Yin Youting put the popcorn in the middle of their seats. He turned to Qin Muxuan and stared at her. The woman felt that his ardent eyes were glued to her. In order to avoid unnecessary embarrassment, she fixed her eyes on the screen.

Qin Muxuan became relieved inwardly. She started to enjoy the movie. However, she suddenly realized that it was a romantic film in which the leading roles smooched from time to time. The scene fretted her.

She flushed and her eyes slid out of focus. What was worse, she suddenly found the couple before them were French kissing. Qin Muxuan clenched her hands. The popcorn in her arms made a cracking sound.

However, Yin Youting was composed. He appreciated the movie in silence. Seeing that, Qin Muxuan pondered that she overreacted.

Qin Muxuan reminded herself that they were friends. ‘We just hang out and watch a movie together.’ Thinking about that, Qin Muxuan slowly calmed down.

As time went by, Qin Muxuan was lost in the movie. The storyline was touching and left her with a lump in her throat. Tears streamed down her face.

Yin Youting turned to Qin Muxuan but noticed her tears. He smiled helplessly, stretching out his hand to wipe her tears away. “What’s wrong?” He asked in a low voice.

Qin Muxuan gathered her wits immediately. She roughly rubbed her eyes with her hands. “The movie’s impressive.” The woman forced a smile.

Hearing that, Yin Youting didn’t say anything. He held her little hand. It seemed that he was trying to console her.

The movie ended soon. Holding her hand, Yin Youting stepped out of the cinema. They strolled along the street. The man had no intention to return home. Qin Muxuan didn’t ask. She followed Yin Youting’s steps, roaming along the road.

After he checked the time, Yin Youting turned to Qin Muxuan. “Let’s go.”

After saying that, he led Qin Muxuan to a square which was not far away before she could react. The square was crowded when they arrived. Most of the people were couples.

Yin Youting protected her in his arms, leading her in.

Qin Muxuan found there was a fountain when they went deep into the square. Yin Youting cast a coin into the pool. “Make a wish.”

Qin Muxuan gaped at Yin Youting. From the corner of her eye, she noticed people around them threw coins into the pool and made wishes with their eyes closed.

Seeing that, Qin Muxuan clasped her hands and closed her eyes. Although she understood that she could never realize her wish, she meditated. ‘I hope Gu Zijin and I could be back to the past.’

Qin Muxuan taunted herself after she opened her eyes. ‘Am I daydreaming?’

“Youting, let’s go home.”

Yin Youting grinned at Qin Muxuan, nodding. “Okay.”

After the fountain stopped spouting water, people left. Yin Youting led Qin Muxuan towards his car. He helped her fasten the seatbelt when they got in the car. The man slowly started the engine. The car then cruised to their home.
