Chapter 329 The Fight
Chapter 329 The Fight
Standing at the gate, Stefan got a good look at their faces.
The strongest one was called Carter who, in a black jacket, was supposed to be the leader of them. Carter stood aside to command the others who were carrying stuff, much slimmer than Carter like drug addicts.
“Why are you so late? Come on, give a hand.”
At a glimpse of Stefan, Carter said, “Don’t you want the warehouse to be vacant at once? Quickly!”
Stefan nodded and walked in.
“It’s so strange. This time you even help us.” Carter was doubting his behavior.
After moving a box, Stefan counted the cargos of drugs in the trunk, thinking that those smugglers would spend the rest of their lives in prison.
“Alfred said that we needed to sell those out as soon as possible before the festival, and then another batch of cargos would be produced for the next year as the first business.”
Carter’s voice sounded in front of the car and his staffs were echoing his opinions warmly.
Stefan noticed that there were tools of making drugs at the corner of the warehouse, including measuring cups and the tubes. Those people produced and sold the drugs by themselves so they must gain huge profit.
Concentrating on the profit, he was called by someone through the earphones.
“Where are you?”
Five minutes ago, he sent the signal to Stella who, however, failed to receive probably because of the smugglers’ phone jammer. But now he got the signal from Stella.
Stefan lowered his voice, “There’re six men here, in the warehouse.”
“We will arrive soon.”
Suddenly, Stefan’s shoulder was patted by Carter, who questioned him, “Who are you talking to?”
At this moment, Stefan was thinking quickly and when he was ready to explain for himself, someone shouted from the washing room.
“Carter, there’s something wrong. Bowen is tied here.”
Before Carter reacted, Stefan got rid of his arms and stabbed him forcefully with a knife.
Carter screamed painfully and squatted covering his belly.
The other men in the warehouse ran out swiftly. When they noticed Carter was wounded, the next thing they knew was that Stefan was their enemy and they shouted, “Don’t him go. Kill him!”
Together with the one in the washing room, there were five men attacking Stefan.
Although he was considered as the excellent student of the University of Public and Security, he was not good at fighting as Stella had ever said before.
On watching them rushing towards him, he looked for the powder from his pocket at once.
Before he set out, he got some powder that would provoke allergic reactions, which could blind them despite taking time to be effective. Unfortunately, he failed to find it and remembered that the powder was in the coat which was covered on Bowen by him to keep him warm enough.
At this moment, several shots rang out from the southeast corner of the warehouse.
Stefan was squatting low with the head covered by his hands, expecting that he would be hit by those people, one of whom, however, was kicked out onto the floor, yelling for the wound on the arm.
Stefan raised his head to find that Stella was stepping on the man’s face like a heroine, who looked at him and asked,
“Are you ok?”
“Yes.” He shook his head and stood up against the door of the car.
Three minutes later, five men together with Bowen were all commanded to squat at the corner, watched by two members of Stella’s team who were pointing to them with a gun fiercely.
Actually, only the members knew that the guns were the fake ones for the drill, which could merely be used to make some sounds and hit others like bricks.
“Is everything here?” Stella looked at the paper boxes in the trunk.
Stefan nodded, “Yes. They are the same as those we saw before.”
Hearing this, Stella unwrapped one of the boxes by a knife and was surprised at what were in it.
“What?”
What she found were a box of cartoon watches.
Stefan frowned and opened the rest boxes, all of which were filled with the same watches.
Stella looked at him speechless.
Stefan became so angry that he threw the boxes away, held his sharp knife towards the men and grasped Carter’s collar, asking,
“Where are the drugs?”

“Tell me the truth at once.” Stefan slapped in his face directly, “Where are the drugs?”
“Sorry, I don’t understand what you mean.” Carter looked innocent, “Drugs? It’s illegal. We won’t sell them. We are the businessmen who just sell toys. I think you have wronged us.”
“What the fuck!”
Stefan became furious but was controlled by Stella.
“Ok.” Stella frowned, asking, “But if you just sell toys, why did you run away from us at the sight of us? Besides, how can you rent this big house by these toys?”
It’s apparent that to rent the warehouse needed loads of money for it was located in the Chengdong District, rather close to the center of city. In addition, without Bowen, they could not use it since it was exclusive to a certain group.
Therefore, it’s impossible for them to rent the warehouse to place some valueless toys.
“I didn’t tell the lie. Let me show you.”
Carter was examining Stella’s facial expression.
“Ok.”
Stella gave him a glare and said, “Open it one by one.”
The toys were not just toys.
Carter walked to the car with hesitation, unpacked the nearest box, took out a watch and opened it in front of Stella and Stefan.
“Look! They are normal.”
When Stefan came closer to him, a sharp knife appeared in front of Stefan.
“Be careful!”
Before he had time to avoid it, he was pulled away by Stella.
Stella grunted and looked extremely painful but she instantly snatched the weapon from Carter’s hand. Carter was then kicked over on the ground, who was cuffed by the fellows.
“Madam, are you ok?”
Stella shook her head with sweats dropping from her forehead.
Stefan noticed that the blood was shedding from her belly through the fingers pressing the wound to the snow field and then disappeared quickly. His face whitened visibly.
“Stella, you are hurt.”
“Madam…”
“All of you deal with them and the toys. I think we need to inspect the watches. I now send her to the hospital.”
Then he carried Stella on his back, leaving in a hurry.
At the snowy night, a girl who had been strong and brave for 19 years was held on a young man’s back and smiled on the way to a hospital, “Don’t be so nervous. I am fine. It’s true. The wound is not even as severe as those I got from the exercises.”
“Shut up.” Stefan was breathing shortly and quickly, running faster.
“They are not the same. This time, you suffer from the pain for me.”
“What if I die?”
Stefan was stunned, asking anxiously, “But you said you were fine just now.”
“Oh, it’s a guess.” Stella’s voiced gradually trailed away and she asked him casually, “Stefan, I remembered you just called my name…”
“…”
