Chapter 2159
Chapter 2159
By the time I left the hospital, it was nine o'clock at night. Due to Irvin's suicidal tendencies, I had decided to stay back just to check on him. I then returned home with Hendrix.
When our car drove back into the estate, we spotted from afar, two sports cars in front of the house. They were cool and very fashionable. The black and red colors clashed aggressively. A little further ahead there was a business car which didn't look like it was from Roberts.
Only Aaron was fond of cars in our family, but he had always been discreet about it. I've never seen him bring his car friends over to the house, so this appeared to be an unexpected group of guests.
"Mr. Reid is a really interesting person. Since we get along so well, why don't you join us and make a lot of money with us?"
"That's a good idea. Let's make some money together!"
"Aaron, what do you mean by that? Explain yourself!"
When we were still at the doorway, we could hear a group of foreigners speaking with a heavy English accent. They were making a lot of noise.
I was shocked when I entered the room.
Some tall, dark-skinned men with ties and suits were standing by the couch in the living room. This was a rather amazing scene to behold. Aurelia was upstairs, lying at the edge of the stairs, peering through a gap. She gave me a mischievous look when she spotted me.
I shot her a warning look, signaling her to go back into her room. This had attracted the attention of those men.
"Oh, Miss Reid, you're back!"This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
I felt as if someone had just taken my attendance. I turned my face and met with the ingratiating group of people.
Black people were very tall, as evidenced by this man in a flowery shirt and tie with an exaggeratedly large gold chain around his neck. This man was half a head taller than Hendrix. He was so oppressive that I took a step back.
Before he managed to hug me, Hendrix's hands slid in between us, stopping the man from getting any closer.
A second later, Hendrix had stepped in front of me and completely separated me from the man.
He stared at him coldly, but already had an imposing posture even when he wasn't angry. He didn't say anything but everything he meant to say was written on his face.
Men were always able to tell how dangerous a certain region was in the shortest amount of time.
The black man clearly knew what Hendrix was capable of and didn't take advantage of his overly arrogant attitude. He was about to give Hendrix a hug, but then decided to shrug his shoulders and took two steps back.
"Come on, Mr Hendrix, we're partners, don't get angry." The black man smiled and brought his hand down. He extended another hand out like a gentleman and introduced himself, "I'm Lucas. We've been waiting for this moment for a very long time."
Hendrix looked down and glanced at his black hand and said, "Doesn't ring a bell.'
He had no intention of shaking hands with this man from the beginning.
After leaving his hand hanging for a while, Lucas awkwardly took his black hand back. His face gradually stiffened.
Hendrix ignored the man and turned around to escort me towards the couch. As he walked me over, he asked Aaron, "What's going on?"
Aaron took a deep breath and stood up. He pointed to a corner and said, "Lucas, Quinn."
He then turned around and noticed
the leader of the group who was sitting down. He was sitting in
between the mountainous Lucas et
and another short black man. We hadn't noticed because of his thin figure and the few men were
blocking his way.
This must be Quinn.
After a short pause, Aaron continued, "They're the leaders of Mesville's number one mafia, the Skull Organization."
Hopefully, this wasn't the Skull
this wa
Organization I knew - the one that

even Mesville's government couldn't do anything about. They were hardened criminals. They committed arson and murder and all sorts of crime that were punishable by law.
