“No need.” Terence reached out to grab her wrist and pulled her back. He stared at her and mocked, “What are you running away from?”

“I did not.” Esther did not dare to look at the stage again.

“James, what are you doing?” Jennifer whispered to James, who was in a daze. She was a little speechless and said, “You’re distracted at such an important moment! My God!”
