My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 2128

Chapter 2128

I had dealt with Aaron, but another mocking voice came from behind me.

"Yo, the protagonist couple of the entertainment headlines are back!"

Tobias was in a suit of golden pajamas, hopping down the stairs in his slippers.

After settling down on the couch next to me, he sat up straight all of a sudden, stretched his neck and inched closer to me, saying with a serious face, "Mrs. Roberts, I didn't expect you to be one entrapped by sexual desires!"

"Tobias!" I was so ashamed that I shouted his name out loud. I couldn't refute him, so I turned to Hendrix for help.

Sensing my gaze, Hendrix narrowed his eyes into slits as he picked up the teacup on the table as if nothing had happened. After taking a sip, he ordered slowly, "Minnie, please get Mr. Hayes a glass of dragon fruit juice."

"Dragon fruit?" Tobias repeated the word in a daze. In less than three seconds, his expression froze. He got up and ran to the bathroom like before, howling in pain as he sprinted, "Hendrix! The audacity you have! Ugh..."

This brought us great joy.

Tobias looked miserable, but Hendrix was as calm as a cat. He took a sip of tea with a poker face, set the cup on the tea table, looked at me and said, "See how effective that was? Did you get it?"

After I won a round, I was no longer as embarrassed as I had been just then. I nodded my head obediently. "Yeah, I'll do it myself next time." Dragon fruits could send Tobias off his edge. Well noted.

"Next time?" Tobias leaned against the wall and slowly walked over. "This is too much. I'd rather you just kill me. I won't allow you to torture me like this."

"You asked for it." I shrugged and plucked myself out. When dealing with people like Tobias, we had to defeat the enemy with one move. Although we had been home for some time, we saw no signs of Aurelia and the others. I asked Emma, "Where are Aurelia and Wynn?"

"It's a weekday, so they're at school,

of course. You should be glad that they're there now. Otherwise, they would've seen your glorious seen

moment on TV and the phone," Emma stated calmly, a hint of teasing in her words. It seemed she had become more eloquent at this after being with Aaron for a long time.

Of course, she had done this subconsciously. I could not blame her.

Those words, however, made sense. The unscrupulous media outlets had circulated the news regardless of its credibility, which could easily mislead what the children thought of this. After thinking for some time, I decided to get someone to deal with this. Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

"Hendrix, tell Evan to pull these magazine articles out. Don't let the children and their classmates see it."

This didn't matter to adults. After having been through so much, we were invulnerable. I was just worried about how this would affect the children.

Hendrix shook the phone in his hand. "I've just given the order. Don't worry. Aurelia won't hear anything about it."

Aaron asked in return, "Aurelia, Aurelia, have you forgotten that you have a son? Wynn's growth is equally as important. If you don't spend more time and effort on your son, who will inherit the Roberts Group in the future?"

I strongly suspected that Aaron wanted to make use of that opportunity to alienate Hendrix and Aurelia so that he, as an uncle, could return to his former position and rise to be the most important man in the heart of the little princess.

Essentially, a man and woman's nature were no different from one another. When one was jealous, they would do anything to gain the upper hand.

Hendrix, however, did not take this

to heart. Instead, he changed the subject by saying, "How I educate my children is none of your business. Some only have sons Since they aren't experienced in handling daughters, it's best not to make things worse."

In other words, he was poking at Aaron for not having a daughter.
