Chapter 44
Chapter 44
Celena fell to the ground. The blood from her wound dyed her white dress and the water around her red.
Liam’s eyes were bloodshot as he rushed up and held Celena in his arms with his shaking hands. Tears could not stop pouring down his
face.
“Celena! Why are you here? You should not have come!”
Celena puked out a mouthful of blood. She lay in Liam’s embrace while the raindrops dropped on her weakened body. Her face was as pale as a sheet.
She quivered as she held out her bloodied hand. She stroked Liam’s forehead lightly and said, “Liam, you hurt me seven years ago, and I lost everything. I have resented you. It was because of you that I lost everything. But I love you. I have been waiting for you for seven years. Liam, I have something to ask of you.”
“I’ll do it! I’ll do anything! As long as you’re unharmed!” Liam hurriedly answered, holding Celena tightly while looking sorrowful.
Seeing that Liam had agreed, Celena smiled and said softly, “Promise me that you will look after Jovie, and please look after yourself! Liam, I…love you… Tell Jovie that I love her very much…”
Celena’s voice got gradually softer. With the last word she uttered, her bloodied hand slipped off Liam’s face and fell to her side, creating a splash.
“No!!”
Liam kneeled in the rain while holding Celena. The rumbling of the thunder in the skies could not conceal Liam’s angry bellow!
He held Celena tightly while his whole body quivered. His anger could no longer be contained. His murderous intent was too overwhelming
for him to bear.
Liam let out a loud cry toward the skies with Celena still in his arms. It was like the roar of a dragon on a rampage. His rage pierced through the dark clouds in the sky. Even the muffled thunder seemed to have stopped out of fear!
The harrowing urge to kill was exuding out of Liam’s every fiber.
At that moment, the frightful air of death filled his surroundings. Liam stood up slowly like Death coming straight from hell with the blood- covered Celena cradled in his arms. His frosty eyes were seeing red
at that moment.
Liam was enraged!
Calum was standing behind him. With that, he let out a roar and knocked down the man before him with a punch. He took out a flare and shot it at the sky.
A ray of green light shot up, and a green dragon appeared in the sky. The rays from the green dragon illuminated the skies above Walker Mansion!
Everyone’s attention was captured by the green dragon in the air!
That image of the green dragon…
At that moment, rows of men who were here for a blood bath suddenly appeared in the Walker Mansion. These people harbored such ruthless murderous intent and power. At their appearance, the
Walkers’ men within ten meters of Liam were all taken down in the blink of an eye!
Once they cleared all of them, they ran toward Liam. One of them saluted and said, “Lawrence Chanter of The Igrargon, Pendragon
Warriors, reporting for duty, sir!”
Following closely was another figure that exuded a bone-prickling chill. He also saluted and greeted, “Eugene Chanter of The Igrargon, Pendragon Warrior, reporting for duty!” NôvelDrama.Org content rights.
At the sound of that, one by one, the figures saluted and greeted respectfully, “Mason Chanter of The Igrargon, Pendragon Warrior, reporting for duty!”
“Sean Chanter of The Igrargon, Pendragon Warriors, reporting for duty! ”
“Septimus Cole, reporting for duty!”
The crowd was even more horrified when they saw Calum and the others arrive. They knocked out another ten men and approached Liam again, all ready for battle.
Following the rest, they saluted and greeted respectfully, “Pendragon Warriors! Calum! Joseph! Albert! Victor! Reporting for duty, sir!”
