Chapter 133
A gentle, melodious voice pierced through the cacophony of music and chatter, standing out prominently.
Lola turned her head toward the source of the captivating voice.
A woman in a black evening gown, her long hair cascading over her shoulders, walked gracefully toward Dominick. She had a mature, stunning appearance.
Lola felt a strange emotion stir within her as she observed the woman.
This woman had a subtle smile in her eyes and carried herself with an elegant demeanor. The way she looked at Dominick suggested that they had known each other for a long time.
Dominick glanced at her calmly and said, “It has indeed been a while. Why are you here?”
The woman smiled. She said, “It’s just a coincidence. My father transferred me to the branch here. When I heard about the young, promising CEO in the news, I didn’t expect it to be you. But they weren’t exaggerating one bit.”
She walked up to Dominick, lightly nudging his knee with hers. “What are you still sitting for? Scoot over and make some space for me.”
Surprisingly, Dominick didn’t seem annoyed. He obediently moved aside.
“It seems you’ve been doing well recently. Your father must have full confidence in you now.”
Lola couldn’t help but fix her gaze on the woman. There was something undeniably charming about her, a magnetic allure that even made Dominick heed her words.
She felt a tightness in her chest, unsure if it was due to the heat or something else.
“Hey, Ms. Coyle, why are you here? I’ve heard you’re the most beautiful woman in Talondria, and seeing you today,
I must say, the rumors don’t do you justice,” someone exclaimed as they recognized Siobhan Coyle and stepped forward to greet her.
Siobhan was not arrogant. She modestly raised her hand and said, “Hello, Mr. Bates, you’re too kind and exaggerating.”
“Everyone, be the judge here. Am I exaggerating? Ms. Coyle is indeed beautiful, standing out even in a party full of stunning women.”
“Beautiful indeed. It’s worth coming to the party just to see Ms. Coyle in person.”
“Absolutely, it seems Mr. Sinclair and Ms. Coyle are old acquaintances. What a stunning pair.”

The surrounding voices grew louder in their praise, eventually turning into well–wishes for Dominick and Siobhan.
“They are not only old friends but also such a great match. Why aren’t they together?”
“When I first saw Mr. Sinclair, I wondered what kind of woman would be a good match for him. Now I see.”
Dominick frowned slightly as the chatter became more outrageous. He instinctively glanced at Lola.
Lola was also looking at them. She was expressionless, revealing nothing of her emotions.
Dominick’s expression darkened further. Did this woman really feel nothing at all?
Noticing Dominick’s gaze, Lola gave a polite smile.
‘She’s actually smiling. That clearly means she doesn’t care about me being with another woman.‘
A wave of irritation rose in Dominick’s heart, spreading uncontrollably.
“What’s wrong? Is that girl over there a friend of yours?” Siobhan asked, noticing that Dominick was constantly looking in Lola’s direction.
Their eyes met, and Siobhan smiled gracefully, then greeted Lola, “Hello.”
Lola was slightly taken aback but nodded gracefully. “Hello.”
Siobhan turned to Dominick teasingly. “Your look is off. I know you. That girl isn’t just anyone, right? Did you bring her here?”
Feeling somewhat dissatisfied with Lola’s reaction, Dominick responded petulantly, “No. She’s one of the members of the Lewis family and the president of the Lewis Group. She hardly needs me to bring her to this party, doesn’t she?”
Siobhan was stunned. Dominick’s tone was unusual, almost as if he was sulking, something she had never seen before.
“Dom, you can’t fool me. Others might believe you, but I know you too well. After all these

Siobhan was eager to find out the relationship between Dominick and the girl, who even she found stunning at first sight.
Dominick, growing impatient, retorted, “Why are you so interested in her? If you are, go ask her yourself.”
“Why do you still have such a temper? You haven’t changed at all,” Siobhan remarked, each line of hers underscoring their unique connection.

“I know what you’re thinking, but trust me, I understand a woman’s mind better than you do. Are you sure you don’t need my help?”

Siobhan whispered to Dominick, “You need to realize that romance isn’t really your thing. You can come to me if you want to know better how she feels. I know exactly how to gauge someone’s interest. Don’t you want to know if that girl has feelings for you?”
Dominick looked at Siobhan with disdain. “What do you mean?”
Siobhan smiled mysteriously, “Don’t worry about what I mean. Just tell me, do you want to know what she truly feels about you deep down?”
Dominick frowned slightly, not rushing to answer but also not refusing.
Siobhan patted his shoulder. “Don’t be surprised by what I do next. Just go along with it.”
The next moment, Siobhan suddenly went limp, collapsing into Dominick’s arms.
“Oh dear, I’ve been so busy with work these past few days that I haven’t had time to eat properly. My body just can’t take it anymore.”
Dominick instinctively placed his arm between them, ready to push her away.
Siobhan quickly warned, “Hey, Dominick Sinclair, don’t you want to know what that girl really thinks about you?”
Despite his disdainful expression, Dominick stopped and didn’t push Siobhan away.
“The party will be over soon. Why don’t you take me home? We haven’t seen each other for so long, let’s catch up. I have so much to talk to you about,” Siobhan said, her voice pitched just loud enough
for Lola to hear.
Lola frowned slightly. This girl seemed to know Dominick longer and perhaps was closer to him. Earlier, people were saying how well–matched they were.
This should be a good thing. With a new woman in his life, maybe Dominick would stop tormenting her like he did today.
