Both Ethan and Colin were scheming. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Before Colin could retort to Ethan, Abbot who stood beside them chimed in, "Ethan, isn't it immoral for

you to do so?"

Ethan raised his brows and asked, "Why?"

Abbot answered, "What-What if Ms. Rowan doesn't like you?"

Ethan looked at Abbot disdainfully as if he was looking at a fool. He said, "Did all lovers in the world fall

in love with each other at the first glance?"

Abbot was lost for words.

The likelihood of this situation was very little.

Not getting a response from Abbot, Ethan sneered and continued, "You still act restrainedly though you

know she doesn't like you. Are you waiting for a witch to bewitch her?"

Abbot was rendered speechless when he heard Ethan's words. He couldn't retort to him.

They were silent for several seconds. Ethan suddenly turned to look at Violet and asked, "Are you

going back home now?"

Violet had been wishing to leave. She nodded profusely when she heard the question.

Ethan said, "I can give you a ride."

Violet said with a forced smile, "Thank you."

Seeing Ethan and Violet off, Colin reached out, patted Abbot on his shoulder, and said, "Do you

remember Mr. Hudson? The person engaged in export trade."

Abbot asked, "That fatty man?"

Colin nodded and said, "He knows many Troycese. Let him introduce some to you later."

Abbot asked with a frown, "What do you mean?"

Colin said, "You can ask them to bewitch the girl you like for you."

Abbot cursed at him inwardly. He didn't say out because Faye was also present.

After a long while, Abbot pushed Colin and said, "It's late. Aren't you going home?"

Knowing what Abbot planned to do, Colin deliberately asked, "Faye didn't drink alcohol today. We can

give you a ride."

Abbot looked askance at Colin and asked, "Is there anything wrong with your brain?"

Colin chuckled and replied, "Yep. But it's not as serious as yours."

Abbot was rendered speechless.

After the joking, Colin winked at Abbot and left with Faye by car.

Standing on the stairs, Abbot silently smoked a cigarette. Then he took out his phone and called

Matthew.

When the call was gotten through, Abbot directly asked, "Are you in Marriott Hotel now?"

Matthew replied with a teasing smile, "I'm in my office. What's the matter? Do you miss me?"

Abbot said, "Of course. I miss you so much."

Abbot then directly ended the call without waiting for Matthew's response.

Several minutes later, Abbot showed up in Matthew's office.

Sitting before the office desk, Matthew was playing with a string of Buddha beads. Abbot could tell that

Matthew had played with the Buddha beads for years because all the beads were round and glossy.

Seeing Abbot, Matthew put the string of Buddha beads around his wrist, leaned back against the chair,

and asked with a meaningful smile, "Didn't you say you missed me? Why are you looking at me so

ferociously?"

Abbot said through gritted teeth, "I miss you so much."

Matthew asked nonchalantly, "Has your love for me transformed into hatred?"

Abbot asked, "Is there a possibility that I hate you because of the green dishes?"

Matthew teased, "Dishes?"

Abbot asked, "What do you think of it?"

Matthew curled up his thin lips into a smile and pretended as if he had only realized something, "Oh,

Ms. Black?"

When Abbot was about to say something, the phone in his pocket suddenly rang.

Abbot took out his phone from his pocket with a frown. When he found the Caller ID was Rebecca, he

paused, glanced at Matthew, and said, "I'll get even with you later."

He walked toward the door after finishing the words while swiping to answer the call. "Hello."

When the door of the office was slammed close, Matthew commented slowly, "Affection, oh, of what is

affection comprised? Everyone has his or her vanquisher."

On the other side...

Rebecca asked in a drunken voice when Abbot answered the call, "Did you go back?"

Abbot replied in a deep voice, "Nah."

Rebecca burped and said, "Where are you?"

Abbot asked her instead, "Is your business negotiation finished?"

Rebecca heaved a gentle sigh and said, "It's over. I failed."

Abbot said, "Go downstairs. I'm at the entrance."

After a short while, Abbot reached the entrance of the Marriott Hotel to wait for Rebecca. Rebecca

walked to him with a purse.

Abbot turned around when he heard the footsteps. Looking at Rebecca who could hardly maintain her

balance, he asked with a frown, "Why did you drink so much?"

Rebecca reached out and handed her pure to Abbot.

Abbot looked down at it, sensibly took it from Rebecca, and asked, "How much did you drink?"

Rebecca showed two fingers to him, waved them, and replied, "Two bottles of alcohol."

Abbot looked gloomy when he heard Rebecca's words. He didn't say anything.

Not getting a response from Abbot, Rebecca staggered forward and stood before Abbot.

Abbot's heart skipped a beat when he looked at Rebecca who was approaching him. He asked,

"Where should I send you back?"

Rebecca raised one of her high heels, stepped on one of Abbot's leather shoes, looked up at him, and

replied, "I want to visit your house."
