Love's Redemption

Redmption 117

Redmption 117

Nevertheless, Brandon was still very nice to me. Besides, with his righteous, soldierly character, he wouldn’t treat Kara differently.

I was lost in thought and only went to Brandon’s room after 20 minutes. He wanted me to go over in ten minutes–probably because he wanted to wash up and change.

I Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.

As I expected, Brandon’s hair was still wet when he opened the door. He wore loose clothes and hotel slippers.

“Come in,” he said curtly.

I noticed that his laptop was turned on. I walked over and asked directly,” What’s the new issue?”

I placed it in the Word document on my desktop. Open it up and read it for yourself.” As he spoke, the water in the kettle just started to boil.

I sat down and looked at his desktop. With his personality, I assumed that his desktop would be neat, but I was wrong. His desktop was cluttered with

with different files.

It was probably a good thing that I didn’t have OCD or I would faint. With all these files, I asked, “You have so many files on your desktop. Which one is it?”

Brandon said, “The one named YLC.”

I looked through his desktop, staring at the screen. Perhaps I watched too many episodes of the series, so my eyes were tired, but I couldn’t find the document after looking all over.

“I can’t find it, Brandon.” I turned to look at him.

He was making honey lemon tea. I could smell its fragrance.

“Let me see.” He was about to walk over when his phone rang. He looked at the screen before saying, “Wait.”

Then, I would try to find it again. I stared at the screen to locate the document while listening to his phone call.

The caller said they didn’t know, and Brandon said, “We signed an agreement. I

won’t accept any changes or compensation. Yes. This is not negotiable.”

His call ended very quickly, and I didn’t even have time to finish looking at all the files on his desktop. Actually, the issue wasn’t with the number of files, but the file he wanted was titled what seemed to be a bunch of random letters.

Brandon brought the tea over and placed the cup beside my hand. “For you.”

“Thanks.” As soon as I said it, I felt my back tense up.

Brandon’s arm reached over my shoulder to point at one of the files on the screen, but this made him seem like he was half–hugging me.

“It’s here.”

His voice was low and gravelly. He was also very close to me. I could almost feel his chin above my forehead. If I so much as twitched, we would be touching.

The worst thing was his scent. He smelled like soap and shampoo, which was very refreshing and alluring.

All of a sudden, I felt my body warm up, and blood rushed to my cheeks. I also felt frozen in place. My limbs were numb, and my mind went blank.

Seeing that I wasn’t moving, Brandon said, “Open it up. Let me explain it to you.”

I moved the mouse to open the document, but suddenly, I couldn’t find the file he had just pointed out.

“This one.” His hand landed on mine, and he moved the cursor to the file. He then clicked on my finger twice to open the file.

The file opened up, but the words were blurry to me. I felt as if Brandon just muted all my senses, and I couldn’t even hear what he was saying.

That was, until he asked me, “Do you understand?”

“No.” I tilted my body away from him. “Mr. Howell, you’re too close to me.”
