"
Bonnie looked at Yanis. "Hasn't Mr. Lawrence ever found you nagging?"
"He wouldn't dare!" Yanis retorted.
Bonnie recalled what Zane had said earlier and repeated it word for word. "Your Mr. Lawrence is really
obedient."
