Chapter 7 I Have No Interest in You
Chapter 7 I Have No Interest in You
"Did I say you can leave?" William looked at her mockingly. "I'm not interested in being kind to you. A
businessman always does an equivalent exchange."
Emma Lang's throat seemed to be blocked by something. It took a long time to find her voice. "What do
you mean?"
William's eyes swept over the nameplate on her chest and sneered, "Your patient is thirsty, will the kind
doctor pour some water for her patient?"
Emma Lang was stunned for a moment before she quickly reacted. "I'll go get it for you."
There was a Brita water jar in the room, so she quickly poured some water and went back. "Here you
go, let me know if you need anything else."
William Montgomery looked at her and frowned slightly.
William Montgomery didn't take the water from her hands. She had to hold the cup in mid-air.
"You're really considerate to your patients. No wonder you have male patients running after you."
Emma Lang's heart skipped a beat. She heard the sarcastic tone in his words and her heart gradually
sank. " As a doctor, I encounter all kinds of patients. I'll put the water here for you and take my leave
now."
She put the cup down on the bedside table. Before she could turn around, she suddenly felt a sharp
pain shoot up her wrist. She was pulled by force and she fell to the bed.
"Ah!"
Amidst the exclamation, a shadow came down on her.
When she realized what happened, William's face was already on top of hers. Age has been kind to
him, he looks almost exactly like he did 7 years ago, except now there's a clear look of disdain on his
face.
"Emma Lang, I have not seen you for 7 years. Your taste in men has clearly gone down. Are you so
desperate for money that you'll go for dirtbags? Are you not at all afraid of embarrassing the Lang
family?”
His sarcastic voice was like a needle pricking her eardrums. Sure enough, the person who you love the
most can hurt you the most.
Emma tried to struggle against William but he was too strong. Emma's face turned beet red and she
said angrily to him, "let me go William!"
William snorted coldly, freeing a hand, he touched her face, almost as if he was reminiscing about their
past together.
But in the end, he grabbed her chin tightly.
The sudden intense pressure made Emma frown in pain.
"Don't think too highly of yourself. I'm not interested in you at all. It's no wonder I've been feeling sick.
It's because you're back in Rock City and I'm breathing the same air as you."
Every word William said was like a stab to Emma's heart.
Emma clutched the bedsheet under her body and endured the pain in her body and mind, forcing
herself to make the calmest response. "Since you have no interest, then what are you doing now?
Don't forget that you're going to get married next month. If someone sees us like this it won't look good
for either of us. "
The calmer Emma sounded, the darker William's expression became. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
He hadn't seen her for 7 years, but she didn't feel any guilt towards him? How can she just move on
with her life as if nothing happened?
As soon as he thought of this, a fire seemed to burn in William Montgomery's chest, and the force
holding her tightened.
"Why didn't you care about your reputation when you decided to cheat on me and run away?"
