Chapter 416
Chapter 416
Allison totally got Mia’s personality. Mia was a straight shooter, but she was not mean–spirited or
anything. Maybe she was just a little hard on herself.
She didn’t really go into detail. After all, their relationship was just one of co–workers in a TV series,
nothing deep.
As for her relationship with Patty, it was a mystery to outsiders.
The entire cast was waiting for Sadie’s arrival. The word on the street was she was stuck in traffic and
would be here in a half hour. But at this point, she was still a no–show.
Mr. Simonds was ticked off, but he was just an assistant director. His power wasn’t that big even
though he was respected by others.
Sadie, as a talent from Epic Entertainment, can afford to be late as the leading female actress of this
play, and the whole crew just had to suck it up.
The studio needed to reschedule; the cost of the delay was no small change.
He said to his assistant, “Check where she’s at again. The drive from the cinema to here is not an hour
long, even with traffic. Ask where she’s stuck, or go pick her up if necessary.”
The assistant nodded vigorously, “Sure thing.”
Mr. Simonds, sitting behind the monitor, took off his glasses and placed them on the table, “She’s RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
making all of us wait. Does she think other actors‘ time is worthless? Can she, Sadie, cover the extra
costs? Just because Epic Entertainment is backing this play doesn’t
mean she can use it as an excuse for her tardiness.”
The assistant was sweating bullets because the call still couldn’t get through.
Allison glanced at the clock, Sadie was already 45 minutes late.
Lola was behind her, fixing her hair. Allison smiled and told Lola, “I got it.”
Lola handed her a cup of coffee, “Allison, if you’re tired, we can wait in the lounge. It’s windy here.”
“I’m fine. By the way, Lola, count how many people are here, and order some coffee for everyone.”
Lola nodded, “Sure thing, I’ll get on it. Allison, what flavor do you want?”
Allison replied, “Black coffee.”
About 16 minutes later, the coffee Lola ordered was delivered, from the nearest coffee shop. There
were many different flavors of freshly brewed coffee, a total of 26 cups.
“Allison’s treating everyone to coffee, one cup per person.” Lola distributed the coffee. Mia’s assistant,
Katie, took a cup and looked surprised, “I get one too?”
Lola squinted her eyes and smiled, “Allison said, everyone gets one.”
Katie said with admiration, “Allison is so nice. Lola, you’re so lucky to work with such a nice artist.”
Assistants knew each other’s struggles. High–profile celebrities was very particular and had very high
demands. Lesser–known celebrities offered low salaries, but they were no less particular. While Mia
was easy to work with, she had high demands. Katie was often swamped.
Lola said, “Seriously, I’ve only been with Allison for less than a week. It was Patty who asked me to
follow her. But I think Allison is really nice. She’s mild–mannered, has a good temperament, and is
super nice to us assistants. She doesn’t have many demands. I feel really lucky. But I’m not Allison’s
permanent assistant. I worry that once this series is
er, I’ll have to go work with other stars.”
Katie said, “Same here, but I’m now Mia’s permanent assistant. Mia is pretty nice, she just can be a bit
particular and hot–tempered
sometimes.”
Then Lola said in a low voice, “I used to work with Sadie, her temper is just… something el
