Chapter 357 Buy Wedding Ring
Chapter 357 Buy Wedding Ring
"Why are you so nervous? We will have to buy wedding rings sooner or later since we are getting
married soon after the New Year." Noah noticed that Carla looked uncomfortable and nervous, so he
held her hand tightly. He even gave her a big smile, wanting to calm her.
"Well, sir and madam, have a look here. These are our most popular recent models. Moreover, they are
all unique. We are also offering specialized designers to customize them for you." The saleslady
introduced the pieces of jewelry to them. She was hoping for the couple to buy her products.
Walking closer to the dazzling jewels, Carla gave each of them a glance. She didn't look happy at all
when she turned to Noah and forced a bitter smile. Pretending to scrutinize the displays in the
showcase, she casually said, "They are all beautiful. But I don't think there's any here that I personally
like, Noah."
As she spoke she suddenly thought of the huge diamond rings inside her drawer that Terence had
brought her.
Going back to reality, she thought that the rings in the shop were not even a match to what she already
had. They all looked worthless.
Noah also lowered his head to scan the rings. He nodded after some seconds and agreed, "You're
right. There's nothing special here. Well, that's fine. I don't think that these ordinary rings can match
you at all. We don't have enough time now, so I'll just find a good designer to customize one for you
later."
Carla nodded greatly and thought that it was better not to buy a wedding ring now. She was still holding
her hopes high that things would change soon.
The two walked out of the jewelry store and went back to the car.
"Aren't we going back to the company, Noah?"
asked Carla upon noticing that they were not driving towards the office building of the Hua Group.
"Yes. It is Sunday and you only have half a day to rest before going back to work tomorrow. So, of
course! I should take you out to have some fun! That's a lot better than sending you back to the office
and let you work overtime."
Noah glanced at Carla patiently. He shifted his gaze to look at the road ahead.
Then he added, "Don't worry about the company. I have already arranged everything well."
Truth was, he didn't want to hear her explanation.
Carla read his mind and just silently agreed.
When they arrived and finally parked the car, Carla was amazed to find that he took her to a
racecourse!
"I heard that you love riding horses, so I decided to take you here. How do you feel now? You aren't
just bragging about it, are you?" Noah smiled teasingly while looking at her. Then he led her inside the
racecourse.
"How can you say that I'm bragging? I'm done, Noah. You've taken me to the wrong place. How could
you really take me here? I'm going to betray my words,"
Carla said in a joking way, pretending to be angry. Her words might be loud but then she smiled at
Noah widely before running to the stable. She was even excited when she chose her horse carefully. It
had been so long since she rode a horse.
"How about this one?"
Noah chose a small white horse for her and thought that Carla would prefer it. However,
disappointment showed on his face in an instant when Carla looked at him and shook her head.
When choosing horses, Carla would pick out the strongest and the most appealing one in her eyes.
"Are you sure?"
Noah stared at her in disbelief after he saw what she was pointing to. He tried to persuade Carla and
said, "Your leg just recovered, Carla. That horse is bad for you. You'll get injured if you fall from that. I
can just imagine you unable to walk again for the next three or four months. What now? Do you still
think it's a good idea?"
"What are you talking about? Stop saying those, okay? It's disappointing."
Carla gazed at him with a little anger.
Then she touched the black horse she had chosen gently. It had a soft, shiny, long, jet black mane that
looked like precious silk. Carla felt good running her hands on it.
However, Noah was quite worried about her since the horse looked so fierce. He thought Carla would
have a hard time controlling such a fierce-looking horse. He would feel terrible if she hurt herself again.
"Carla..."
He called out her name as soon as he came back to himself. However, it was too late. Carla was
already wearing a riding dress on top of the horse. He deeply frowned and started feeling even more
anxious.
Riding the horse, Carla didn't rush to make it run. Instead, she just let the horse go its way casually.
After a while, she touched the horse's mane and gently pulled the reins. Slowly, the horse began to run.
Noah was behind her, running to catch up with her.
He looked at Carla and realized in an instant that his worry for her was pointless. Carla was making the
horse run like the wind gracefully and expertly.
It was almost impossible for him to at least tail next to her.
That was when he convinced himself that Carla wasn't lying when she said she beat Johnny in horse
racing because she jetted away.
Who would have thought that someone as delicate looking as Carla had the power to control a tough
black horse?
The atmosphere in that place was different from the rest area.
It was too quiet.
It was rare for Kelvin to change place to ride horses. He knocked on the glass window and turned to
the man who was sitting beside him before saying, "Look at that woman riding the horse, Johnny. She's
amazing. She can even compare with..."
Kelvin didn't directly call out Carla's name. Being Johnny's friend, he certainly knew his thoughts. He
didn't want to make him unhappy, so he skipped Carla's name.
The two had already been to every racecourse in and around JA City. They just changed the
racecourse for fun. It was such a surprise though to meet a good rider.
More so, a female.
Johnny was drinking water when Kelvin called him. Thus, he shifted his gaze and looked at the girl
Kelvin was pointing to. However, his sight froze in amazement when he recognized the girl who was
riding the horse.
Though his time with Carla didn't last long, he couldn't be wrong on distinguishing her.
He didn't even need a long time to make sure that it was Carla.
His heart was certain the very time he laid his eyes on her.
"That's she!" Johnny couldn't help but exclaim.
"What do you mean? Who? You know her?" Kelvin raised several questions at the same time and
walked closer to Johnny curiously.
Johnny's gaze shifted to the man next to Carla. He then raised his eyebrows in disdain and sneered,
"Do you know who the man beside the girl is? I have long heard that she was engaged with Noah but I
haven't believed it and thought it was just a rumor. However, it seems to be true now." Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"What? Are you kidding me?"
Shock flooded Kelvin's face the moment he heard Johnny's words and he thought that it was just an
absurd joke. Thus, he calmed himself and said, "Wait, I can't understand. Isn't she Terence's girlfriend?
What I know is that Terence loves her so much and could sacrifice everything for her. How could she
be Noah's fiancee all of a sudden?"
"You're not getting this at all. It happened three or even four months ago. It is not sudden. It's just that I
thought it was fake news,"
murmured Johnny with his eyes still focused on the girl. He was obviously in deep thoughts.
"Whoa! That's shocking! I never expected that the outstanding and charming Terence would lose to
Noah. Incredible!"
Kelvin shook his head slowly to show how amazed he was.
There were countless of wealthy and powerful families in JA City. Nevertheless, the An Family could be
considered the leader among others. How was it possible to lose to a business family? Moreover, the
family that beat the An family was just from a second-tier city. That was just utterly ridiculous!
"Stop jumping to conclusions. There must be something more to it that we don't know,"
said Johnny contemplatively.
He had known Terence for far more than just one day. Thus, he felt that he knew him more or less.
With how he remembered Terence personality, Terence wasn't really the type of person to give up on
something he had chosen. The only time Terence would let it go was when he didn't care about it
anymore.
Therefore, Johnny knew that fighting with him would be futile. It would be very unwise to fight against
Terence for something Terence valued.
At the racecourse, Carla felt very tired after riding for a long while. Thus, she got off the horse and took
a rest.
Noah carefully helped her jump off the horse and then affectionately wiped the sweat on her forehead.
He then said, "Are you tired? Let's rest there."
Nodding, Carla followed him into the resting area.
Johnny was standing next to the resting area's window at that time and saw the two walking towards
him. Suddenly, he came up with a good idea, so he waved at Kelvin.
"Kelvin, give me a hand. I want you to do me a favor."
