Chapter 611 No Mercy
Chapter 611 No Mercy
Alicia was brought down from the roof by Macy.
She hurriedly ran toward Henry.
Henry was overjoyed when he saw Alicia running toward him. He stood up to run toward her as well.
Henry asked, "Are you okay?"
Alicia replied, "I'm fine. Are you okay? Did you get shot?"
"You must've been scared silly. I wouldn't have been able to stand up if I was shot."
"That's good to hear. We're safe now."
Alicia felt as if everything that had happened to them was just a nightmare.
And the nightmare was finally over.
She had thought that she would die in the hands of Robert, that she wouldn't survive to see another
day.
Caspian's arrival had finally saved Alicia and Henry from certain death.
Macy came to Caspian's side and asked, "Lord Caspian, are you okay?"
Caspian calmly replied, "I'm fine."
Macy noticed that Caspian's clothes had holes in them, and his arm was bleeding. She realized that he
was injured from the fight with Robert.
Macy asked, "Lord Caspian, should I get a doctor? Just in case your wounds get infected."
Caspian waved his hands and replied, "It's nothing. Just a few minor injuries."
Alicia had also noticed that part of Caspian's arm kept bleeding profusely.
She knew that he suffered the injury when he was attempting to rescue her.
Alicia was overwhelmed with emotions as she thought about how Caspian had saved her through
enemy lines.
She recalled how she had always treated Caspian and was ashamed of her past doings.
If only Alicia had known that Caspian was so powerful, she wouldn't have insulted him and would've
treated him better.
She wondered why someone as powerful as Caspian would choose to marry Willow and willingly be
branded as a lowly matrilocal son-in-law.
Unless Caspian was willing to do it just for Willow.
While Alicia was still deep in her thoughts, members of Phoenix Vanguard had already entered the
Hudson residence. They rounded up all members of the Hudson family.
Dozens of men and women, including the domestic help, were brought out of the house.
They ran back into the house earlier when they realized that Vadesia forces would be losing the battle.
They all went into hiding inside the house that they had prepared prior to the war.
But they were still found and captured by Phoenix Vanguard.
The Hudsons were all trembling with fear and couldn't even walk straight while being brought out of the
house.
They became terrified when they saw the corpses of Vadesian soldiers littering the ground. They were
worried that they might be joining them soon.
Richard was so frightened that he could no longer control his bladder.
The Hudsons had assumed that defecting to Vadesia would promise them a brighter future and they
could one day rival Caspian.
They never would have guessed that Robert would meet his end so soon. He never even stood a
chance against Caspian in the first place.
Grant started to realize that Alicia was right, and he started to regret committing treason against his
own country. He felt immensely remorseful that a woman like Alicia was more righteous and patriotic
than he was.
His mistake of a decision was about to end up destroying the Hudson family.
The Hudsons were soon brought before Caspian.
One of the Phoenix Vanguard members asked, "Lord Caspian, your orders?"
Caspian coldly declared, "Just lock them up somewhere. We still need to drive our enemies out of
Southlake City as well as capture the Archer family. We'll deal with both parties at the same time with a
public execution as tribute to our fallen comrades."
He didn't want to execute the Hudsons just yet.
He wanted to deal with the enemy troops first before dealing the punishment for the traitors.
The Hudsons lost their marbles after listening to what Caspian said.
Some of them fainted on the spot, while some of them crumbled onto the ground and began to cry.
"Don't kill me! Please don't kill me!"
"Caspian, we've realized our mistake! Please give us another chance!"
The Hudsons tried to beg for mercy.
Caspian coldly answered, "Why defect if you knew this was going to happen? I have no mercy for
traitorous bastards!"
The Hudsons fell into despair.
Richard turned to Alicia to ask her for mercy instead. "Alicia, save me, please! I'm your husband! Do
you really want to see me sentenced to death by Caspian?"
Alicia angrily shouted, "Richard, you bastard! You just said you wanted a divorce yesterday and even
tried to offer me up to Robert just to gain his favor. Why would I save a scumbag like you?"
"I was just kidding! And Robert didn't touch you or anything anyway! We're still husband and wife. I'll
treat you better from now on!"
"Enough nonsense! Do you think I'm an idiot? You beat me up so badly with the iron whip earlier.
You're only asking me for mercy now because Robert is dead!"
Richard continued to beg, "I'm so sorry, darling. I've learned from my mistakes. Please just spare my
life!"
Caspian suddenly walked up to the couple. "In your dreams, Richard. There's no mercy for those who
committed treason."
Richard finally lost all hope.
Caspian no longer wanted to talk with the Hudsons. "Bring them away!"
Henry was also frightened as he watched the scene unfold before him.
He had also harbored thoughts of committing treason, and he still had Kenzie's contact information. He
began to wonder if Caspian would let him get away with this.
His thoughts were quickly confirmed as Caspian continued, "Bring Henry along and lock him up as
well!
Henry immediately lost all his strength and crumbled onto the ground.
Alicia was also shocked by the sudden news.
She had assumed that Caspian had already spared Henry to have saved him in the first place.
Henry sheepishly asked, "Caspian! Are you trying to kill your own family? Why lock me up as well?"
Caspian replied, "Do you think you've fooled me? I know that you had gotten in contact with enemy
agents alongside Richard and Nicholas to defect to Vadesia. " NôvelDrama.Org owns this.
"But I never committed treason! It was just a thought! At least I didn't actually do anything like the
Hudsons!"
"What you said may be true, but to have the thought of betraying your country is already grounds for a
death sentence. You won't be getting away with this."
"But, Caspian! I'm your wife's cousin, you know? Can't you please spare my life? For Willow's sake?"
"The law isn't concerned about our relationship, and it won't care about your explanations. Be honest
for once in your life and accept your punishment."
