Chapter 5
Chapter 5
Allison stared in confusion at the man in the driver’s seat. He was a big shot at Willowbrook College, called Jason.
A rich kid that had nothing to do with her.
Allison knew him because he had been seeking her out lately. Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
“Hey, you seem to be in a rush, running out of time?” Jason propped himself up on the car window with one hand, flashing her a mischievous grin, “Need a lift?”
Allison frowned, she didn’t want to mingle with this kind of person too much, but it was clear, even if she caught the bus now, she
wouldn’t make it on time.
After hesitating for a bit, she decided to get in the car, “Thanks.”
The flashy red sports car zoomed off.
In the car, Jason took a glance at the rearview mirror, “You haven’t told me where you live yet?”
“Cedar Manor.”
Jason raised an eyebrow, what a coincidence? He chuckled, not asking any further.
Half an hour later, the car pulled into Cedar Manor, “Allison, which building is yours?”
“Thanks, Jason. You can drop me off here.”
Jason didn’t stop the car, he wanted to know where Allison lived, “If you don’t tell me, I’ll just keep driving around here.”
Allison was somewhat helpless, “Over there, the 7th building at the corner.”
Building 7…
It wasn’t until the car stopped in front of Building 7 that Allison got out of the car, thanking Jason. Just as she was about to enter, a black Bentley stopped in front of Jason’s car.
Jason turned off the car and waved at the people in the Bentley, “Lucian, Kamilla, good timing.”
Allison didn’t expect to run into Lucian here.
Lucian got out of the car, glanced at Jason, and then his gaze landed on Allison. It was just a fleeting glance, but Allison froze.
Damn, she forgot to put on a mask!
Jason introduced, “Allison, they are my cousins Lucian and Kamilla.”
“Bro, this is my classmate, Allison.”
“Allison…” Lucian repeated the name, recalling the maid who looked terrified that day.
“Do you guys know each other?” Jason asked in surprise. Even Kamilla gave Allison a few more glances.
Lucian slowly walked up to Allison, slightly bowed his head, curiously looking at her face. He had to say, she looked so much like. Penelope. If he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, he wouldn’t believe there could be two people in the world who looked so alike.
Being observed at such a close distance, Allison felt her whole body tense up, afraid he would recognize her as the woman from that night.
She quickly explained, “No, we don’t know each other…”
Lucian slightly raised his eyebrows, looking at this woman who was obviously scared and trembling, but trying to hide it. A thoughtful look flashed in his eyes, “What’s your relationship with Penelope?”
Allison was sweating bullets, nerves shot to hell.
