My Ex-wife's Hidden Personalities

Chapter 202 Knowing the Truth

Chapter 202 Knowing the Truth

Isabella followed Freya anxiously as they paced through the room.

“Just tell me the reason. Why did you say it’s because he loves me?” she uttered.

After checking the room, Freya finally led Isabella to the balcony, away from prying cars.

She took a deep breath, her voice slightly trembling. “Izzy, do you remember two years ago when I was at the Monaghans?”

“Yes, but what does this have to do with you at the Monaghans?” Isabella puzzled.

Freya composed her thoughts and continued, “At that time, you and Brax had just started dating. I didn’t understand but Brax seemed pretty unhappy about you drinking.”

After a moment of contemplation, Isabella nodded. “I nearly got into trouble because of it. Braxton came

to my rescue.”

Freya let out a sigh. “Yes, it was because of that incident.

“What do you mean?” Isabella looked at Freya, feeling confused.

Freya spoke carefully, concerned about how Isabella might handle the revelation.

“Izzy, I’m being transparent with you. Don’t blame yourself for what happened. It’s something between the two of you.”

An uneasy feeling began to gnaw at Isabella’s heart.

Freya hesitated for a moment before sharing the details of that fateful night..

“That person drugged you, and Brax got stabbed trying to save you. The injury- Freya hesitated. “His private part was hurt.”

Isabella’s face turned pale, as an overwhelming shock surged through her.

In an instant, she connected the dots.

Shaking her head, Isabella stammered, “No, that can’t be true. After that incident, Braxton disappeared due to his injuries, but he recovered soon after. Besides, when he was in the hospital due to the car accident, we-”

Isabella blushed, and she faltered, unable to continue her words.

Her hands clenched nervously, her gaze fixed on Freya.

Freya smiled gently. “Do you mean he’s still capable of doing that? Well, it’s true. While he didn’t suffer severe injuries, he is infertile”

The atmosphere seemed to freeze, and a gentle breeze brushed against the curtains by the balcony.

Isabella remained still, her voice trembling. “So, what does that mean?”

Freya let out a sigh “Brax doesn’t want to hold you back You know how much he values family, and he takes his responsibilities seriously. He believes you deserve a perfect family, one where you can have

children by the time you’re in your forties, so you won’t be left alone in your old age.” From NôvelDrama.Org.

Isabella lowered her head, grappling with the reality before her.

The question that had haunted her for so long, she never anticipated this as the answer.

She pressed her lips together, shielding her face with her hands.

Freya fell silent, understanding that this was something Isabella must navigate and embrace on her own.

Tears trickled through her fingers, and her voice trembled with emotion.

“So, does Braxton break up with me because of this?”

Freya’s heart ached as she looked at Isabella. Tears started to well up in her eyes.

She felt sorrow for Braxton too.

Trying to hold back her emotions, Freya understood that she couldn’t allow herself to be overwhelmed by sadness. Someone had to be there to offer solace.

“Yes, but truthfully, Brax didn’t want to hurt you. He tried to be decisive to break up with you, but the love he had for you persisted. When he heard about your potential marriage to Chris in Vroria, he couldn’t bear to see you marrying someone like him. That’s why he brought you back from Vroria,” Freya clarified, her lips gently pursed. “Perhaps he still wants you to have a happy and fulfilling life.”

“He’s unreasonable. Why does he want to take control of my life?” Isabella’s fists clenched.

Freya momentarily struggled for words.

Isabella’s voice quivered with sorrow, her face streaked with tears.

“It’s all my fault. Why is he keeping this from me: I never care about any of that. Freya, you don’t understand how much I love him. I don’t mind not having kids if it means being with him. I can do anything for him!”

Freya was taken aback.

She gently held Isabella’s hand, trying to comfort her. “Izzy, don’t think that way. You’re the most precious. person to Brax. I want you to protect yourself, and not isolate yourself like this. I want to see you living at better life.”

Isabella continued crying, wiping her tears occasionally, and releasing her frustration by pounding on the

table.

At times, she blamed herself for her love of alcohol and for not heeding Braxton’s advice, which led to him losing his ability to have children.

She wished she could disappear.

Yet, she resented Braxton for keeping this from her. She didn’t care about any of that, and they wouldn’t have been tormented over the years.

Freya watched, her heart heavy with sorrow.

After enduring this torment for two years, Isabella could only experience an emotional breakdown.

<

Freya didn’t stop her from venting; instead, she allowed her to release all the pent-up emotions, understanding that it was a necessary process of healing.

Slowly, Isabella’s emotions overwhelmed her, and she began to sob uncontrollably.

Loud echoes of her cries caught the attention of the maids.

Sitting on the balcony, Freya observed the gathering crowd in the courtyard.

Among them were Jonas, Ron, Emily, and the steward, all looking up at the balcony.

With Isabella in her arms, Freya politely acknowledged Jonas with a nod, reassuring him with a gesture.

Jonas fixed his gaze on Freya and then shifted his attention to his granddaughter Isabella, who was sobbing inconsolably.

Isabella was the only grandchild of the Parkers. She was destined to carry on the Parkers’ legacy.

Though Jonas was strict with Isabella, he held a deep affection for her in his heart.

Emily expressed her worry. “Why is Izzy crying? Did she fight with Frey? But if they did, why would she be sobbing in Frey’s arms?”

Jonas responded in a serious tone, “It’s alright. Just let her cry. I’m not sure what happened, but she should release her emotions than bottle them up. Hope the matter will be resolved soon.”

Isabella’s tears seemed relentless.

Feeling a sense of helplessness, Freya comforted her and led her to change her clothes and take a bath. before allowing the maids to tidy up the room.

Holding hands, they strolled through the backyard.

Isabella continued to shed tears with every step, burdened by thoughts of her and Braxton’s situation.

Understanding the depth of her pain, Freya knew that this matter could trigger a torrent of sorrow, and it might take days for her tears to subside.

After a moment of contemplation, Isabella looked at Freya with unwavering determination.

“Freya, I have to see Braxton. I want to let him know that even if he is infertile, I still want to marry him.”
