Lily
Raising her head, she finally looks in my direction noticing my presence.
“Oh hi there” She smiled. “I think I remember you from the house the other day. You came and left immediately after I opened the door like you saw something you shouldn’t have”
“Right… Something I didn’t need to…” I whispered
“But did you see someone that scared you?”
“Nah, I didn’t see SOMEONE, I saw something, yea; something in them pig polo that didn’t belong to you”
“Come on Lily, don’t do that”
“Lily? For real? I’m the only one you’re calling out here? Real mature Cayden” I took Jacek from his hands and stormed off. He seemed to not know when he says the wrong thing to me and that’s pretty messed up. Taking her side over mine? He’s never even bothered to introduce me to her to at least, know who she is. She just shows up everywhere acting like an obsessed girlfriend. How in the hell did she even know where we were? Were we being followed? Some creepy shit right there.
Going back home, I do a little bit of sightseeing with Jacek because why not? I’ve been away from him a lot these days, so while I’m at it let’s just make a memorable evening out of it.
There were lots of animals around. Very beautiful animals as I love to call everything that has to do with nature beautiful, quite a mystery. We went back to the entrance to ask how these animals were fed and they gave us the food for ducklings, peacocks, monkeys and chickens. I didn’t want to do any other animals that might have been a danger to Jacek, so I decided to operate safely.
We went back out there and fed the animals, there was a supervisor there just in case and they also educated us on the uniqueness of the different animals.Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
We witnessed a white cock and hen mating, it was quite the view; I turned Jacek’s eyes away. Couldn’t let my boy see that now. Other things we learned were:
Chickens are the closest living relatives of dinosaurs! Scientific evidence has proven the shared common ancestry between chickens and the Tyrannosaurus rex.
Chickens have domesticated about 8000 years ago and evolved from the Red junglefowl, which are tropical birds that live in the jungle. These wild birds fly to escape predators and to roost high up in trees. Today’s domestic chickens still can fly, although not as effectively. Chickens can fly for short distances – enough to clear obstacles or reach a perch.
Research has shown that chickens experience REM (rapid eye movement) while sleeping, meaning they can dream just like us! They also have a sleep phase that humans don’t experience called unihemispheric slow-wave sleep, where one half of the brain is asleep and the other is awake. This means that chickens can sleep with one eye open, which is especially useful for looking out for predators.
Like humans, chickens have colour vision and can see red, green and blue light. However, what makes chicken vision unique from ours is that they are also able to see ultraviolet light, which are the colours you see when using black light!
“Wow, Mama! That’s awesome!” Everyone in our tour group laughed. That might have just been the only thing that he might have heard now… The guy continued:
“Well generally” He kept talking as he walks, taking s towards the elephants “Did you know, that the heart of a shrimp is located in its head? That a snail can sleep for three years?” His eyes brightened as he scratched his nose” this would blow your mind. Did you know that the fingerprints of a koala are so indistinguishable from humans that they have on occasion been confused at a crime scene?” “You can’t be serious”
He answered her but I started getting lost in my thoughts. I thought about what happened earlier, and how it made me feel. I did have feelings for him but I don’t have to act on them, since he’s too blind to see and keeps hanging out with that lady.
As I started to walk out of the place, I spotted them still there talking. Seems she might have convinced him to work after all. They were very chatty and were looking at the paper she brought earlier on. Seems like he likes her… Nah, I’m not doing that to myself. I’m just gonna go home. The whole mood for the day had already been ruined by “knock off Dakota Johnson” in 50 shades and her mister.

I don’t even get what’s happened. I just wanted her to not get into it with little miss over here. Seems like I always end up saying all the wrong things to Lily and I don’t even realize it mostly. If she’d just be patient with me and try to explain sometime or even go straight to the point and ask questions, she just gets mad and bolt. That’s just crazy
“You know that’s not just friendship going on with you too, yea? Cause y’all were out and you were holding her child and all. I see why you were with her” she smiled.
“And you’re in denial too, she’s not just any local, there’s more tea in this story and you know it. Being in denial must be a superpower for the both of you” I laughed
“Shut up you! You don’t even know what you’re saying. You just want to get me. Don’t put words in my mouth, please. Offering and taking a woman and her child out doesn’t mean so much. I do care but that’s all” I knew I just lied anyway. I feel so confused about my feelings these days. Lily is here and not here at the same time. She keeps giving mixed signals. Don’t know if she’s avoiding me on purpose or doesn’t want anything to have to do with me. Whichever one it is, I better know fast, the clock’s ticking.
