Daddy?
The receptionists at the reception desk all stared and the crowd was whispering.
"Am I wrong? Isn't that Mr. Zellweger?"
"Yes. It's Mr. Zellweger."
"Bonny...called Mr. Zellweger 'Daddy'?"
"I heard that too."
The crowd was shocked.
The man who just got out of the car and entered the hall. Then Bonny hugged him. This man
absolutely was the president of Zellweger Group, Richard.
Ted was a little frightened as he stood next to Richard. "Mr. Zellweger."
The partners who came in with Richard to talk about business also looked at each other in confusion.
Everyone knew that Richard had a fiancee, but they hadn't had a wedding yet. When did he have such
a big daughter?
At this time, the calmness in the eyes of Richard disappeared a little. He looked down and stared at the
little girl who was dangling on his leg, slightly stunned, "Bonny?"
Bonny raised her head and smiled at Richard sweetly, "Daddy, Brandon and I have been waiting for
you for a long time."
Richard looked up in the distance and saw the little boy walking leisurely, carrying Bonny's ladybug
backpack in his hand. He was pursing his lips, with a calmness beyond his age, and looking at him too.
"Mr. Zellweger, are they your daughter and son?" One of the collaborators, Mr. Stewart, asked.
Richard came back to his senses, but he didn't explain much. He was indifferent and still cold, "Mr.
Stewart and Mr. Sherman, I'm sorry, I have something to deal with temporarily. Please wait for me in
the conference room for a few minutes."
"It's fine." They smiled and were very understanding.
Richard gave Ted a meaningful look.
Knowing that, Ted showed the way and invited them, "Mr. Stewart, Mr. Sherman, this way, please."
After they left, Richard quatted down slowly to match Bonny's height and asked, "Why are you here?
Where's your mom?"
"Mommy is working. Brandon and I were bored, so we came to play with Daddy."
Bonny smiled and her eyes were curved, as if there were stars in her eyes. Maybe he had just run too
fast, there was a thin layer of sweat on her forehead. Her bangs were wet. Her delicate and lovely face
seemed to be fresh fruit with dew.
Richard's cold face had also been melted, and his eyes were warm. He reached out his hand to Bonny
and said, "Let's go. I'll take you two upstairs."
Many employees gathered in the lobby. It was not the best place for them to talk.
"Hug hug." Bonny said to Richard in a spoiled voice.
...
At the front desk, the receptionists covered their mouths, showing an unbelievable look. They stared at
Richard as he picked up Bonny and allowed her to hug his neck.
Bonny kissed him on the cheek. With a gentle and doting face, he waved to Brandon and took them
into the elevator.
"God, I have never seen Mr. Zellweger smile."
"I knew it! The two children looked familiar. They must be Mr. Zellweger's kids."
"Really? But Mr. Zellweger and Miss Wood aren't married yet."
"Who knows? Maybe Mr. Zellweger got married before, but we don't know."
"Who cares? Bonny is cute, anyway."
......
The discussion made Heather frown. She looked at the number on the rising elevator and quickly typed
something on her phone, with two photos just taken, and sent them.
It was almost evening, and the crew in the suburb finished their work earlier today.
Pearl packed her stuff quickly and was in a hurry to leave.
"Dr. Yonng, we finished work earlier today, shall we have dinner together."
"Sorry, maybe next time. I'm afraid I'll miss the bus, and it's not easy to get a taxi around here." Pearl
refused his invitation politely and hurried out of the hospital.
Before, she did not expect the set was too remote that it would be difficult to get a taxi. She felt more
and more inconvenient after a few days. She was already planning to buy a car.
Shortly after she left the hospital, she heard a familiar voice behind her. "Pearl!"
Pearl stopped and turned around in a shock.
A white figure just came out from the left side of the entrance. He was over six feet tall and was very
gentle in a white coat. The frameless glasses on his nose added him a little warmth. He was smiling
at Pearl and said, "Long time no see."
"Alex?" Pearl was stunned.
At that time, Alex was her classmate in university. They were in the same class. Later, she went abroad
for furthur study. Soon, Alex also went with her. Before meeting Ethan, Alex took care of her a
lot. However, she did not want others to gossip about Alex, so she deliberately kept a distance to him.
But she was still grateful to him.
"What are you doing here?" After coming back to her senses, Pearl looked at him and asked.
Alex had returned to the country a year earlier than her. It was more than one year since they met last
time.
Alex adjusted his glasses and continued with a smile, "I'm here for an academic exchange, so I'll
probably be here for a while. I didn't expect to see you here. When did you come back? Why didn't you
contact me?"
"Just recently. I'm sorry, I was too busy with my work, so I didn't have the time to contact you."
"It's fine. Since we've known each other for years, don't need to be so polite." Alex glanced behind her
and added, "Are you here for the academic exchange too? I didn't see you in the meeting room just
now."
"No, I'm here to work as a medical expert on set," Pearl explained awkardly, "I'll also be here for a while
until the filming is over. We finished earlier today, so I'm heading home."
Speaking of heading home, Pearl suddenly remembered something, "ah, Alex, I have to go. I can't
catch the last bus back to the city if I'm late."
After that, she was about to turn to leave.
"Pearl, wait a minute. I drovehere and I can give you a ride." Alex called after her hurriedly.
Pearl was a little stunned.
Before she could think about it, Alex added, "I think the kids are here with you, right? I'm sure they're
waiting for you at home, so it's better for you to go home early. How late it is for the bus to go back to
the city. I'm off work anyway, and it's not that far, soyou don't have to think about it."
She could not refuse him any more after his word. If she did, it would look like she was hiding from
him.
"Ok. Well." Pearl chuckled, "I troubled you a lot when we were abroad."
"You regarded me as an outsider. I didn't do a lot when we were abroad. Ethan helped you solve
everything. You never needed me."
For some unaccountable reason, Alex's words sounded a little bitter. Pearl felt not comfortable when
she heard that.
