Ma'am, The World Is Waiting For Your Divorce

Chapter 1

Chapter 1

Mauve City, 10 p.m. at night.

The alluring moonlight shone on the city as it gradually got later into the night.

Jocelyn White woke up from her hangover. Her head hurt badly. She glanced at the interior design of the room and realized that she was in the double suite of the hotel that she often stayed in.

The celebratory gala of the municipal jewelry competition that her stepsister, Lily White, joined, was being held today. She did not expect herself to get drunk after having two glasses of alcohol.

She sat up and heard the vague sounds of a conversation from the room next door. She then got off the bed and walked outside.

The door of the suite next door was not closed. The door was open by a gap. Jocelyn was just about to reach her arm out to push the door open when she caught sight of the situation inside. She was then completely stunned.

A woman with blonde and wavy hair, which was splayed across her fair shoulder, had her arms wrapped around Jocelyn’s boyfriend, Howard Jung. The woman’s back was facing her.

Jocelyn felt like she had been struck by lightning.

The woman hooked her arms around Howard’s neck and spoke to him in a coquettish tone. Her clingy voice rang out, “Howard, how do you find me?”

Howard’s breathing grew unstable as he laughed and hugged the woman tight. The tone of his voice had changed. “Amazing…You’re simply amazing!”

Jocelyn was beyond familiar with the woman’s voice. That voice belonged to her stepsister, Lily White!

Lily chuckled lightly after hearing what Howard said. Her voice was extremely flirty. “Howard, since I’m so amazing, can you give me the design draft that Jocelyn White drew recently?” Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

Howard laughed as he rubbed Lily’s face. “You little minx, you’re always busy thinking about how to use up all of my resources!”

Lily laughed flirtatiously and spoke to Howard in an extremely coquettish tone, “Aww, that’s because I love you. Just tell me if you’ll give it to me!”

“Of course, I’ll give it to you!” Howard laughed in adoration. “I’ll even give you my life if you want it!”

“You promised me that you’ll marry me previously. Can we register for a marriage certificate tomorrow?” Lily rested her chin on Howard’s shoulder while listing down her requests as she hugged him.

Howard started to hesitate. “I lied to Jocelyn and got you all the award-winning design drafts that you’ve previously owned. If we get married now, Jocelyn will never give her design drafts to you ever again! You’ll be wasting such a bountiful resource!”

Lily huffed in anger. “No, I want to get married to you. Besides, the thing that you’re worried about isn’t a problem at all. My father already knows that both of us are together. He’s already discussing an arranged marriage between Jocelyn and the second young master of the Jones family!”

Howard touched the beautiful orbs of Lily’s earrings. “What if she doesn’t agree?”

Lily scoffed as her actions slowed down. “How is that possible? If she disagrees, my father has plenty of means to make her uncle’s company go bankrupt! If you’re afraid that she’d know about us, let’s get married in secret. Is that alright?”

“Alright, alright! I promise you!” Men could never resist such coquettish and flirtatious requests from women.

Lily immediately held Howard’s face in her hands and kissed him on the cheek with a loud smack. “Darling, I knew that you were the best. Tomorrow’s a good day. Shall we get our marriage certificate tomorrow?”

Lily’s arm traveled up Howard’s neck weakly. He could not resist her at all. He smiled faintly and nodded. “Sure!”

Both of them embraced each other passionately once again.

Tears streamed down Jocelyn’s face as she stood by the door. She had dated Howard for two years, and she had always looked forward to marrying him in the future.

While they dated, Howard kept giving her design drafts to Lily. He told her that he would always look after her, but Lily did not have a boyfriend. They should help her out in her career.

Blinded by love, she had listened to everything that Howard said. She could never bear to refuse any of the words that he said.

However, she would never have expected him to date her just to get his hands on her design drafts.

She was also the one that had drawn the designs that Lily had used to win the municipal jewelry competition this time around.

She had been extremely skilled in jewelry design since she was young. She could easily win grand prizes with the designs that she casually drew. This was something that plenty of people could never achieve.

She would comfort herself every time she gave her design drafts to Lily White.

It was alright. She was still young.

Never mind. Since she was capable, she could come up with better designs.

However, she did not expect her ability to just be a resource that could be used to help Lily in Howard’s eyes.

She found it even more unbelievable that her father had helped to keep their relationship a secret although he had known about them being together a long time ago. He even wanted her to marry the second young master of the Jones family!

Did he not know what a disreputable scumbag that man was?

However, even so, she could not just ignore her uncle.

Her mother had passed away a long time ago. Her uncle was her only remaining family member!
