Chapter 3013
“Liberty, it's very late. You should turn in. I'll go back to my room to sleep too. Let's have breakfast together tomorrow morning.” Duncan's voice was a little hoarse. Liberty took the initiative to kiss him on the cheek. “Goodnight, Duncan.” “Goodnight.” Liberty wheeled him out. Then he wheeled himself back to his room. The smile on his face simply could not be restrained. It was very sweet. The rest of the night passed silently. It was the early morning of a weekend. There was no need to go to work. Coupled with the sudden cold weather, even Zachary who was usually an early riser did not feel like getting up. He stayed in bed, acting as a heater for his beloved wife. The drop in temperature in Wiltspoon made it feel so very cold, but it was actually only around fifty degrees Fahrenheit. It was predicted to reach a high of sixty degrees in the daytime. For Wiltspoonians though, this was already considered extremely cold weather. Many hurried to buy thick winter clothing online. The vendors also quickly shipped their orders out, afraid that in a few days, their customers would cancel their orders once the weather changed again in another few days when the cold winter winds headed south and warmth would return. By then, there was no longer a need to wear thick clothing. The heater was not turned on in Serenity and Zachary’s room. Even during the coldest few days, Zachary refused to turn the heater on. He would not do it. If he did, his wife would feel hot and would not snuggle into his arms. Only the Lord knew just how much he loved the feeling of his wife snuggling into his arms on her own accord. He had better not let Serenity find out about this, lest she called him devious again. Beep, beep— Serenity’s phone rang incessantly as she received new texts. She was woken by the noise but did not feel like moving and said to the man holding her, “Babe, can you help me check who it is that's spamming me texts at this ungodly hour? It's so noisy.” Zachary said, “I'm guessing it's Sonny.” “Sonny's with his mommy. He wouldn't be texting me this early. He might even still be sleeping.” Serenity did not even open her eyes as she spoke. She was still sleepy. It was the weekend. Of course, she had to sleep in and rest well so she could do her best at work the following week. Zachary said as he picked her phone up, “It's past eight. It's not that early anymore. In the summer you usually get up at six plus forarun.” “It's past eight?” Serenity opened her eyes. She sat up but quickly laid back down and rolled toward him as she said, “It feels much colder today than yesterday.” “The weather forecast says that for the recent cold spell, it'll be the coldest today. It'll be warm again by next Tuesday.” Zachary glanced at her phone and said, “Liberty sent a photo.” “What photo?”

Serenity knew Kevin had taken Hayden on a vacation. Sonny grumbled straightforwardly that he had come too late to see Uncle Kevin and could not go with him on holiday. This resulted in a comment from Liberty that he had the makings of a third wheel in him. A third wheel? Oh, that was right. Uncle Zak often called him that. He even said he was the type that was all accessorized with glowing, blinding lights. Sonny did not even know that he could glow.
