The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 554

Chapter 554

Easton blushed. "Am I such a naughty boy while I'm sleeping?"

But then, he thought to himself and realized he was. But he had never fallen out of bed at home.

"Then go to bed and rest for a while."

With mixed feelings, Meredith looked at Derek who looked tired.

Derek shook his head. "Forget it. I'm fine."

After that, he got up and went to the bathroom to wash up. He was used to spending all night working

at the company. He just went to wash his face.

Seeing him enter the bathroom, Meredith tidied up Easton's clothes. "Easton, how do you feel now?"

she asked.

Easton shook his head. "My stomach doesn't hurt anymore. It should be fine."

"I'll let the doctor check on you later. We'll go back if there's nothing wrong."

Easton nodded. He didn't want to stay in the hospital anymore.

Meredith tidied herself up and went out to buy breakfast for Easton.

At this moment, a cell phone rang in the room.

Easton glanced at it. It was Derek's phone by the bed.

Easton thought about it before he took a look at it. It was a call from Evelyn.

Easton snorted. He didn't expect her to appear again.

He reached out and answered the phone.

"Mr. Xavier, long time no see. Are you free recently?"

Evelyn didn't have many words for Derek, but she took every chance talking to him to prove her

existence.

"No, my dad is busy."

Easton said bluntly.

Her intention was known to everyone.

"You are?"

"I'm his precious son, Easton. Auntie, who are you?"

Knowing that he was talking to Evelyn who didn't seem to like being called auntie, Easton did it on

purpose.

Sure enough, Evelyn's face turned red with anger, but she couldn't lost temper. Instead, she managed

to say with patience, "Easton, I have something to talk to your dad about. Where is he?"

"He's with my mom. He doesn't have time to talk to you."

Evelyn clenched her phone.

"Meredith, as expected, was lying to me. Can't she let Derek go?" thought Evelyn.

"If there's nothing else, I'll hang up."

Easton was very pleased to hear that there was no response on the other side. He hung up the phone

directly.

Evelyn was not in the mood to scold Easton for being rude.

She had to do something to break them up, or else she wouldn't even have a chance to get close to

Derek.

Derek came out of the bathroom and saw Easton's smug smile. He asked with a frown, "What did you

do? Look how happy you are!"

From what he knew of his son, he was sure that he must have done something bad.

"Well, nothing."

Derek didn't believe it. He took the phone and unlocked it. Seeing that Evelyn's phone was answered,

he looked at Easton.

Easton felt a little guilty. "I was just driving away some annoying flies."

Derek snorted without caring it.

Anyway, he wasn't interested in Evelyn, and it would be best if she could give up after hearing Easton's

words.

Seeing that Derek didn't care about it, Easton was relieved.

If his dad scolded him for another woman, he would have to complain to his mom.

Fortunately, he didn't. This meant that it was the woman's wishful thinking.

At the thought of this, Easton was in a good mood.

...

The doctor said after doing the check-up for Easton, "He's fine. Stick to a light diet these days and keep

away from unhealthy snacks."

Meredith nodded repeatedly and promised to keep the doctor's words in mind. She then left the

hospital with Easton.

Just as she was about to get in the car, her phone rang.

Meredith motioned to answer the phone and walked to the side.

"Meredith, right? I'm Evelyn. We found the match to your mother's bone marrow."

Upon hearing this, Meredith did a double-take before she said, "Are you telling the truth?"

"Yes. If you want to know the details, I'll send you the address. Time waits for no man."

After that, Evelyn hung up the phone, as if she was venting her unhappiness about being hung up by

Easton.

Meredith felt that she was dreaming. They had been searching for this match for too long, and now she

was unable to believe the good news.

But...

She wondered whose bone marrow was match to her mother's. If it was Evelyn's, wouldn't it mean that

she was related to her mother by blood?

Meredith's heart was in a mess.

Seeing that she hadn't returned for a long time, Derek got out of the car and asked, "What's wrong?"

Meredith shook her head. As Evelyn had a crush on Derek, she didn't want to make things

complicated.

"It's okay. The hospital just told me about mom's condition."

Derek looked deeply at Meredith, feeling that things were not as simple as she said.

"Let's go back. I want to take a shower and change."

Meredith noticed that Derek didn't seem to believe her, so she gave him a push and signaled him to

hurry back.

Derek could only get in the car.

The car drove very fast and soon they arrived at the hotel.

After they went back to the hotel, Meredith said, "Easton, I'll be busy. You can stay here for a while. If

you need anything, go to your dad or uncle Parker."

"Mom, what are you doing?"

Easton felt something was wrong, wondering why she was so secretive.

"Nothing. I'll go out." Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Without explaining much, Meredith got changed and went out.

She took a taxi to the address Evelyn gave her.

It was a very high-end restaurant. Meredith took a deep breath and walked in. Then she saw Evelyn

sitting on the side, waiting for her.

"Miss Smith."

Meredith said hello and sat across from her. "Let's get to the point. What's going on?"

Evelyn took out a test report. "Take a look."

Without hesitation, Meredith took it over. As she looked through it, her breathe quickened.

The match was successful and the match rate was 99.99 %.

This meant that as long as this person agreed to donate bone marrow, then her mother would be

saved.

"Where is this person now?"

Meredith asked anxiously.

"Right in front of you."

Evelyn looked at Meredith with a half-smile, expecting her reaction.
