The Alphas And The Orphan

Star POV

I stare at Kurtis; I open my mouth, but no words come out. Liam Danvers was in Bridford last week. Why was he here?

Ace rubs my back, “we need to talk to dad about this, see if he has heard anything from other packs.”

Snuggling in further to Ace, I ask, “do you think he saw the storm, s**t what if he knows I’m here?”

Oliver leans forward with his forearms resting on his knees, “Luna, we will not let anyone get close to you. I promise, Jonah, do you think we need to add Luna duty to the roster? Make sure she has several warriors with her at all times.”

I sigh with displeasure, and Lexi chuckles, “after feeling her release some of her aura yesterday, I think she can protect herself, but I would feel better knowing that at least one of us is close by just in case.”

Everyone stares at us. Max is the first to speak. “what about her aura? Star, do you have your Luna aura already?”

f**k, we left that out of the explanation earlier. I explained that the triplets were not listening to me and Saffron got angry and made them submit to us.

Kurtis paled, “that was you, I nearly had a heart attack, one minute I was trying to get in Sophia’s pants and the next we were both on out knees pinned to the floor, I though the moon goddess was punishing me for wanting to f**k all the time.”

Sophia punched him, her face bright red. “did you have to say what we were doing? You could have said we were watching a f*****g movie a*****e, you are definitely on the couch tonight, buster.”

Silence fills the room until I can’t hold my laughter any longer. The look on Kurtis’s face, before long everyone but Kurtis and Sophia were rolling on the floor in peels of laughter.

Sophia looks at us all. “bunch of assholes, the lot of you.” That makes us all laugh even harder.

Before long, the guys leave, and we head to have lunch.

I find myself on Alexei’s lap again while Ace and Ash fill us with all plates of food. Once they are sitting, I begin talking to Alpha and Luna about what I would like to do with my aunt, uncle, and cousin. We can’t just keep them locked up forever.

Alpha Andrew and the boys are not fully sold, but Luna Amanda smirks at me.

“Now that is a punishment only a woman would come up with, I love it, I was little worried that if we let them leave, they may know enough about you to become a danger, especially if Liam is definitely back, in the area.”

With that decided, we will go to the cells after lunch and give them the verdict.

I leaned back on Lexi and continued to devour my food, my appetite has really increased since I woke up, if I carry on like this then I will get fat, although my boys are making sure I get plenty of exercise, f**k just thinking about them is making me wet.

Lexi nuzzles my neck. “what are you thinking about, baby? Your p***y is wet. I can smell it. Do you need something?” I flush bright red.

Both Ace and Ash have noticed and are looking at me with l**t filled gazes. “Nope, too much to do this afternoon. We have to sort out the Fullers, and then Max and Suzie are going to make me beautiful for my mystery date.”

Asher licks his lips, and smirks at the other two, “make sure you pack an overnight bag goddess. We will head straight to school in the morning.”

Ace gives him a push. “You’re taking her away overnight? We didn’t have an overnight date.” Ash smirks at him. You guys will have to up your game in the romance department then, won’t you? It’s not just about getting Starlight naked for me.”

I step in and calm them down before they get violent, these boys are so competitive, “I am sure we can all have one-on-one nights away, it’s actually a great idea, it’s better than just banning two of you from our bedroom for the night.”

After we finish eating, we head to the cells. The first person we go and see was my cousin Sebastian.

He looks like a little boy. He is sitting on his bed with his knees drawn up to his chest. His head snaps up when we open his cell. I make everybody stay outside while I speak to him.

“Star? Your ok? I thought they had killed you this time. I’m sorry I didn’t know they would go that far.”

I stare at him. “yes you did Seb. You always knew that it would escalate, and one day they would kill me. But now we need to work out what to do with the three of you.”

A look of pure fear flashes across his face. “Did you know I found my mate Seb?” He shakes his head, but smiles, “that’s so good Star, he can take you away from them, keep you safe.”

“They can. They can keep me safe. I am mated to the triplets, Seb. I am your future Luna.”

His eyes widen, and a look of fear passes across his face. “Seb Alpha Roman has left your future in my hands, my first proper duty as Luna, and I want to be a fair and just Luna.”

Tears run down his face as he nods, “so I have decided that I am going to save you from them too.”

His head snaps up, uncertainty clouding his face. “You will move into the pack house on the warrior floor, and you will begging warrior training, it will teach you discipline, but also give you the knowledge that you never have to go to bed scared that someone will come after you in the night.”

He looks at me, his bottom l*p trembling, “you were as scared as I was Seb. I just hope that you use this opportunity and it will instill the courage in you. So if the time comes when you see someone being abused, you will step in and help them.”

He leaps forward and hugs me. Three almost identical growls come from behind me, but I put up a hand to quiet them.

I stand and pull him up with me and ask one of the warriors to take him to collect his stuff from the house and show him to the room we have picked out for him.

Luna Amanda pulls me in for a hug, “that was a brilliant decision Star. You are going to be the perfect Luna, firm but compassionate, a true mother to our people.”
