Chapter 152 Misunderstand Blanca
Chapter 152 Misunderstand Blanca
Matthew frowned and his arm around Blanca tightened a little. He gave Peter a curt nod and then
looked at Blanca. “Are you tired now? Let’s go home,” he said gently.
“But … I…” Blanca said, avoiding Matthew’s eye. She took the hint that Matthew wanted to keep her
away from Peter, but she was hesitant to obey him this time, for she really liked painting and didn’t
want to miss her chance.
When she saw Peter give her a hearty wink, Blanca made a decision. She took a deep breath and
finally got the courage to say, “Peter is the last student of Mr. Butler and he’s willing to teach me. I must
take this opportunity and l would like you to support me on this.” Blanca said and shook his arm, trying
to convince him.
Blanca knew those words would probably upset Matthew, but she had no other choice in this matter, for
painting was her dream. To her surprise, Matthew said, “If you want to learn to paint, I can get you a
better teacher, one of the most famous teachers. I could even try to convince Mr. Butler to teach you!
So, now, we should go home first, Blanca.” There was a hint of anger and majesty in his voice.
Upon hearing this, Blanca’s eyes were suddenly over bright, for Matthew’s words seemed a very
enticing offer, but on second thought, she felt a few passing doubts. Matthew knew nothing about her
dream, but Peter knew it!
What if Matthew deceived her? What if he was just saying this to get her leave Peter? At this thought,
Blanca looked down at the floor with disappointment, but she didn’t have the courage to say no. She RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
saw people coming and going at the party and knew her identity. She was not only Blanca, but also the
wife of Matthew and Mrs. Grant. She represented the honor of the Grant family at this moment.
“I’m leaving now. See you next time, Peter,” Blanca said, and managed a smile.
Matthew noticed the disappointment on her face and misunderstood that Blanca hated to leave Peter.
At this thought, Matthew looked at Peter coldly and frowned more deeply. His anger showed clearly in
his face. Actually, he was good at hiding his emotions, but it seemed that he could not do that again
after he was with Blanca. Come to think of it, even Matthew himself was surprised. He wondered if he
fell in love with Blanca, but he immediately denied it. It was impossible for him, for he thought he just
wanted to took advantage of her.
As Matthew and Blanca walked out of the hall, a gust of cold wind stung Blanca’s face. Her sleeveless
dress was not enough against the cold weather. So, she hugged her arms against the chill. Her arms
were white and delicate, which made Matthew want to feel how soft the skin was.
He noticed that Blanca looked quite depressed. “Are you missing Peter already?” he sneered.
“What do you mean, Matthew?” Blanca could make neither head nor tail of this question. All she
thought about just now was how to get in touch with Peter. She needed to seize this opportunity to
make her dreams come true. She had heard the sarcasm in his voice, but she didn’t know why.
“Don’t play dumb, Blanca. You know what I’m talking about, but remember who you are!” said Matthew
sarcastically. Upon hearing this, Blanca was too incensed to speak. In order to vent his feelings,
Matthew was trying to provoke Blanca. “Peter is still there. If you want to go back, I won’t stand in your
way,” he continued.
