Chapter 10
Chapter 10 Do What You Want To Do
In the past few days, Anaya had been accompanying Adams in the hospital. Adams felt very strange.
“Anaya, did you quarrel with Joshua?”
naya denied it. “No, grandpa. Just take care of yourself and don’t worry.”
Then she handed the peeled fruit to Adams. “Aracely asked me to bring you this fruit. I heard that it was imported. from Laos and is very nutritious.”
She did not want to tell Adams what happened between Joshua and her. Adams couldn’t force her to say it but only sighed. “If you feel aggrieved, come back. Joshua is not the only man in the world. Don’t be too stubborn.”
Anaya joked, “Other people’s elders hope their younger generation has a happy marriage, but you have always advised me to break up with Joshua.”
“Because Joshua treats you badly…”
As Anaya and Adams chatted, someone knocked at the ward door. Then Cecilia and Joshua walked in.
Anaya’s smile immediately disappeared.
“Mr. Dutt, are you feeling better? I’ve been too busy lately, so I haven’t come to visit you. Please forgive me,” Cecilia brought a lot of gifts and said with a smile.
Adams didn’t have a good impression of the Maltz family. He sneered, “You don’t have to come to see me. I can’t
accept your gifts.”
Cecilia did not feel embarrassed. She put the gift aside and pulled Joshua to the bedside.
She was about to speak when Anaya stood up, “Mrs. Maltz, you have something to say to me, right? Let’s go out to talk”
After marrying Joshua for a year, Anaya knew that Cecilia was too proud.
Anaya knew that Cecilia came here today to persuade her not to divorce Joshua and to continue her seemingly harmonious marriage with Joshua.
“We can talk here.” Cecilia smiled gracefully.
Cecilia wouldn’t go out with Anaya.
She came to the hospital to ask Adams to persuade Anaya.
She thought Adams had outdated ideas, and would not easily allow Anaya to divorce Joshua.
Anaya could ignore what she said, but could not go against Adams’s words.
Cecilia continued to say, “Joshua and I came to pick you up. He shouldn’t have done that to you the other day. He is sorry. Just forgive him and go back with us.”
Cecilia usually spoke to Anaya with pride Anaya, but it was the first time she spoke to Anaya so kindly.
Anaya knew Cecilia’s intentions and felt angry.
Cecilia wanted to use Adams to force Anaya.
Adams had a bad heart and couldn’t be stimulated. Anaya couldn’t argue with Joshua here.
“Let’s go out to talk.”
Cecilia looked at Anaya with a smile and didn‘t reply.
“I can go back with you, but you should go out to talk with me.” Anaya clenched her fist.
Cecilia was satisfied and was about to go out with Anaya.
After a long silence, Adams said, “Anaya, did you move out of the Maltz‘s house?”
Anaya curbed her anger and smiled. She wanted to reassure Adams. “Yes. I quarreled with Joshua before, but it‘s all over.”
Adams kmew Anaya was forced to agree to go home withi Joshua and Cecilia.
Joshua must have hurt Anaya. But she doesn‘t want me to worry, so she doesn‘t tell me what happened between Joshua and her.
Cecilia deliberately came to the hospital because she wanted to use me to force Anaya not to divorce Joshua.
Adams was silent for a moment, and his feelings were mixed. “Anaya, I can‘t protect you, but I don‘t want to drag you down. You can do whatever you want without thinking about me.”
When Anaya heard this, she was nervous. “Nothing really happened...” NôvelDrama.Org is the owner.
Cecilia misunderstood Adams and thought that he was supporting Anaya‘s divorce. “Mr. Dutt, did you already know that Anaya is going to divorce Joshua?”
When Cecilia said this, everyone present responded differently.
Anaya was worried that Adams would fall ill. She quickly denied, “Grandpa, Mrs. Maltz didn‘t mean that. Joshua and I just...”
Before she could finish her words, Adams suddenly laughed. “I‘m glad you will divorce him...”
In fact, in the past few days, Adams probably guessed that Anaya might have divorced Joshua.
Joshua had an uncertain temper and wouldn‘t care about Anaya,
When Anaya insisted on marrying Joshua, Adams didn‘t agree.
In the year after Anaya married Joshua, she pretended to be very happy in front of Adams, but Adams knew she was very sad.
Adams had long known that Joshua was not for Anaya. Because Anaya loved Joshua very much, Adams had to agree to let her marry him.
Cecilia was surprised. “Mr. Dutt, do you understand me?
“Anaya wants to divorce Joshua! The Maltz fainily and the Dutt family‘s reputation will be greatly affected!”
Adams snorted, “At that time, I was willing to lend you two–thirds of Riven Group‘s working capital to make Anaya happy. Do you think I would care about the so–called reputation?
“Anaya is my granddaughter. I have spoiled her since she was born. I agreed to let Anaya marry Joshua, but he hurt her and made her sad! I‘m very happy that Anaya will divorce Joshua.”
Adams‘s son and daughter–in–law died early, and the only thing he cared about now was Anaya.
He didn‘t care whethier others thought he doted on Anaya too much or thought he was stupid.
As long as Anaya could be happy, it would be worth it even if he died for her.
Anaya’s eyes were red. She closed her eyes and was silent for a few seconds. When she opened her eyes again, her eyes were firm and clear. “Mrs. Maltz, Joshua and I must divorce. Please go back.”
With Adams’s support, she became more determined.
he must divorce Joshua.
Anaya has decided. Cecilia had no other way to prevent her divorce. She had to put down all of her arrogance and persuaded Anaya.
She would rather lose face in front of Anaya than let people gossip about the Maltz family.
“Anaya, I know that you want to divorce Joshua because of Lexie, but Joshua and Lexie are just friends. He didn’t cheat, so you don’t have to divorce him for an outsider.”
One year after Anaya married Joshua, this was the first time Cecilia called her that.
Anaya sneered, “Mrs. Maltz, I felt betrayed after Joshua’s emotional infidelity. He thinks about another woman every day. I’m sad and worried.”
Cecilia was speechless.
Anaya continued to say, “Lexie has returned to the United States now. Maybe Joshua will have sex with her. How can I rest assured?”
Cecilia guaranteed, “Don’t worry about that. Although Lexie has returned, Joshua has already promised me that he will not contact Lexie again.”
Joshua never said this to Cecilia at all, but she had to lie to persuade Anaya.
Just as Cecilia finished speaking, Joshua’s cell phone rang.
Ever since Joshua entered the ward, he has worn a long face. He stood aside and said nothing.
At this time, everyone noticed him.
“I’m going out to take a call.”
“From Lexie?” Anaya asked.
Joshua did not deny it.
Cecilia felt very embarrassed and scolded, “Don’t answer the phone!”
Joshua was angry that Cecilia forced him to visit Adams. When he heard this, he said impatiently, “Just now, Lexie texted me that she had a stomachache…”
Anaya sneered, “Doesn’t she have legs? Won’t she go to the hospital by herself?”
Joshua glanced at Anaya and did not answer. Then he walked out of the ward.
