The Billionaire’s Maid Bride

Chapter 235

Chapter 235

Penelope wasn’t scared at all, “As long as you behave and keep the truth under wraps. Your sickly mom can stay alive, and you won’t have to suffer so

much.”

After the doctor checked Lucian out and gave him a few instructions, Lucian got out of bed. He took a few steps to get a feel for it. His high fever was gone, just a slight one left. Aside from his right hand feeling weak and numb, everything else was fine.

“Where’s the woman who came with me?”

“Mr. Lindberg, you’re referring to Allison, right? She’s awake now, in room 502. No major issues, just some scrapes and her ankle injury will need about half a month to heal.”

The man left the room and arrived at the door of room 502. He saw Shawn not far away, “Why are you here? Didn’t I ask you to take Penelope home?”

Shawn replied, “Ms. Flanagan said she wanted to see Allison”

Inside the room

Upon hearing the noise outside, Penelope quickly thought. In about two seconds, she beat Allison to the punch, gave herself a hard slap, and sat on the Пoor, “Ahh!” Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

A piercing scream.

Lucian rushed into the room, only to see Penelope lying on the floor with a handprint on her face and Allison looking at him in shock.

“My stomach hurts so much!” Penelope cried, “It hurts.”

Lucian quickly picked up Penelope, “Penelope, are you okay?”

Penelope grabbed Lucian’s hand, her face twisted with pain, “It’s not Allison’s fault. I just came to see her, to thank her. I heard she found help in the forest. that saved you. I told her it was a misunderstanding before, but she suddenly got angry and tried to hurt my baby”

“Our baby.” Penelope’s face was pale, highlighting the severity of the slap mark on her cheek. She closed her eyes and passed out.

Lucian’s face changed. He looked at Allison, “What the hell are you trying to do? Allison, you better pray that Penelope and the baby are okay!” He turned around and left the room with Penelope in his arms.

Allison smirked, a touch of self–mockery in her smile.

Penelope sure knew how to play dirty, even resorting to such tactics.

She was just sitting on the bed, not moving at all.

Thinking back to his sudden change in expression, it seemed he really cared about Penelope and the baby.

In the afternoon, when the nurse came for rounds, Allison said, “I want to be discharged.”

The nurse asked, “You want to leave now? We suggest you rest for two more days.”

Allison may look okay, but she had many wounds, scrapes and cuts, the worst on her foot.

“No need.” Allison didn’t want to stay here any longer.

“Alright, I’ll get your discharge papers ready”

Half an hour later, Allison had already changed out of her hospital gown. There was nothing of hers in the room. She turned around, ready to leave…

She just got to the door when she saw Lucian coming towards her, which surprised her.

“Leaving?” Lucian noticed she’d changed out of her hospital gown. She was ready to leave, but his gaze turned stern, “Penelope is still in the operating room, and you’re just leaving!”

Allison’s eyes widened. What? Operating room? She never touched Penelope.

After Penelope slapped herself, she sat on the floor. Her movements weren’t significant. How could she end up in the operating room?

She crossed her arms over her chest, “Mr. Lindberg, do you really believe I slapped Penelope? What’s my motive? Why would I hit her?”

“If it wasn’t you, are you saying she hit herself?”
